This is a really good quality toy smartphone. It has way more features than I was expecting – in fact, probably more features than some of my elderly relatives’ actual smartphones, apart from being unable to makes calls or texts.
It charges quickly and has a long battery life. The touchscreen is good, although not as good as a real smartphone, and there is some lag. This is obviously fine for a toy, though!
There are loads of features. You can take photos and videos, in surprisingly good quality, play music, play games, listen to stories, pretty much everything you’d expect to find on a real smartphone and more. Obviously the “apps” are basic, but are more than adequate for a child’s needs, and actually perfect for younger children who might struggle to navigate a real app on a real smartphone.
My toddler is constantly trying to get my phone, so this toy is great for him. His own special little phone! He loves to swipe through it, click on the apps, look at videos, and listen to music. It keeps him occupied for as long as you can expect a toddler with a short attention span to remain occupied!
These little gadgets are second and answer and my favourite purchases my children today. they are absolutely fantastic they take pictures they play games they set alarms. they really do anything and everything that I regular phone would do bar make phone calls. comes with and then we card and a few accessories. battery life is also fantastic
Arrived quickly. Minimal packaging. Easy to set up and use. Looks very smart and also made to high quality. Camera photo options and colours are actually really awesome, wish adult mobiles had these funky features. Speaker is loud and clear. Phone is a great size for considerable age range. Huge selection of games, that are fun, interactive and educational. Flashlight sis a great little touch to this phone. Overall this little kids smartphone is built so well, very convenient and super value for money. I highly recommend, kids form 4-12 will love this, as we experienced.
This toy cellphone/camera comes in quite mundane packaging which makes it look a bit poor as a gift.
Firstly, here are my main pros and cons for this product:
Pro:
Surprisingly inexpensive
Glossy attractive design
Nice display screen
Decent images on maximum setting
Solid build, so can take some rough handling
Con:
Poor low-light performance
———-
So, as you can see the positives easily outweigh the negatives. The biggest issue might be the low light performance, the worst of which is blurring (due to an extended shutter time). If you tell kids how to avoid this (stay still when in the dark!) then you can work around it. Outdoors is fine, you get nice usable images 90% of the time. The video is very poor in low light, as are all cheap cameras really.
The software such as frames works fine and the kids had no problem using them. The functions are of course basic, but fine for the age range it is aimed at. Most of the apps and games are cut-down and simplified version of real apps, but with no internet access of course. The flashlight is good enough to read in the dark with, or emergency use.
‘Kids’ toy phones like this make great presents, but a lot of them are junk that falls apart quickly. This model is well-made with a tough exterior. It is above average in every way, and so I can easily recommend it at the current price. There are many near-identical products around right now so check out the competition on amazon to see if there is a different design or colour you might prefer.
Overall this gets four fun stars.
This is a great little toy phone for the price. Small enough for little hands yet not too small its not useable! The phone has a colour touch screen, front and back camera and built is torch. The cameras are as expected along with the screen. Nothing special but good for the price and quality of the phone. The touch screen feels responsive and accurate when swiping through the menus and games. Speaker quality is clear and loud which is handy as app’s include voice recorder and music player. All required cables and included expect a UISB to UK plug to charge it.
In all honesty this phone really exceeded my expectations for the price
Bought this for my niece’s fourth birthday. She was instantly drawn to its bright pink color and the variety of apps. Watching her navigate through the alphabet games and story features was a joy. It’s educational yet fun, balancing play with learning. The dual cameras are a hit — she loves taking pictures. However, the screen isn’t as responsive as I hoped. Occasionally, she gets frustrated when it doesn’t register her touch. The build feels sturdy, though, which is essential for anything in the hands of a young child.
Just be aware that it has a couple of cameras and a microphone in it, the device has the ability to record (though you won’t be writing home about the quality), so you might want to periodically check those just to make sure nothing sensitive has been recorded just incase your little one leaves it somewhere.
Because I’m a little bit paranoid and curious, I did open this thing up to see if there were any wireless capability to the device. While it does use a mobile phone processor (mt6260a) to power the thing, their are no radios in the device, so the only way to extract data from it is if you have the device in your hands.
There is an SD card inside the device which acts as storage, but that card is not accessible without opening the device.
Other than that the little one does seem to enjoy mimicking the grown ups with this thing and saves them from dropping my phone.
More than I was expecting, this toy phone includes loads for little ones. Camera, stories, games, learning activities, an alarm, flashlight, help on how to do things (make you bed etc).
Great first time “phone”. It does not make phonecall, text or have access to the internet.
This is a really nice product and exceeded my expectations. Everything works well, the screen is very colourful and bright and its full of interactive things to do.
The phone is very lightweight, has a safety/extra on/off slider switch on the side as well as the main on/off button. Once switched on you are greeted with the welcome screen, which can be customised, and they you can run through the various ‘apps’. With a camera, video recorder, music player, voice recorder, calculator, timers, torch, games, an educational a-b-c app, a storytelling app and a painting program there is a lot here to use and play with.
The speaker is pretty good and the camera is adequate. The touch screen works very well, I tried a similar toy smart watch with a touch screen recently that both had a big delay and wasn’t easy to use at all. The battery life also seems good which is surprising given how light the phone is.
It comes with a lanyard and charging cable and on plugging into my computer the internal memory of the device looks to be 2.28 MB which is perhaps a little small.
But for a toy it works really very well and seems good value at its current price.
As a dad who’s been through the wringer with toy phones, I’ve got to say the UCIDCI Kids Cell Phone had me hopeful for a hot minute that it might finally trick my little one into leaving my phone alone. So, here’s the lowdown:
Pros:
Touchscreen Magic: The touchscreen is a nifty feature, definitely a step up from the old-school button bashers.
Age-Appropriate Design: Tailored for the 6-8 crowd, it’s got enough whizz to keep them intrigued (for a bit, at least).
Birthday-Ready: Comes across as a decent gift, especially if you’re trying to dodge the ‘real phone’ bullet for a bit longer.
Cons:
The Real Deal: Here’s the kicker – my kid wasn’t entirely bamboozled. He played with it, sure, but still made a beeline for my phone whenever she could. It’s like kids have a sixth sense for tech!
Durability Question Mark: Given the rough and tumble of playtime, I’m not convinced this toy phone will survive the long haul without a few battle scars.
Bottom line, it’s a good stab at a kid-friendly phone that won’t have you wincing at your bank statement. Just don’t expect it to completely replace the allure of a real smartphone in your little one’s eyes. After all, they’re pretty sharp, these kids!
This is a good way for young children to have the fun of an interactive touch screen ‘phone’, without the risks involved in letting them play with your own mobile phone. They naturally want to copy adults and this toy gives them many features that actually work – such as the front and rear camera so they can easily take photos or selfies. Naturally the quality won’t be brilliant from our perspective – but the target audience will be happy with it.
There is a button on one side that needs to be moved to the ‘on’ position before the usual on/off button will work. This is helpful to prevent it accidentally turning on and draining the battery when not used.
There are 4 screens which are easily to swipe through left / right (it’s very intuitive). Click on the app you want, or press the physical round button at the bottom of the phone to go back a stage.
I ordered this camera/toy phone as my granddaughter loves taking photos and videos on peoples phones. It included a memory card already fitted and a lanyard for handing around the neck. It is quick and easy to charge and so far hasn’t run out even though loads of photos have been taken. There are a few preloaded songs but it is also possible to download some favourites onto the memory card. This little camera also has some video games and a calculator. Easy for a young child to operate.
The pictures are poor quality but my granddaughter doesn’t really notice that. Overall a good toy with practical uses and saves my mobile phone from being grabbed at every opportunity although it is a tad expensive.
It’s an excellent toy phone for kids.
Just to clarify, the phone in the listing differs from the one received and reviewed here. This phone does not have a separate front selfie camera and a rear camera. It actually has one rotatable camera. So, it can take a front selfie as well as a rear camera view, when rotated.
This device is great, so easy to use and has lots of different options of entertainment.
Pros
– this is really easy to use
– it’s a touch screen
– it has short stories and music to listen to and you can voice record
– it has a calendar, a calculator, and you can set habits and routines
– it has games and also learning opportunities
– it’s breaks down tasks into simple steps such as how to make your bed.
– it’s has lots of apps and works like a simple smart phone.
– it feels durable and the screen is very clear and you can adjust the brightness
– it has a camera that rolls forwards or back for selfie mode or forward facing.
No cons, this product is great and well worth the money in my opinion.
It is a great technology as it saves my phone from my kid and I can give it to them with peace of mind that it does not have anything harmful and they can use this in a safe environment. The phone has features just like normal phone without sim or internet. the best part of the camera where the quality is actually good. I like that it is small, fit for the tiny hands.

As parents, we appreciate the toy’s focus on age-appropriate content and the absence of any unnecessary complexities. It strikes a balance between introducing technology and maintaining a child-friendly interface, allowing our little one to explore and learn independently.
Nice little toy phone for around 4-8 year old. Our granddaughter uses an old mobile flip-phone we had in a drawer for imaginary conversations with her toys – she will be excited to get this upgrade!
It has a very rudimentary camera, a calculator and alphabet guide. It also plays games and has some general knowledge information, but the main attraction is that it looks like a mobile phone and seems pretty robust. It would certainly make a nice Christmas present. It’s difficult to rate value for money because the price isn’t currently listed, but if priced competitively it’s worth a look.
The one supplied is very good. The camera is a swivel job for front or rear, not a twin camera as the photos.
The menus are different.
Having said that its a functional device that performs all of the tasks well. Bright screen, loud speaker, simple touch screen operation.
The booklet is quite comprehensive and readable which is rare.
There are lots of features with 4 pages of options/ menus. They all work.
As a small digi camera even an adult could use this device!
Its really very good.
This little phone is touchscreen which makes it feel so much more realistic than others I’ve tried. I have to say firstly that the build of the phone doesn’t feel great, not as sturdy as others – but it more than makes up for it in what is an available on the phone. Lots of working apps, calculator, games, camera, videos, photo library and so much more!
The camera quality isn’t brilliant but it works and is great for kids to have, plus it has a little flip around camera on the top to do normal pics and selfies if you flick the camera round.
The screen is bright and the unit comes with a usb cord to charge it and also a carry handle plus instructions.
My 3.5yo granddaughter could navigate this phones quite easily but just a bit of help. She like the games best and the camera. I think it’s great value for money.
