The cable itself is built very well. Bothered ends are metal and the cable is braided. It’s feels really high quality. The joins are reinforced so that the wire does not get damaged if bent to fit in.
I have had no issue with any flickering or the screen going black or anything like this. This is expected as it is hdmi certified.
However there is one small issue with the cable. It fits quite loosely into the monitor. This is an issue of the cable not the monitor as I have to hdmi cords attached and the other is nice and tight. It has slipped out twice so far but after moving the position of the cable it fits a lot better and hasn’t fallen out since
It is also worth noting the type of hdmi port you are plugging this into. HDMI 2.1 will work with every hdmi port, but if the port is slower (e.g. 2.0) you will only get the slower speed (2.0) so it is worth checking the hdmi port on your tv or monitor and may be worth considering ordering a display port cable instead as the older and slower versions till offer great resolutions at high frame rates as
I would recommend this cable
I don’t have an 8K monitor yet, but it works fine with both a 5K & 4K monitor and TV I have tried it on.
Using it to connect my Mac mini to my monitor and being *K, future proofing myself should I be fortunate enough to get one.
Freq. speed would also suit gaming, but I use mainly for work and photography.
Nice quality cable.
I needed a long and flexible cable to run from the under desk mounted computer and along an extended range monitor mounting arm. Some previous used cables suffered with signal due to acute bends from conforming to the routing of the monitor arm. These don’t suffer the same problem. They tick every box and I strongly recommend!
This is all the HDMI cable you need. Don’t bother with the ultra high end stuff, it’s a digital signal, this does the job beautifully. Connecting my Panasonic UB450 with my LG C3 I can watch all my favourite movies in glorious pin sharp 4K UHD.
Well constructed, metal ends and a flexible braided cable, all for a price that is completely reasonable
If you need a Certified HDMI cable then ugreen is your product im so happy with it I use the same model cable for all my devices works perfectly fine with my PS5, PS4 and Nvidia Shield
I bought these to replace some 4K leads which definitely did not work with my setup (Samsung Neo QLED TV, Sony surround amp, 4K Apple TV and PS5). All equipment functioned well with the 3m cables. Running tests on Apple TV revealed a high quality connection.
All in all I’m pleased as I can now just leave them to do their job.
Loses 1 star because, well, 16 for a cable!
I Tried so many HDMI 2.1 cables this one does what it’s meant to 99.9% of the time.
I wanted to connect my PC to my TV using 4k 144hz, HDR, VRR & ALLM I know it’s a lot to ask but hey I’ve paid for it I want it to work (even if I can see no difference).
Whilst every “2.1” cable would connect and show 4k 144hz some would not do HDR or ALLM. Others would show the right logos etc, for HDR & VRR 144, but they would flash black and reconnect without one or the other. This went on for ages until I thought the TV must be the issue.
Finally I saw this ‘certified’ 2.1 cable. I bought it and voila I had a while evening without issue. Everything just worked! I have since used it over 2 weeks and I have had 2 extremely quick black screen flashes. I have however never lost the 4k HDR, 144, VRR, ALLM and as I’m using a PC, the random screen flashes could have been caused by a multitude of different reasons. I think the cable itself Is doing the best it can with what I’m throwing at it.
Ugreen knows what they’re doing when it comes to cabling and chargers. I’ve practically gone in full UGreen with my USB cables GAN chargers/travel chargers etc. It was inevitable that the day I upgraded my TV was the day I should upgrade my HDMI cables.
Ideal for XBOX PS PC 4K 8K HDMI2.1
Expertly packaged feel good quality and the braided cabling makes them even better.
Do not hesitate.
Yes I would recommend.
Always dubious of how a certified HDMI 2.1 can be this cheap, but these are excellent. Very solidly built with good weight to the connectors and sturdy braided cable. The QR code scans correctly and they are authentic with their certification.
Connected up an Apple TV 4K box to an OLED TV and another of the same cable from the eARC port of the TV to a Denon AVR. Audio and Video in perfect sync. All formats of HDR passed correctly – Dolby Vision, HDR10, HDR10+ and HLG with no issues at all.
Looking around for these cables you have a choice – pick a generic one from randomly named brand you’ve never heard of, or go with something that has more brand recognition like Sony, but pay premium (in remember 150 hdmi “premium” gold-plated cable from Sony back in the day).
There couple of challenger brands which rose to prominence through mic of quality and price, and ugreen isnonenof them. It literally is as every brand should be, solid products , but also cheap to replace. They all do what they say, and this HDMI cable is not different. I was hoping for it to be perhaps a bit thinner but I guess it has to be like that.
