UK to India Plug Adapter – India to UK adapter with USB C [PD20W] Fast Charge, Indian to UK :
This is well built and functional, offering various methods to charge your devices in areas that run a Type-D plug system.
The single fast charging USB-C port is coloured orange if you need it, but if you have a structured device charging routine it shouldn’t be required so much.
This plug seems well made and nice and compact. As well as compatible for Pakistan, India can be used in many other countries. These type of plugs are great for charging everyone’s devices and not have to carry multiple chargers.
Has 2 usb-c ports and 2 USB-A ports. Does the job and great for holidays. Can charge or power upto 5 devices. Very versatile.
As I’m not in India at the time of reviewing, I am basing this on a test using a worldwide adapter. This adapter is quite stiff to insert a UK plug, but that’s not uncommon with other UK/India adapters I’ve used. It does seem to be sturdier in an Indian adapter socket than ones I’ve bought out there, but I will have to update this review if my impression changes on my next trip to India.
The adapter is very compact, which is useful for travel, but the payoff for this is the USB sockets being situated very close to the 3-pin socket, so a larger plug may interfere with access to the USBs.
Overall, it seems to be pretty good, and an improvement on those I already have.
This travel adaptor, with its design and functionality, ticked all the boxes of my travel charging needs. The 5-in-1 Type D plug adapter fits securely into most of the Indian subcontinent outlets, allowing me to plug in my UK devices effortlessly. I tried the fitting with my other adaptor and it fits perfectly into the type D sockets. The inclusion of two USB C and two USB A ports is a perfect and most useful addition, as it accommodates all my charging needs in one compact device. The USB C ports offer fast charging, which is great. The adapter is surprisingly lightweight and compact, easily fitting into my backpack or even a pocket.
The adapter feels a bit plasticky, which initially made me question its durability. It has held up well so far, but it would be reassuring if it had a more robust build quality. Also, I found it difficult to insert the UK plug in the socket the first time as the safety cover inside the socket is very tight. It took some effort to overcome that.
Overall, the adaptor offers the convenience of charging multiple devices simultaneously, boasts fast charging capabilities, and is easy to carry around.
UK to India Plug Adapter
The adapter is extremely light at 90g and is compact, when plugged in, it sticks out 4cm and the front face is 7.5cm by 5.5cm. It provides a single 3 UK pin socket on the front, two USB-A sockets and two USB-C. It doesn’t convert voltage. It plugs into the Indian 3 round pin socket.
The USB-A ports provide up-to 12W (5V & 2.4A), single USB-C will support up-to 20W
As not in India, I tested it with a worldwide to UK adapter. All the sockets worked fine. The USB sockets are very close (~1cm above the 3 pin socket) – so anything larger than a standard plug might block them.
The adapter arrives in a drawstring bag inside a small cardboard box with a very small generic instruction leaflet.
Overall – nicely compact for use when travelling, ideal for use with gadgets requiring USB charging.
