Is the USB-C power supply needed when the remote control is not in use?

Generally, it is recommended to connect the power source to the HDMI switch to achieve a more stable connection. Note: 2*AAA batteries are not included.

What can I do if there is no signal at all?

1. Make sure the USB-C power supply is connected to the HDMI switch.

2. To achieve different resolutions, make sure the AWG and length of the cable meet the requirements.

How far does the infrared remote control reach?

If the remote control battery is sufficient, the distance can be up to 33 ft when it is pointed straight ahead and the angle is 60 degrees.

Why does it take 12-15 seconds to display the PS5 image?

This is due to the EDID detection adjustment when switching on the PS5. For other devices, it usually only takes 6-7 seconds.

What should I do if a black screen suddenly appears?

If the screen turns black, please check the indicator on the case to confirm whether you accidentally switched to the HDMI source that is not connected to any device.

For today’s TVs that never have enough HDMI ports an HDMI splitter like this is almost a necessity. What I like about this is that it has a remote so you don’t ever have to climb behind your TV to swap sources. Many of these are automatic but having the remote is a sure way to switch sources.

Works great and no loss of image quality.

This HDMI splitter is perfect for plugging in multiple devices into one screen. I use with a PS5, Rog Ally and Mac Mini. All work fine connected to a 4K Asus Monitor.

The remote makes it very easy to switch between sources and allows you to hide the switcher a little more out of the way – just as well really as it’s quite small and doesnt weigh enough keep fully flat with 4x HDMI leads plugged in. In fact that’s my only gripe with it but as I can hide it away it’s a small gripe and I’m not going to penalise it for that!

Definitely worth the money. A handy bit of kit!

This compact, plastic-cased and rubber-footed unit allows one HDMI input, for example on a television, to take up to three HDMI inputs, and comes complete with a gloss-finish infra-red remote control.

The front panel has three LEDs to indicate which input is selected, together with a pushbutton to cycle through the HDMI inputs in turn, whether there’s something connected to them or not.

The remote takes two AAA batteries (not included) and allows direct selection of inputs 1 to 3 (instead of cycling through) and also has an on/off button to shut the unit down altogether. It’s also compatible with the remote for the 5-port model, in which case button 4 performs the on/off function. If turned off with the remote, to turn it on you either need to turn it back on with the remote or unplug all power sources from the switcher (so all USB and HDMI cables) and plug them back in.

It has a separate USB-C power input from which it will draw a maximum of about 20mA – and comes with a charge-only USB-A to USB-C cable for this purpose – but will alternatively take all the power it needs from the HDMI devices connected to it.

HDCP appears to be passed between the input and output devices; connecting the output to a device which doesn’t support HDCP will cause HDCP-protected sources to throw an error or blank their screen.

This is a HDMI switch for multiple devices into 1 screen.

I ordered this switch as we have a PS4 and PS5 in the playroom but only 1 tv so ordered to save form having to keep swapping the HDMI cable from the back of the PS4 to the PS5.

The switch was very easy and straightforward to set up. Once connected it is so easy now to switch between consoles without any hassle. The remote is handy but there is a button to switch between devices if you lose it or it runs out of batteries.

If your tv only has a measly 1 HDMI port then this switch is the solution your looking for.

A very well made hub that works perfectly.

It’s small and light but it still feels reasonably robust and gets the job done. I really like the ability it gives me to switch off some ports whilst having others still on too. That offers me the flexibility I need for my work.

At the current price of 19.99 I think it’s fair value compared to similar hubs on the market as well.

This uni HDMI 4k HDMI selector takes one of three feeds and produces that as the output. It is housed in a metal box so that it won’t suffer from interference and has the three input sockets along the back. On one side is the HDMI output and on the other is the USB C socket for powering the device along with its indicator light.
On the front are three indicator lights, the button that you use to switch between the sources and an infrared sensor.
The infrared sensor picks up signals from the remote control which allows you to select sources at random and switch it on or off.
The unit handles the signals well and it does everything that you would expect it to do.
This is a sturdy little HDMI selector with a useful remote.

uni HDMI Switch 4K@60Hz, HDMI Splitter 3 in 1 Out

As this comes encased in plastic, it looks cheap and poorly constructed, but in order to keep prices down it is understandable. I still feel as though it is priced high for what it is.
Unfortunately there is no real way to keep things neat and tidy with this type of hardware, due to the nature of the inputs which are bulky at the best of times, regardless of how compact the HDMI switch is.
Capable of HDR so no loss of quality.
Comes with remote for operational simplicity. (No batteries supplied)

Does the job, what more can I say! I have a Samsung TV which only has a pitiful 2 HDMI ports so we use this to expand it. The remote works fine as do all the devices we have used with it. The build quality of the switcher is very good also and not a horrible cheap plastic.

    Pros:

I’ve had no issues using it with both my Apple TV and Nintendo Switch. Switching between devices is seamless and hassle-free.

It handles 4K resolution at 60Hz beautifully, with HDR10 support that really brings out the vibrant colours and sharp details in my games and movies.

The remote makes it super easy to switch between my Apple TV and Nintendo Switch from wherever I’m sitting, which adds a lot of convenience to my setup.

It looks great in my entertainment centre—compact and modern, fitting in perfectly with the rest of my setup without taking up too much space.

I haven’t noticed any lag or loss in quality during use. It reliably delivers a smooth and enjoyable viewing and gaming experience every time.

    Verdict:

So far, the uni HDMI Switch 4K@60Hz has performed flawlessly with my Apple TV and Nintendo Switch. It’s made managing multiple HDMI devices easy, offering excellent visual quality and ease of use with its remote control. Its sleek design and dependable performance have definitely exceeded my expectations. If you’re looking for a hassle-free way to enhance your HDMI setup, I highly recommend giving this switch a try.

I got this three in one HDMI splitter to help me organize my gaming station. This device allows me to connect all of my gaming stations together and run a single HDMI cable to the TV without a need of plugging and unplugging the HDMI cables each time I want to switch between devices. Once I have connected all my devices I checked the quality on all of the them, and everything worked all right and the quality of the image was perfect as well.
I really liked the remote control which allows me to switch between my devices while sitting on a sofa.

If the TV or monitor lacks sufficient HDMI sockets this gives a simple way to switch between inputs. There is a USB C to USB A cable for power and a remote control to change inputs (batteries not supplied). The switch is fine but the USB cable is quite short and you need to find a power source, which could be the TV if the USB socket is free. All fine for doing what it’s supposed to at reasonable price.

    In a nutshell:

    Things I liked:

+ Works. That’s the most important thing. I have mine connecting two computers to a single display and wit works fine at 1440p, 75Hz.
+ Well made – plastic body, but feels well constructed.
+ Good value at 16 after vouchers applied, given the build quality.
+ Super simple to use, works just fine. Remote is straightforward, no unnecessary buttons

    Things I didn’t like:

    – I wish all the cables could have exited the device at the rear. It would look much better. What’s worse, the side ports are not optional – one is the HDMI out, which must be connected, and the other is the USB C power connecter, which again needs to be connected.

    Do I recommend it?

Yes, as long as you don’t mind the fact that the ports are on the back and both sides. You can always use 90 degree adapters, but once you factor in their cost, you might be better off buying a more expensive model that has all the ports on the rear. But in terms of the quality, I can’t really fault it.

I get that this is designed to be compact. But that’s what I feel is the design flaw.

With all cables connected, it’s difficult for the device to look neat and stay in position.
As you are forced to use the remote, the IR sensor needs to be unobscured. The remote in my experience needs near-perfect line of sight, too.

Also, you need to provide your own AAA batteries.

Otherwise the device works absolutely fine and is very good value.
The marketing for it is exactly how I use it – 1 TV, some old consoles all into the single HDMI port. Exactly what I need.

This HDMI switch is housed in a neat plastic case. It looks well made, but will not stand up to rough handling as well as others that are made of metal.

The switch comes with an infra-red remote control which needs two AAA cells that aren’t supplied.

The switch needs to be connected to a USB port which can supply the necessary 5V and a USB-A to USB-C lead is provided for the purpose. It does not come with its own mains power supply. Under some circumstances I found the switch could derive parasitic power from the connected HDMI devices, but this is not mentioned in the instructions and might not prove reliable.

Installation is simply a matter of plugging in the cables and choosing your input. I tested the operation by connecting an Amazon Fire TV Stick and an iPad Pro (using a USB-C to HDMI adapter), as inputs, and my Dell computer monitor as the display.

Switching between the Fire TV Stick and the tablet was fine and, as expected, sound as well as video was transmitted. There was a significant delay when the changeover button was pressed, but I guess this was due to HDMI negotiating taking place and the monitor readjusting.

Although the switch itself is quite small, the tangle of wires that accompanies it, especially if they are high performance 4K leads, is substantial. The ability to hide everything away and use the remote control is a big plus when it comes to tidying things up, but the decision to put sockets on three sides of the box does cause it to look less tidy than it might otherwise be.

If the switch is still visible after hiding away all the clutter, the chosen input is indicated by a LED and of course it needs to be visible for the IR remote to work!

4.0 out of 5 stars Works Fine, but Looks Untidy with Leads Connected to Three Sides of the Plastic Case

Coming well boxed with a remote and usb lead for power, this is a very light device but made from decent enough plastics that a drop wont be a problem.
Its very simple in nature 3 ports on the back (no wiggle or give) for your input and one exit port on the side to connect to whatever display you need.
It just works, press a button to switch signal and a second delay for the handshake and its working. The only complaint is that it NEEDS the remote and ergo NEEDS AAA batteries. This is fine but if you lose it or just dont need the distance (using it on a pc desktop with consoles) then its just another thing you have to use to flick devices. Some face buttons also would of been a welcome addition, you’ll also need to have it out in the open because of the IR sensor being exposed on the front.

    HDMI Switch Box

Box allows you to choose 1 of 3 HDMI inputs & provide to one HDMI output – good option where you have a range of sources and one TV/monitor. Supports 4K@60hz

Box is well made with lightweight metal case (60g), compact (10.5*5.5*2.5cm). The three input HDMI are on the back, output on the HDMI on the left, requires 5V USB-C (lead included) power on right hand side. Has a front mounted switch and input LEDs, can also be controlled by remote (requires 2 AAA, not included). Box has grips on base.

Arrives in plastic bag inside a sleeved lift lid branded cardboard box.

This was a brilliant replacement for my current HDMI switch which is 2 port, not only was it an upgrade to a 3 port, but also comes with a remote.

This means I can hide, well almost, the module behind the monitor and be able to switch between my first PC to my Laptop, bit having a HDMI output.

I was thinking of using a KVM, but I have a keyboard that has the ability to connect to multiple devices, so it made sense to keep things simple. Anyhow, this was easy to setup. It was simply a case of powering up via a spare USB A port from one of my current power-supply units and then was a simple case of plugging in the HDMI ports.

Suggest having all devices off when doing this kind of work to avoid any chances of damage to electronic equipment.

Remote range is decent, as long as the sensor at the module isn’t blocked, it will pick up the signal despite it being located behind the monitor.

The main unit is house in black plastic and visually looks good with the indented top cover. Assuming you have suitable HDMi cables. its is very easy to set up and use. Upto three sources go in and one goes out t o the TV etc. Switched between the connected devices can be done using physical buttons on the box or using the included remote. The remote needed 2x AAA batteries which are not included. Was able to connect my PS5, Nintendo switch and a laptop HDMI cable and switch between the devices. The box does need power and I was able to use on of the USB sockets on my TV. Overall, a good looking HDMI switch that works as expected.
