Solid, well made, thick fire-bowl. Slightly tall walls protect coals and burning wood from the wind. The bottom net doesn’t get too hot. Hight is reasonable and practical. Thank you.

The sturdy steel construction feels built to last, and I appreciate the included fire poker for safe flame management. I’m impressed with this firepit, it’s attractive and the perfect size for my small garden.

The metal is a good thickness and powder-coated to a matt finish so it should last well. I’ll definitely need a cover for it (to protect against the weather) but the manufacturer makes one at a reasonable price so I’ve no issues there. Putting it together was fairly easy, though the instructions are very basic and it would have been nice to have some written instructions along with the pictographs. It took about ten minutes to put together overall, including the time taken to hunt for the screws/bolt/nuts (they’re wrapped up inside the bubble wrap in a red bag for reference.)

Once it’s made up its weighty but not too heavy to move when required. The basin which holds the fire is deep enough that I’m not too worried about sparks flying out, but basic fire-safety should be used (fire extinguisher/fire blanket on hand, and ensure its not placed near anything flammable, including above it. Never leave it unattended, etc) I like that it can be used with both wood and charcoal as fuel too, and the risers inside the basin will help with airflow if you’re using it with wood.

Overall I think this is a stylish, well designed/made fire pit and I’m looking forward to using it during the late spring/summer/early autumn months before it gets stored away in the shed. 5*

I have lots of plans for this fire pit. I am aiming to place it in the garden, on top of non flamable material, eg ceramic tiles and use the fire pit for when I emerge from my ice pod in the garden to warm myself up.

Also once my pergola is built, I am aiming to use this fire pit inside my pergola, on top of concrete tiles this time, to again warm up after emerging from my ice pod cold plunge; and warm up during the winter in my pergola.

It is on the heavy side; but manageable. I have not yet screwed it together as I need to buy a cover for it as it started raining seconds after I took the video. It needs a rain cover which you can buy on Amazon. That way I can leave it out in the garden instead of storing it in the shed.

I am nervous about how to put a fire out and waiting to be sure it is fully out before leaving a fire unattended or closing down for the night just in case any embers start to light up again. I’ll have to look into how to prevent that from happening.

It has been a very long time since I started a barbeque. I assume this will be no different. It looks like a large space for a fire. Hopefully it won’t get too high as that would make me nervous.

I need to get all the equipment and scenario together first before trying to light a fire including getting some wood and charcoal.

It is a shame there is no protective cover for it.
