This fire pit was very easy to put together, having only one screw to connect. The design and shape works very well, focusing the heat forward and the smoke upward. I’ve really been enjoying using it.
It is very well constructed and of a high quality. It’s a good size for a fire and not too large or too small. It’s very sturdy. The only issue is that without a waterproof cover it collects rainwater and started to rust a little. I simply drilled a hole in it so that the water could escape. This firepit is wonderful feature in my outdoor seating area. It looks modern and stylish. Super easy to put together and use. I do wish there was some sort of drainage hole in the bottom tho, as it does fill with water which can be frustrating.
I have found this VonHaus Firepit the ideal size for my small patio. At H54 x D51cm the Firepit is a good size for producing plenty of heat, without taking up too much room.
It’s really nice having friends and family come over, and spend time outside chatting into evening. Huddling around this Firepit just adds that cosy feeling, and takes the chill off as it gets late into the evening.
I have been using smokeless fire logs, which is widely available online. After use I store the Firepit in the shed, because although its nicely black powder coated steel, I’m sure it would start to rust eventually.
Overall, this is a nice little Firepit. that works well. I have had various VonHaus over the last few years, and so far they have all been good quality for the price.

It’s not too bad actually, it’s simple by design but allows a heated light experience with the ability to grill on top of it. At the current sale price of 34 it isn’t too bad, and doesn’t have a huge floor profile meaning it won’t take up too much space, great for those of us with a patio.
My main issue is the lack of a cover. It’s just going to get filled with water when it rains. If you don’t have anything overhanging to cover it, you are going to have to come up with a solution.
It came well packaged and in a large box, but it’s not very heavy so it was easy to handle. The steel isn’t very thick , but that’s not surprising given its price. It looks very nice and is bigger than I expected. Once burning it keeps going, and the curved back radiates heat forward a bit. Ideally you’d store in out of the rain, as it no doubt will start to rust after a few uses. Overall , a decent budget firepit.
