Bought for myself and a second set for a friend. Easy to use, excellent colour, flow and consistency. Used for decorating plates and some vases so far and it has covered well.
I drew this picture on my little daughters shirt more then a year ago by using the acrylic pens. It’s been washed hundreds of times and now you can see-the fabric is no longer white, but the painting still “shine bright”. Very good product!
Was a bit sceptical when I ordered these due to the amount of pens/colours you get for the low price, but I am really pleasantly surprised. They are clear barrelled, so you can see how much paint is in, and they are all full. Very easy to prime and get the paint flowing. Nice sturdy small nibs. Great colour range. Dry quickly, and nice and opaque. Overall a great purchase, defo recommend!
I opened the pack & found each pen individually wrapped.
Each pen had to be unwrapped & all pens were made from transparent plastic showing the ink inside, but most pens seemed to contain ink that was dry for half the pen (see photo).
Though the pens did work (if instructions were followed), some pens appeared”half full” (as half of the ink in many pens looks dry). this looks like it may be combated by heavy & long shaking of the pens.
Have tried a few different brands of acrylic paint pens, from “unknown,” to the most popular and these are the best, so far!
Lovely, clear, bright colours and smooth, even flow of paint. Excellent for painting, drawing and lettering on so many surfaces. Love them!
My first dabble with acrylic paint pens and I’m a firm fan. Excellent colour tones and colour combination which I originally looked for. Good paint flow and consistency. Easy to seal closed. Already thinking about getting an additional set to carry me over. Thank you. Diane
As a pro artist who loves experimenting and often spend a chunk of change on the more expensive supplies, I wanted to try out more colours with acrylic pens after buying a small selection of a well known brand in black white and gold.
I never expect the world from cheap art supplies, but I have to confess I’m surprised by how solid these pens are! The colours are bright but not offensively so, as someone who uses them in a sketchbook fairly regularly, I prefer bright colours with a subtle touch and these do the job nicely. On paper they go down pretty smoothly, occasionally they might need a 2nd coat, but for the vast majority in this pack that’s not the case. I can’t talk to other surfaces, but they are nicely opaque and layer over each other with good opacity, which is great! Given the bredth of colours you get, I think these are great value for money if you want to try out these kinds of pens. Note that the extra fine tips can still put down pretty chunky lines and you can’t really control the thickness *too* much, so if you work with particuarly small sketchbooks or need particularly fine linework or detailing, they might still be a little on the thick side. But compared to the chukny Posca pens or the like, they’re a nice size.
My wife wanted some new acrylic pens for our craft business to help with detailed work on a new item we were creating so we decied on this pack which had a great choice of colours and seemed to offer what we were looking for. As soon as they arrrived my wife started to create and she told me they were terrific straight out of the box, a quick shake, a sharp press or two and you were ready to go. They were fine to hold and had a very smooth flow and glided across what she was working on and great coverage so would definitely be a bonus to our work as they can write on glass, canvas items, and on stones which would be a great thing for our grandchildren who are going to be painting stones to add to a large NHS sign dug out of the grass in the village and is being filled with painted stones from the kids. So many uses and so versatile, I feel they will last a fair time so all in all money well spent.
I’ve tried 5 types of acrylic pen sets over the past couple of years and these are the best by far! The nib is small enough for detailed colouring, the flow of the pen is very consistent (others I’ve tried I have to pump them a lot on the side until they pool and then end up using them more like a quill and ink). Above all, the acrylic ink is very opaque! Others I’ve tried you can need a few layers to get them opaque. I used the icy blue on top of the dark maroon (once the maroon had fully dried, a couple of mins usually) and it was a full bodied icy blue colour with no maroon tint/darkening showing through!
Perfect for pebble painting, doodles, colouring in books (though beware it will obliterate any lines for the colouring in peice that you go over!)
Really chuffed with these!
Four of the colours don’t work at all the white, black deep red and deep yellow. I haven’t returned them as I’d used a lot of the other colours before I realised these colours weren’t working which is a shame as the ones I’ve used have been great!
Very easy to use first go, then blotches of paint can come out of some. Had black one that had nib broke so as a main colour used for outlining a picture it was hard like using ink pot and pen to be honest had to try use splodge of paint before it dried. A few not good but majority were amazing.
Colours are fantastic and dry beautiful not loosing any of its vibrant colour. . Fast drying… would certainly recommend for the price apart from black broke and few splodge after first use.
I’ve just purchased these acrylic fine pens and the are fabulous Very rich in colour glide across paper and dry quite quickly so no smudging. Love them! Five stars are because I love everything about them and even better for me I not a big fan of messy art but nevertheless I love art! If your asking should I try them? Absolutely especially if you love working with inks, and fine nib pens, gels pens with great results and no mess. Try them. Thank you to YITHINC – a great product.
