I’m going to write this review as a comparison to the Weebill 3S, because the Weebill 3E is simply a version of that gimbal that Zhiyun has revised to reduce the cost by a significant margin (there was nearly a $100 price difference at the time that I wrote this). I ordered my unit (and several other gimbals that I have) from the seller SZ_ABTO security, and as per their usual form, they shipped the box with a plastic cover tightly taped over it to keep out moisture. I mention this specifically in this review because Amazon dumped it on my porch in the rain, and I am grateful for the extra care that the seller put into packaging their units. Anyway, on to the review:
As with the 3S, this offers a lot of features. I’ll first cover the ones that are identical to the 3S … for everything in this section, there is NO difference between this unit and the 3S:
– Big, beefy motors that will handle even a large DSLR with a large lens (this unit has the same motor capacity as the 3S)
– A large 2600mAh go-all-day battery (again, same capacity as the 3S)
– Great build quality (they seem to use the same molds and tooling to make this unit as the 3S)
– Great UI — the screen, shooting modes, controls, balancing mechanism, and camera mounting system are all the same as the 3S, including the clever quick-change between vertical and horizontal shooting
– Easy balancing — I had my camera on and balanced in 5-10 minutes after taking it out of the box, although I had prior experience with the 3S to help (which, unsurprisingly, balances in exactly the same way)
– Bluetooth support with the same remote control app
There are a few differences between this and the 3S, I will mention the ones I have found below:
– The focus motor control USB-C port is not present on the 3E, it does not support that function
– The Weebill 3E does not support Zhiyun’s image transmission system, the 3S does
– The Weebill 3E doesn’t have the built-in fill light and microphone that the 3S had
The short version is this: the 3E provides 95% of the features and functionality of the 3S, probably 100% of the features that the typical prosumer will use, and it does so at a much more attractive price. You can’t go wrong with this.

I’ve been using the WEEBILL 3E and it’s seriously awesome. It’s super compact, about the size of an A4 paper, which makes it really easy to carry around. The handle is designed perfectly, so even after hours of filming, it’s still comfortable to hold.
The best part about these gadgets is that the footage is buttery smooth!
Plus, the Bluetooth shutter control is a quality of life improvement—no more tangled wires. You can start/stop recordings or snap photos with just a button.
Switching to portrait mode is a breeze with the quick-switch design—no need to mess around with attachments. And the Sling Mode 2.0 is fun to use! The attachable wrist rest and adjustable handle cuts down on fatigue. The customizable handles are great for getting those tricky low angles.
Overall, the WEEBILL 3E is a fantastic gimbal that makes filming easy and fun. Highly recommend!
I installed this on my Nikon Z6. The Z6 has the bluetooth shutter control. The stabilizing control this incredible device affords is truly impressive. My shots have improved tremendously since I started using this. The handle also is very ergonomic and can be used effortlessly, even for lengthy periods. Battery life is excellent. This device is compact and lightweight. It easily fits in my camera bag. And for the functionality and features you get, I believe this gimbal stabilizer is a great value. If this is compatible with your camera, you really should try it. If you are serious about your finished product, this is a quick and simple way to upgrade it.
The gimbal is made amazingly well and works fine after following some YouTube tutorials.
But to be honest there is no way I could’ve figured it out myself without help. I mean the included instruction manuals are written in a way that’s difficult to follow.
I have recently used this Zyhun Cinepeer Weebil 3e in a professional food videography environment, and I can say that it is much easier to set up and use compared to my previous Webill S, which is an older version from around 5 years ago. Both gimbals are great, but the Cinepeer Webill 3e is a step above.
The built-in battery on the Cinepeer makes it more compact and convenient, as I no longer need to carry an extra charger. The axis lock switches on the Cinepeer Weebil 3e are also much sturdier and easier to operate when calibrating, in contrast with the small locks on the Webill S.
The grip on the Cinepeer Weebill3e is significantly better than the Webill S, and it sits more ergonomically in the hand. The positioning of the controls has also been improved. The design of the Cinepeer has been massively upgraded compared to the older model.
Another notable improvement is the use of USB-C instead of the older Micro USB on the Webill S. The addition of Bluetooth connectivity on the Cinepeer is also extremely useful, as it allows me to reduce the number of cables and start recording directly from the gimbal.
The biggest reason to upgrade to the Cinepeer Weebil 3e is its ability to shoot vertical videos without any accessories, which is paramount these days especially in video reel creation which I do in my professional work.
In terms of stabilisation algorithm, the Cinepeer Weebil 3e is buttery smooth and a few steps above the older version.
Overall, the new Cinepeer Weebil 3e is a huge improvement over the Webill S, and I highly recommend it.
Los gimbals son dispositivos que estabilizan las imgenes y que permiten unos movimientos muy suaves y controlados.
Lo primero que hay que hacer con un gimbal es configurarlo y estabilizarlo. De hecho, no es recomendable ni siquiera encenderlo sin haberlo estabilizado previamente con una videocmara encima.
El problema de este gimbal, de una marca de referencia en el sector como es ZHIYUN, es que carece totalmente de un manual de instrucciones ni de, al menos, una gua de inicio rpido. Es algo que me ha sorprendido bastante. No es un problema grave porque hay multitud de webs y de vdeos que te explican cmo estabilizarlo y como usarlo, pero es algo que debera tener en cuenta el fabricante.
Viene perfectamente protegido en un molde de poliestireno y se incluye un trpode plegable que se enrosca en la parte inferior del gimbal y que vale para dejarlo fijo sobre una superficie estable.
En cuanto se coge con las manos se da uno cuenta de su gran calidad de fabricacin, a la vez que sorprende su poco peso, que slo supera ligeramente 1 kg.
A pesar de su tamao ms bien compacto, es capaz de mover sin problemas una cmara con su objetivo, con un peso mximo de 3 kg.
Este gimbal dispone de Bluetooth por lo que si tu videocmara es de las modernas y dispone de esta tecnologa de comunicacin inalmbrica, podrs hacer fotos o iniciar y parar la grabacin de vdeos desde el propio gimbal.
Como dije al principio, al carecer de manual de instrucciones es posible que tengas dificultades para sacar todo el partido a este estupendo dispositivo de estabilizacin, as que te har un pequeo resumen de sus modos de funcionamiento. Estos modos se muestran en una pequea pantalla LCD integrada en el mango.
El modo PF (Pan Follow) permite que la cmara se desplace suavemente a la izquierda o a la derecha manteniendo el ngulo de inclinacin (tilt) y rollo (roll) bloqueados. Muy til para filmaciones en las que se desea mantener la cmara nivelada mientras se realiza un seguimiento horizontal.
En el modo L (Lock) todos los ejes (pan, tilt y roll) estn bloqueados, manteniendo la cmara fija. Perfecto para tomas estticas donde se requiere una imagen estable.
Modo PoV (Point of View). Todos los ejes del gimbal siguen el movimiento del operador, ideal para capturar imgenes que replican la visin de su punto de vista.
Modo V (Vortex), que permite rotar la cmara en un movimiento circular completo de 360 grados alrededor del eje de Pan, lo que permite crear un efecto de rotacin continua muy dinmico.
Modo F (Follow), en el que la cmara se mueve hacia arriba y hacia abajo, as como de lado a lado, siguiendo los movimientos del operador.
Modo Go, en el que la sensibilidad del gimbal aumenta, haciendo que los movimientos sean ms rpidos y precisos, ideal para capturar escenas de accin rpida como deportes o movimientos bruscos.
Modo P (Portrait), diseado para hacer fotos o grabar vdeos en orientacin vertical. Muy usado para redes sociales.
En resumen, es un gimbal de alta calidad con el que los vdeos realmente mejoran muchsimo porque dan una sensacin muy profesional, sin vibraciones ni movimientos bruscos. Me parece un fallo que no venga con algunas instrucciones o alguna gua de inicio rpido, algo que te obliga (a no ser que tengas ya experiencia previa con este tipo de dispositivos) a buscar informacin en internet para equilibrarlo y usarlo.
This is a really solid and heavy duty gimbal stabiliser from a reputable company in the film-making world.
I’m personally a beginner and hobbyist videographer with a Canon EOS100D and a DJI Mini 2 for aerial, and this is a really nice addition to my collection – I’m considering getting a better DSLR for video now I have the stabilisation kit. This handles DSLR cameras like a breeze and keeps things incredibly stable, it’s also satisfying to look at as it rolls around your camera whilst you are walking / running during shots.
It has a few different modes that I don’t fully understand yet, but the ability to pan and tilt the camera with the controller joystick is extremely useful, and simple to understand. The whole kit itself can get a bit heavy, but I have small hands so it is sort of to be expected for someone of my build.
Overall, this is an incredible piece of kit that will help you to take your videography a level up, and it’s also from a reputable company so you know you’re in good hands!
Having learnt photography in collage I have a number of different cameras and regularly go out taking pictures of wildlife and my family.
This is a new bit of equipment for me so it was all about learning how to use this correctly.
I found it easy to hold and the overall weight was manageable with the camera attached but this will be different for each person using it.
You can control your cameras shutter remotely via the Bluetooth connection option.
I am still learning how to use this to its max capability’s but so far I am overall impressed with the quality and design of the device itself.
Ho deciso di provare il seguente prodotto dato che il marchio in soggetto uno dei concorrenti dei migliori europei, quindi sono stato subito attratto da questo Gimball a 3 assi, attenzione, tendo a sottolineare che nel suo formato attuale e di vendita, risulta utile solo con fotocamere, infatti, sia il carrellino che il gancio sono predisposti con una vita su cui agganciare il carrellino che s aggancer alla fotocamera, segue questo un cavo di tipo c che connette il gimball alla fotocamera, che poi pu anche essere connesso senza cavo.
Materiali davvero top, un ottimo grip, una buona fattura, si sentono al tatto quanto essi siano buoni, magari un pelo pesantuccio, ma giustificato dalla fattura dei materiali e dai vari motori che potete sia settare che calibrare, varie modalit presenti, che per risultano poco intuitive, per presente un manuale online e dei video che spiegano come comportarsi, c’ da dire che una volta tirato fuori dalla scatola risulta estremamente poco intuitivo, ho faticato parecchio nella fase iniziale.
Presente oltre un piccolo treppiede da collegare direttamente al gimball, ottimo anche lui e ben saldo.
Funzionalmente parlando si muove tranquillamente lungo i suoi assi, con facilit e precisione millesimale, ottimi i tasti per ruotare o ribaltare tutta la fotocamera, sono rimasto sorpreso dal suo funzionamento.
Le modalit restano sempre poco intuitive, diciamo che va studiato un bel p.
Insomma un prodotto davvero completo, ma allo stesso tempo complesso, non per persone di poca esperienza.

I have used several ZHIYUN’S Gimbals over years, and this CINEPEER WEEBILL 3E mirrorless one stands out by its better controls and versatility. This gimbal came in professionally packaged however with only a quick start guide in it, no details user manual comes with it – You will have to scan the QR code in the quick start guide in order to download the manual, along with a decent installation video and updated firmware on ZHIYUN’s support website. Make sure to balance the gimbal with the camera by following the instructions in the Video and user manual before the first use. To try out how it performs, I brought it with my Canon 60D DSLR on a recent trip to walk trail in a provincial park over the weekend, and was able to capture incredibly smooth footage of our hikes, leveraging this gimbal’s advanced stabilization algorithms and strong motors – very impressed. The compact size and ergonomic handle made it comfortable to carry all day. One new feature I like the most is the Bluetooth shutter control, which allowed me to start recording without fumbling with wires. Switching to vertical shooting was seamless, ideal for social media content. However, the learning curve for the Sling Mode 2.0 was a bit steep, but once mastered, it significantly reduced arm fatigue. My only gripe is the weight when using it with heavier cameras, but its performance and versatility make it worth every ounce. Would definitely recommend it.
Going with this gimbal is a definitive step up form my previous one.
For now I am mostly testing with phone, but everything is valid for camera too.
There is quite some learning to get it started, but you’ll find easily some resources online, like official manuals or review/tutorials.
Good to note though this model does not come with the wrist plate.
Stabilization is really smooth, even when you are tracking something quite fast and or chaotic.
The quick release plate will be a big plus once I invest in a camera, as it will allow to remove/put back the device without worrying about rebalance.
Overall it is quite light and small for the power it packs and I cannot wait to push it more !

El nuevo Weebill 3S es una pequea joya de la tecnologa, combinando ligereza y prestaciones profesionales en un equipo realmente compacto muy al estilo Zhiyun. Pesa solo 1kg y su footprint cabe en un A4, algo de lo que Zhiyun siempre alardea con los Weebill.
El diseo de la Weebill 3S est muy bien pensado. Utiliza una configuracin de “crane” con brazo vertical y las bateras se almacenan en el mango, aadiendo un centro de gravedad mas controlado. Adems, el mango permite un cmodo disparo en modo eslinga y cuenta con un sistema de soporte para la mueca.
El Weebill 3S es ajustable y fcil de manejar, y por supuesto funciona de maravilla usando las dos manos. Puede ser utilizado con una gran variedad de combinaciones de cmaras y lentes, por ejemplo, lo hemos probado con una Sony A7 con una lente Viltrox de gran angular. Los resultados, excelentes.
El paquete base incluye un trpode de mesa, accesorios de soporte para lentes y una cantidad importante de cables para conectar directamente a diferentes modelos de cmaras. El paquete combo aade el sistema de eslinga y una mochila en lugar de una caja de espuma (ese no es el analizado, pero vale la pena mencionar que existe).
En cuanto al rendimiento, la Weebill 3S es una bestia. Los motores son potentes y responden excelentemente bien. Permite una amplia configuracin de parmetros, lo que da a los usuarios muchas opciones para personalizar el comportamiento del gimbal. La estabilizacin de imagen en el cuerpo de la Sony A7 funciona de maravilla.
La Weebill 3S tiene una pequea pantalla de una pulgada para entrar directamente en las configuraciones desde donde puedes tocar la velocidad de seguimiento, la zona muerta, la velocidad del joystick y muchas otras opciones. En hardware ya lleva siete modos de seguimiento: seguimiento de paneo, seguimiento de inclinacin, modo de bloqueo, modo POV, modo go, modo selfie y modo de reinicio.
Adems, el gimbal tiene una pequea luz integrada, ajustable en brillo y temperatura de color. No es muy potente, pero te puede salvar el alguna situacin concreta. Por lo general, nunca la usamos.
En conclusin, es un gimbal compacto con una relacin precio-tamao-rendimiento sobresaliente. Es ms pequeo, ms ligero y tiene un mejor rendimiento que la generacin anterior. Se nota que han ido aadiendo refinamientos a un producto que de por si ya era realmente bueno.
This is an incredibly solid gimbal . Not surprised as zheyun makes some ridiculously amazing gimbals . It’s extremely snug in the hands and weighs just right without being too light or heavy . All controls are easy to access and work flawlessly . Amazing stablization on thjs . Would have preferred all black like the weebill 3S as this will likely dirty over time , but wother way , extremely solid for the price
The Zhijun Cinepeer Weebill 3E is quite an achievement for a good value, small lightweight gimbal. Small; it sits inside a piece of A4 paper; and lightweight it weighs about 1kg. The Gimbal charges by USB-C; this includes high power charging modes that allow for complete charging in 2 hours. Run time is excellent; I have shot 3 hours of test video, timelapses and panoramas whilst powering my camera and the battery is showing 2 bars remaining.
The shipping pack includes all you need to get going a small extension handle / tripod stand; a good polystyrene style storage case, usb cables and mounting brackets and an Allen key.
I have been using the Weebill 3E with a Panasonic G9 ii and I found balancing the combination an easy task. It is is aided by 3 axis locks allowing you to focus on one axis at a time. The friction controls that lock the sliders in place allow for controlled movement and the two adjustable axes have scales on them which make rebalancing a given camera and lens an easy task; just write down the horizontal and vertical marks and you can quickly dial them back in.
You can mount the lens in portrait and landscape mode without needing an l-bracket. The Portrait mode is less rigid than landscape as the mount is only about 1cm thick but with the relatively lightweight G9 mark 2 (about 1Kg with lens) I used it worked fine. Despite the small size of the gimbal the large range of adjustments allowed me to use the gimbal including some of its movement modes like vortex mode, which rotates the camera along the axis of the gimbal.
Once balanced the motors by eye I powered the gimbal up and ran the gimbals auto balance; this dials in the motor strength for you. The lightweight combo of gimbal and camera make for comfortable use even without a second handle. The battery will last far longer than my arm muscles though; thankfully a resting grip/ tripod mount is included which makes setting it down easy — and allows for two handed uses.
I found the gimbal handheld comfortable to use and the footage is cinematic out of the box. There are 5 modes for normal gimbal movement that lock out various dials. You can switch these with the M button on the handle. You can program the trigger for various functions; with up to three presses. The default includes a 3-press switch to first person video mode that rotates the camera around for vlogging.
The Weebill 3E works with Zhiyun’s ZY Play app, which could do with a polishing. Like other Zhijun apps it doesn’t take any details whilst you use it according to the privacy statement (though it did insist I register to use the gimbal.) The app allows for some extra functions including wireless control of the gimbal, which could be useful if you have it on an arm or distant tripod, access to some stills modes like timelapse, panorama and Trajectory.) I found the Panorama mode unintuitive; it shoots from the endpoint to the start point; and always moves clockwise as I write this. Timelapse mode seemed to work well.
The Weebil 3e controls your camera through USB-C with a record button to start and end shooting (I found I had to push and hold for it to work) and theoretically Bluetooth. The cable mode worked fine with my G9ii. When connected by cable the gimbal supplied power to the camera as well as collecting system settings like aperture and displaying them on the screen. Hopefully a firmware update will fix it; along with some Weebil 3E specific details on Zhiyun’s website as at the time of reading there isn’t a 3E manual or videos to guide you along, though they have them for other gimbals.
The real win here is the value; it might not be as polished as other gimbals I have; but the footage it delivers is every bit as good. For shooting run and gun style video or vlogging its small and lightweight design makes it a good choice to drop in your bag. Balancing it is easy; and once done shooting is a question of unlocking the axis locks and powering it on; If you write those settings down you can be good to go in a few minutes.
I have to say that I am not technical in any way, but I do love to capture video footage of any place I go, and this ZHIYUN CINEPEER WEEBILL 3E Mirrorless Gimbal Lightweight Stabilizer has made my footage so much smoother, the gimbal is really easy to use, cnnecting my camera is easy and the one touch features mean I am not messing about with my camera functions, I have never used a unit like this before so I dont have anything to compare it to, but to be honest I dont think I need to as this does everything I need, and gives me really proffesional results, it is solidly made and for the price it is a really good entry model.
As someone who is not particularly fit holding this with one hand is quite heavy and a little painful for extended times. The actual product it self is great, the stabilization works as expected (just dont forget to charge it otherwise it will creak a bit as the battery slowly drains its last breath) The screen on the handle is fairly readable with no issues regarding to brightness.
There are 3 locks that you must disengage before the stabilization can kick in, the stabilizer comes as all of these locks in a LOCKED position, there is 1 lock near the grip on the right side, another on the main part that holds the camera, and another at the most end of it. Once all are unlocked the screen will no longer show the LOCKED word and a lock icon and will function as expected!
The packaging is superb, one of the better kind so to say, its almost like it has its own nice carrying case as the main cardboard box has a handle on it. The inner plastic like foam holder makes sure that the parts are not scratched one bit! its brilliant.
Overall this will definitely see lots of use once the weather lets up a bit, and the initial impressions with the stabilizer using a phone was great. The only nitpick is that its quite heavy.
