The stands are packaged in a padded bag marked Fragile. There are two grey and two transparent plastic stands that look like little brackets. They fit in the horizontal groove on the console and help to stand it horizontally rather than the usual vertical position. This provides stability for the console and has a cooling effect as well. A useful accessory for the PlayStation 5 Disc Edition Console.
The PS5 ‘Slim’ is now the default console from Sony, which has a subtly different case design from the original. If you intend to use the console in a horizontal configuration, a couple feet slot into a newly designed groove in the case. The feet secure the console in this position.
Although Sony do supply these with the console, they are clear plastic and notorious for being easily lost. These replacements are silver and black respectively. Whilst still plastic, they fit my console with no issues and certainly the darker colour is a welcome compliment to my black covers.
I’ve knocked off a star as the finish is a little rough, but unnoticeable when sitting under the PS5 Slim.
