These moth killer papers are more subtle than pheromone traps, so it’s hard to tell whether they’re doing their job. With the sticky traps we’ve been using, it’s very easy to see all the moths attracted and caught by the sheets; meanwhile, these papers are just sort of there. They do have a slight chemical odour, but I only noticed it while I was placing them around our wardrobe, they’re otherwise imperceptible. They’re a pretty shade of periwinkle, and they do look less sordid than those white sheets with dead moths stuck to them, which is a plus. Time will tell if these alone will keep the problem from coming back again.

I have placed these in drawers that contain woollen jumpers where I often have issues with clothes moths no matter what i try. Fingers crossed they work as I am fed up with finding extra holes in my clothes !!!

A very easy way to keep moths at bay. Just tear the sheet along the perforated lines and put the tiny squares in your drawers and wardrobe to stop the naughty little critter’s babies from eating your clothes – simple!

They don’t smell or stain your clothes so you can put them right among your stuff without fear of harm to the fabric.

These are moth killer papers which you place in your drawers and cupboards to stop the moths from laying eggs, and thus prevent the larva from eating your clothes. Apparently the grubs like to go for wool, silk and fur. Cotton is less susceptible, while synthetic fibres are mostly safe, as they are not digestible by the larva.
I have used moth balls many years back, but now I tend to use these moth papers.
These ones are impregnated with transfluthrin, which is a pyrethroid insecticide… This is pretty lethal to beetles and moths, but safe for humans, certainly at the lowish concentrations found in the papers.
The box does say you should keep it away from aquatic life, and wash your hands thoroughly after touching it.
The product comes as two long strips of paper, which you tear along the perforations and then place in the cupboards and drawers where they will release their insecticide vapour, which kills the moths. You can place them under clothes in the drawer, or hang them on a clothes hanger, which ever is your preference.
It’s too early in the season to say now whether the strips are working. I think all the moths are still in the larva form over winter, but they will certainly be pupating soon.
I will update the review if anything especially good or bad happens, but frankly I’m just expecting the papers to quietly get on with their job, and nothing out of the ordinary to happen.
