This magsafe charger is very good if you use it with a faster 12 V charger , like 54W Lisen that I use .
The anker provided 12 V charger is too slow , barely charges my phone .
Also , you need another air vent mount because the one provided by Anker isnot so good , the hook is too long and it makes the assembly not stable .
With a faster charger , it charges an Iphone 13 very fast .
The Anker has a nice latching mechanism that connects around a horizontal vent fin. I am cautious though to tighten it too much, for fear it may break the fin — but it doesn’t need to be. It holds very firm with minimal pressure, has not “backed out” (causing it to be loose) and the phone snaps right into place and charges away in my Dodge Challenger. So far there has been no problem at all and because there’s no usb connector on the business end, nothing to fall out. Nice work Anker.
Would be 5 stars if the cable were detachable. I’m not afraid of the cable failing but it would be nice to be able to use a shorter cable for a cleaner look.
I like the tightening mechanism on the vent mount seems less like to accidentally be bumped off. The pivot ball joint holds the angle /phone position well. MagSafe attaches well and charges even with the Apple MagSafe leather and silicone cases.
