This camera is cute enough to appeal to the younger photographers in your family. Instant printing takes the stress out of having to upload to somewhere or send off a film to be printed.

I’m pleasantly surprised by this camera. The feel of it, design and print quality are better than I anticipated. It really does make for a nice keepsake maker/scrap book addition.

    + Fun, quirky body design
+ Bright menus. Easy to navigate
    + Includes memory card
    + Includes a branded strap
+ Comes with two paper rolls and one sticker roll

    – Doesn’t appear to be a way to prevent it printing without the date included on the photo
    – Keys are stiff and awfully loud
    – Photos can’t be directly deleted on the camera
    – Struggles printing photos without significant detail or contras

My son loves taking pictures. Then he looks at them over and over. He has a digital camera already. I thought he would also like to receive this camera where he could give photographs to his friends or family members.

Obviously, it doesn’t print on proper photographic paper but for a six-year-old, it’s just fine.

Easy to use, it charges via USB and comes with three rolls of paper which are handy considering my son will be printing any sort of thing and the paper will soon run out.

The only thing is the resolution which, obviously, isn’t excellent (it’s always a children’s camera that prints on paper), and the problem is that the photo can fade over time.

The price is a bit high but I would spend the money for it. It made my son very happy and he took it with him on holiday too.

Kids Camera with thermal print, yellow
    ============================
A lovely little camera sold by many resellers, that would go down a treat with the kids. It’s a bit like the Polaroids of old, but the printer inside the camera is tiny and uses thermal paper to print in shades of black and white. The camera itself is very small too. Easy to use with large buttons and supplied some free gifts (5 small felt tip pens and some stickers). The set includes 3 thermal rolls, a lanyard, rubber bumper and a usb charging cable. Has a built in sd card port for transferring to laptop/pc. The camera is set midway for both picture taking resolution and print output – you can increase/decrease the res for the pics as well as printing darker or lighter. I found that to get the best print, you have to change the print density depending on whether the picture taken is light or dark, so it may take some time to get used to the prints. Great thing is you can print saved pictures as many times as you want so you can experiment with the different settings for the same picture to work out what gets the best print for a particular shot.
To print, you first have to take the picture and then go into the menu to view and then print the ones you want. As a thermal printer, it prints very fast. Obviously the downsides to thermal printers are the prints will fade away over time. The rolls themselves are very easy to load – just pull up the front and plonk the roll in, initially leaving a little trailing out. Be sure to have the printed glossy side up. The paper roll might pop out if the kids yank the paper instead of tearing it off, but it is easily loaded back in. Also when purchasing additional rolls, be aware some sellers sell very cheap ‘thermal’ printer paper rolls which are in fact just normal paper. You can use normal paper, but the prints will come out very faint and not as sharp as on thermal paper. Currently selling for 49.99

    AURTEC Instant Camera for Kids

To be honest, as this is a play camera that’s designed for children, I wasn’t really expecting much here. I did some months ago order a child’s camera for our little girl which at first she was excited about, but she was only able to view her photos on her camera or a computer as they weren’t really good enough to keep printing out. This little camera has it all, the ability to take photographs as well as view and print them out too.

There is absolutely everything in this camera kit to get the child up and running, taking photos and printing them out. The camera, display screen and printer are all built into a single unit which is quite compact in size. This is made from yellow plastic but does seem well made and quite sturdy. There is a lot included in this set of which I have listed below. It was good to see a memory card was included, also a USB memory card reader so that photos can be transferred to a computer for better viewing and printing options.

The camera has 2 lenses one for selfies, the other for normal photography. This is claimed to be a 48MP Dual Camera, with 1080P HD Video which for a kids camera seems pretty good. In reality the photo quality isn’t going to win any photography prizes, but is perfectly acceptable for a child who will likely look on this as a toy rather than a serious piece of kit.

This has a handy thermal printer built in, 2 x rolls of thermal paper is included too. As such this will only print black and white photos, although the display is colour. The print quality is not great, but I’m sure kids will be proud of their photos. For better printing results, it would be best to transfer photos to a computer and print them out from there.

Overall this is a good bit of kit for a youngster to get them started in the world of photography. This is only a toy camera so don’t expect too much of it. After all, for the asking price you do get a memory card along with a basic thermal printer, plus lots of other stuff too.

This is a really fun camera for kids to use and being able to print their photos out instantly seems magical to younger children.
It’s not as chunky as I expected considering it contains a thermal printer and perfectly ok for kids to hold on to.
The printed photos aren’t the best quality, they’re black and white but you get some felt tip pens in the box, so it’s possible to add some colour by hand.
You get a few little extras included, such as a lanyard, so you can hang the camera around your neck. Be careful if using this with young children, as there’s no safety release catch, making it a choking hazard.
You also get 2 rolls of printer paper and a roll of stickers, so kids can decorate their books with the photos they print out.
Getting replacement rolls is easy, the seller has a pack of 10 for around 11, so you don’t need to worry about it costing loads of money.
It’s really simple to install the paper and the camera is easy for kids to use, settings aren’t overly complicated and it’s rechargeable, so not batteries to mess about with.
A great present for kids who want their own camera.

This is a great child’s thermal camera at an affordable price.
This means you won’t have to mess about with ink cartridges and it’s easy and straightforward to use and maintain.

The battery is great and will give you a good 6 hours working time.

The adorable dinosaur design feels a little on the fragile side, I wouldn’t like to drop test it.

The great thing about this type of camera is that kids get an instant reaction, and they don’t have to wait for images to be printed or developed.

The camera has decent specs which include 48MP dual camera and 1080P HD video recording.
It comes with a 32G TF card, as well as two thermal paper rolls, stickers and colourful pens so it can be used straight away.

It also has a nice neck strap which should be used to keep it from being damaged.

It’s a lovely way for children to capture or record a moment and then get creative.

In my opinion this camera is well made and designed and is good value for money.

Fab little camera that comes with a lot more than just a camera printer. The unit itself also has some fun games to play like tetris. You can listen to music if you’ve loaded any into the included memory card. You can take videos which are saved to the unit as well as photos. When it comes to photos you have loads of fun frames to choose from to take cute photos. These can be printed immediately when taking the photo or manually printed through the photo gallery area.

I found that the prints looked better the more I made. The first print had a lot of areas missing colour and it looked “scratched”. The second print was significantly better, much smoother, less of a scratched effect though the contrast was deeper. Third print appeared even better than the last so I assume the other roll perhaps was a bit rough from the packaging process or the camera needed a few runs to get started. In terms of contrast, all photos will show black and white but I haven’t found a way to adjust the contrast so I’m unsure if this is possible yet.

It doesn’t use any ink and you just need more thermal paper to insert. I will add that the paper roll needs to be inserted with the paper coming from the back of the roll and poking out of the “mouth” of the dinosaur camera. I was initially confused when set to the camera up because I assumed the roll needed to be attached to something or fed into the camera like printer paper but this works in a much simpler way. Overall this is a really fun camera printer. It’s cute and fun for all ages (meant for kids but I think older children and grown ups would appreciate this too!). I feel it’s a touch pricy for what it is and the level of clarity you get with the printer and the screen. That being said I would still recommend it because it’s great fun and could be great for making memories at parties too!
