Whilst doing a clear out we stumbled across an old portable DVD player and wondered if it still worked. Of course there was no plug to be found for it and the battery had long since lost it’s charge (at best guess we got in the early 2000s so I would assume it can no longer be charged). My husband then said “you used to be able to get a multi-plug that you could put different pin connectors on and select different voltages”; cue this little piece of kit.
The underside of the plug has a red dial with the voltages displayed around the outer edge on the black plastic. The dial needs to be turned to select the voltage you want and it handily has a small arrowhead at the top of the slot for turning it to show you which voltage is currently selected. It comes with a small tool for turning the dial and it is quite stiff to turn which is useful as it means it isn’t going to slip to a different setting.
Comes with a good range of differently sized connectors – even includes a USB-C and a Micro USB. The connectors push on to the permanently attached round “pin” connector. They aren’t colour coded so it is literally trial and error to find the one you need.
How did we get on with the DVD player? Set the the plug to 9V, found the right pin connector and attached it to the cable. Plugged the unit in, connected the DVD player and held our breath. Yep, it turned on and when we put a DVD in that did play.
For my short term use this was well worth it.
The plug didn’t get hot even though we watched a film that ran just over 2 hours which bodes well and there was no sign that an inappropriate voltage was being supplied to the unit (I don’t have a meter to be able to test the actual output).
Covers a multitude of voltage outputs and contains all manner of plugs you will need. I’m using it to power a large speaker for which I lost the adapter. It’s running happily at 15v tho is not changing the battery – this might be the speaker rather than the adapter itself. Seems to be good value. Doesn’t run hot. Good quality overall.

Ce chargeur est vraiment trs pratique avec tout ses embouts et ses tensions diffrentes. Le slecteur pour modifier la tension est assez dur tourner, pensez prendre un tournevis adapt au risque de l’abimer.
Ich hab zwar ein Multi-Volt-Netzteil, das jedoch ist stufenlos und nicht sonderlich gut fr Reisen oder permanente Einstze geeignet. Mein alter Hama Reise-Adapter ist mit 2 Ampere maximal, den begrenzenten Steckern und Sonderanschluss auch nicht mehr auf dem Stand der Zeit. Daher die Entscheidung mal so ein preiswertes hier zu testen und danach zu entscheiden, ob sich die Anschaffung lohnen wrde.
In dem Fall tut sie das meiner Meinung nach. Nebst wichtigen Steckern aller Art + Micro USB und USB-C + Klemme hat man auf jeden Fall fr jede wichtige Anschlussart alles dabei was man braucht.
Die Leistung kann sich ebenfalls sehen lassen, mit maximal 48 Watt, welche man bei solchen Gerten aber nicht ausreizen sollte, hat das auch ordentlich Power im Gehuse und kann so ziemlich alle Standardgerte wie LEDs und Co. locker betreiben.
Wie gesagt, die 48 Watt erreicht man zwar, aber dann wird das Netzteil enorm warm und man verliert dadurch auch Lebenszeit des Netzteils. Das beansprucht Kondensatoren bis an die Grenze oder bis die Dinger Platzen. Die Spannung im Leerlauf war mit ca. +0,3 ber entsprechender Einstellung gut. Bei angeschlossenen Gerten wurde die Spannung gut gehalten und sackte eigentlich nie unter Nennspannung ab.
Interessant ist auch, auf den unteren Spannungseinstellungen behlt das Netzteil seine Ladung enorm Lange (15 Sekunden und mehr). Kann daran aber nichts Negatives finden.
Sonst alles Normal und wie es sein soll. Das Teil ersetzt somit erfolgreich mein altes Universal Netzteil und stellt eine schne Ergnzung zum Stufenlosen Gert da. Da keinen nennenswerten Mngel oder Abweichungen, bekommt das Netzteil von mir die vollen 5 Punkte und mit max. 48 W auch eine Empfehlung! Preis-Leistung passt aus meiner Sicht auch.
