This pool cue has been a reliable choice for my games. The 3/4 cut design makes it easy to handle, and the included hard case is a nice touch for protection. The build quality is solid, and the cue performs well in both casual and competitive play. However, the cue’s weight may not suit everyone’s preference, and it might take some time to adjust to. It’s a dependable option for pool enthusiasts, though individual preferences for weight and feel might vary.
I’ve been using this cue for a few weeks now, and it’s been solid. The shaft feels smooth and consistent, and the extension is really handy for those tricky shots. The tip is firmly fixed to the cue and has a distinct appearance. The durable case, which has a cushioned interior, a smooth, strong construction, and excellent cue protection, is also of the highest calibre. Excellent cue and case bundle that seems excellent, is expertly crafted, and comes highly recommended.
The cue feels perfectly balanced and has improved my game remarkably. The craftsmanship is amazing, with a smooth finish and a comfortable grip. It feels nice and sturdy in my hand, giving me good control over my shots. The 3/4 cut design makes it easy to transport, and it fits securely in the included hard case. The case is sturdy and protects the cue well.
Such a lovely cue, very good quality. Straight , good weight and balance to it, super smooth finish and the tip gives plenty of grip, glides through hand nicely like butter.
The little extension doesn’t seem that big but makes a massive difference to some shots where you would be stretching.
Great case as well with room for a bigger extension if required. Not too heavy or light. The only issue i have is during hot weather it is harder to use and needs a constant wipe down.
I’ve also had to get the tip changed as the stock tip was not too great and rough. Overall a solid 4 out of 5. Can recommend.
The BCE protg 3/4 cut Christophe Lambert cue and hard case is a very good quality cue set, the cue is well made and glides effortlessly along your skin whilst taking shots, it feels silky smooth and the grain and detailing look nice, the colour scheme represents the French flag and the country of Christophe’s birth.
The case is well made and includes three hinged clasps to hold it shut, inside there are padded grooves for the cue sections to locate into, I feel like the butt section could have been smaller to hold it better as it does slide along when the case is closed.
This is a three piece cue where a 6″ extension piece is included for those out of reach shots, I only fit this when I need to, this section located and screws in and out quickly for quick shots, it is light and made of plastic.
I like the butt detail, but I have noticed the images are incorrect on the Amazon page, they do not represent the colour and style of cue I received, also the detail is a single prong not four as per the description.
Overall, a top quality Christophe Lambert Edition cue, feels great to use, well balanced and straight, strikes the balls well, tips can be removed and replaced using glue, weight is 18.8oz, nice quality case with BCE branding, more of a snooker cue than a pool cue depending on ball size, happy to recommend, thank you.
Let’s start with the essential:
This is not a pool cue, it is a snooker cue, much longer and with a small tip.
Said this, if you play snooker and american pool, you surely prefer the snooker cue with smaller tip for those trickshots that make the balls spin on weird angles.
It is made of a nice hardwood and it is well balanced.
The extension bit is a nice addition too for the long shots.
The best feature is the case which is very well padded and your cue will never suffer damage in it.
Overall a great product at a good price.
The cue looks and feels very solid.
Well painted, no dents, no paint coloring your hand even if your hand a bit sweaty, good grip.
Balanced!
Tip glued well, for all this period didn’t even have to replace yet.
Used for couple of months, didn’t have any issues at all so far.
This is a premium quality cue from BCE’s Protg line. The cue itself is Christophe Lambert sponsored ) branded, however the sponsorship is quite subtle, largely just being the logo on the butt.
The butt itself had an extension piece in a matching black. This means that the cue can be joined to the shaft within the black wrap area. There’s no worries about having to match the grain when it’s done like this, with the wrap extending onto the shaft.
This benefits from the better screw thread that is used on premium cues, ensuring a better fit and secure join.
The tip is fixed on, however *be found that these are hard wearing and don’t regularly need to be replaced.
Th cue is perfectly straight and benefits from being made from American ash, which gives it a fantastic look along the shaft. It also means that all cues are unique in this area.
The cue is complemented by a hard case, which is soft lined to stop it moving around, with a divider to protect all sections. There’s also a space for chalk. The case has a BCE Union Jack logo, which finishes it off nicely, along with a carry handle in the centre of the case.
This is, as expected from BCE, a nicely balanced cue that’s great to hold and will add an element of finesse to anyone’s game, whether you’re experienced or just starting out playing snooker of pool.
Definitely a quality cue that I can recommend, being a huge fan of BCE cues. I love the red, blue and cream Birdseye design on the butt.
I have been what I would call a casual snooker player for the past 30 years, with my local social club having had a full size table over this time, and through the years I have owned and tried lots of different cues. I was therefore very pleased to be able to trial this Christophe Lambert cue and hard case from BCE Protg.and honestly, I have to say I have found it to be fantastic.
Please see video and photos included with this review.
The cue is beautifully crafted, from the feel of the North American Ash to its weight and balance, how it glides through leading hand and how true and straight it is. Also the tip out of the box has good shape and will not require work other than chalking it. The addition of the 15cm extension is a nice bonus meaning you can still use your own cue for those hard to reach shots in hand or with the rest.
With many cues I have owned over the years that have come with a case the case has been of pretty low quality, be that for soft or hard cases. I am pleased to say that with this cue that is definitely note the ‘case’, for the hard case with this cue is really good quality. It feels strongly made, has good quality hinges, nice felt lining with good quality stitching, durable faux leather material on the outside with strong plastic bumpers at the end for added protection.
I happily recommend this cue and case for the reasons above.
This is a superb cue and case, that is very well made and has a lovely weight to it. The American Ash wood is very smooth, it has a subtle, yet classy design and you also get a 15cm extension piece, that simply screws into the base. The cue itself comes in 2 pieces, again needs to be screwed together. The 2 parts of the screw are solid brass and robust.
The tip is well defined and solidly attached to the cue. The hard case is equally high quality and well made, being smooth, sturdy, padded interior and protects the cue very well.
A great cue and case package, looks the part, very well made and absolutely recommended.
