I gotta say this is a great car charger. Not only is it super fast at charging devices like phones, but the retractable cable means it always stays tidy. My previous set up had cables hanging all over the place when not in use so the fact this sucks the cable straight back in after you’ve used it means no dangly cables in the car!
The cable is a massive 45 watt one too which means it’s super powerful so super fast charging!
You can charge another two items at the same time too using the other connections that are built in, and there’s a handy display to tell you the charging rate etc which is ok I guess
All the usual safety protections are built in meaning it’s safe to use too
Overall a good solid product that does exactly what you expect it to do but much faster and a lot tidier!
Charger works great, however you have to pull the charger cable all the way out to retract back, but pull the charger cord even just a little bit more and the whole thing comes flying out the car port.
This charger is excellent – I have it in my old Series Land-Rover and the retractable cable is really useful as it stops it from getting tangled in the levers and switches. The voltage meter is also a very handy thing to have, I can see it drop to 11v when I use the glow plugs and is at a steady 14v when the engine is running, so I can see that the alternator and charging system is working properly as well. The charging power is also great, “super-fast” charging works on my Samsung S21 perfectly.
This really is a value for money piece of kit and has transformed how things are charged when I am on the move in the car. Previously I had a spaghetti junction of wires and adapters going all over the front of the car, but now I have this one device and I use it for everything, and often everything all at one go (within reason).
The fact that I can charge my phone, my laptop, my bluetooth speakers, my ebook reader, my Kindle, and Oura ring, and could even charge an iPhone if I had one, it just brilliant. And I love how the USB-A wire (and the one for the iphone) just pull out, as it means when not in use they just vanish back into the unit itself.
But then in addition to that I can use my existing leads to plug in via USB-A or USB-C.
A really functional piece of kit that looks good too.
I got this retractable car charger after seeing it all over TikTok, and I’m happy to say that it lives up to the hype.
**Pros:**
1. **Inbuilt USB Charging Wire with Lightning Attachment:** This charger comes with a built-in USB charging wire and a lightning attachment, which makes it convenient for both Android and iPhone users.
2. **Additional Sockets:** It also has additional sockets for plugging in a USB-C or USB-A wire, adding to its versatility. This feature is great for charging multiple devices simultaneously.
3. **Good Wire Length:** The retractable wire has a good length, making it easy to use without feeling restricted by a short cable.
**Cons:**
1. **Lightning Attachment:** While the lightning attachment is useful, I would have preferred an actual lightning port wire instead of just an attachment. This would make the charging process more seamless for iPhone users.
Overall, this retractable car charger is a handy and versatile accessory for anyone on the go. Despite the minor inconvenience of the lightning attachment, it’s a solid product that meets various charging needs. Highly recommend!
Fast charging, compact size and multiple outputs are three things you can’t get in a charger that plugs in to the cigarette lighter socket. Sure enough this charge is quite large, but it does offer three outputs that can provide up to 105W total even when all three are used.
The built-in retractable cable extends to over 80cm in length, and as a USB-C connection on the end. This is the high power output offering up to 45W charging power, which is actually enough for some laptops and also my EOS camera. The other two output connections are USB-A and USB-C sockets for you to plug your existing cables in. These two are limited to 30W charging each at the same time. People with older iPhones and iPads will be pleased to see the USB-C to Lightning adapter that can fit on the retractable USB-C cable or what other cable you connect. This limits the charging power to 27W max, but that’s still more than enough for most older iPhones and iPads. I like that this adapter is held in place magnetically, even though it does move around quite readily.
If you are charging at high power, make sure your car can handle the power drain, and don’t leave the retractable cable mostly retracted inside the charger as it will get hot.
The body of the charger is large, but can be repositioned around the cigarette lighter plug so it should fit in a lot of different vehicles.
Whether this works for you will depend on the exact layout of your car and where the 12v port is. For me, it works fine as there is room for the charger. But this charger is a lot bigger than it looks. The retractable bit hulks around, and isn’t very aesthetic. That said, it is a LOT more aesthetic and practical than just a big cable lolling around, which is what I had before. It’s a definite upgrade. The fact that the retractable cable can also power up to 45W means that it can power a lot of laptops too – this is a big upgrade on what I had before. I would be very nervous loading it up to its full 105W, though – especially with the cable coiled. Warmth disapation is tricky.
