The Blurams Indoor Security Camera was great, and I used it while I was traveling. The 5GHz and 2.4GHz dual-band Wi-Fi support makes sure I have a stable link, which makes it easy for me to keep an eye on my house from afar. Easy to set up, and I loved that I could install it in a number of different ways—it worked great on a flat area in my room.
As soon as there is movement, the motion detection tool sends me an instant message with a recorded clip. As long as it’s dark, I can see clearly at night, which makes me feel safe. The two-way talk feature was a nice touch that let me talk to my family while I was away. In general, it’s a very reliable camera with a lot of different storage choices that’s great for home security or traveling!
The Blurams Indoor Camera offers a robust solution for home security with a range of impressive features. This 2K WiFi camera supports both 5GHz and 2.4GHz dual-band networks, ensuring reliable connectivity and smooth video streaming. Its compact design allows for versatile placement on any flat surface, making installation straightforward.
One standout feature is the camera’s motion detection and instant alert system. The camera efficiently records short clips whenever motion is detected and promptly sends notifications to your phone, keeping you informed of any activity in your home. The IR night vision further enhances security by providing clear footage even in low-light conditions.
The two-way talk functionality is another valuable addition, allowing real-time communication through the camera. This feature is particularly useful for interacting with pets, checking in on children, or even communicating with visitors.
For storage, the camera offers both cloud and SD card options, giving you flexibility in managing your recorded footage. The video quality is high, delivering clear and detailed images that make it easy to monitor your space.
Overall, the Blurams Indoor Camera is a reliable and feature-rich option for anyone looking to enhance their home security. Its ease of use, high-quality performance, and thoughtful design make it a worthy investment. I highly recommend this product.
This Blurams indoor camera is an incredibly cost-effective way to monitor your home. I recommend it for indoor camera beginners who don’t need a “state of the art” CCTV system but would rather a basic and simple way to monitor the house remotely.
What I like about this set is that I didn’t need to buy extra accessories to get it up and running fast; a mount is included, and the neck is extremely flexible, so I can set it to record any direction I want. I can secure the camera on a windowsill, but it also works well fixed on a wall and facing out the window. No adhesive pads are included, so renters will need to buy their own.
Initially, setting up the camera and connecting to the app was a breeze and should be easy for those who have a basic understanding of technology. You need to be comfortable with scanning QR codes and downloading apps, but other than that, the setup is very straightforward. Once it was unpacked, it took about 10 minutes for me to fully set it up. To use the camera, you need the app for it to always work (so a smartphone is a must), and you’ll need a plug socket in close range too, as it needs to be constantly plugged into power.
The app is highly effective in making this camera versatile; you can toggle settings that are very specific, like switching off the LED indicator at night. You can also switch from monitoring live to recording to an SD card. Advanced features are available to buy in the app.
In my opinion, the picture quality is brilliant for the price and is miles better than my expectations. It picks up good detail indoors, and I can clearly identify facial features on playback. The audio quality is about as expected for the price. A final positive point is that the camera is small and compact, so it’s not imposing and aggressive-looking amongst my furniture.
Issues/negatives:
Most importantly, it was easy to initially set up the camera, but every time I turned the power off (as I was looking for the best location to mount the camera), it needed reconnecting from scratch all over again. Subsequent times I attempted to connect, there were issues and errors, and it took about 4 tries to get the camera connected to my WiFi.
Secondly, since registering the camera, I have received unwanted emails of spam from the company to my main inbox, advertising their other products.
Finally, when I entered my WiFi password, it did not blank it out, which is a basic security feature. Also, the plug has a “CE” mark printed on the plug, which is unnecessary for UK plugs, so it raises questions as to how compliant the electrical safety is.
My final rating is based heavily on how cost-effective the camera is. The product has some issues, but for the current price and the number of features available, this is a brilliant and simple beginner device.
The security camera delivers clear video, which is a significant step up from the 1080p resolution found in many other cameras in this price range. The set up was straightforward because the dual-band capability ensures a more stable connection, especially in environments with multiple devices or network congestion. Also, the app guides you through the setup process. The two way talk function works well, with decent sound quality on both ends. However, the audio could be a bit clearer, but it’s still functional and reliable for its intended use. Overall, the camera is a nice choice for home security because it offers a range of features that cater to various needs, from pet monitoring to baby surveillance. While the occasional false alert and subscription requirement for cloud storage are minor drawbacks, they don’t significantly detract from the camera’s overall value. For anyone in the market for an affordable and reliable indoor camera, this is a good start of investment, which deserves a 4 stars rating.
This is being used for my new puppy. It was super quick and easy to set up. It’s neat and compact.
It’s really intuitive to use, you can view and talk to the location in real time.
Alerts come straight through to the app on your phone. Very happy
The camera is very plasticky of the sort which is likely to break if dropped. Initially I thought I was missing the stand, but it very easily pulls out from the base of the camera, I like this as you are not going to lose it and the different angles obtainable (swivels and pivots) from a small stand are impressive. The camera can be wall mounted and to aid this there is a sticker you can stick on the wall to identify exactly where you need to drill the holes (fixings supplied).
The only way to test the camera is to install and activate the blurams app, which I hate as I have had similar cameras and having set those up in the past to test now get a string of junk emails. Fortunately its fairly easy nowadays to set up a temporary email.
The camera needs to be powered at all times as there is no battery backup (power transformer and lead are supplied).
Image quality is surprisingly sharp (2K) and switches automatically to night view when lights get turned off, which provides black and white footage. Movement detection starts recording (saved on SD card although cloud storage available). Two-way sound communication is also available through the unit’s rear speaker and mic. Paid for services are also available, but not necessary. The camera does get warm with use, but not concerningly so.
Overall for a compact 2″ square camera I am fairly impressed, image quality is good and at 16.99 at time of review it seems good value.
I got this camera as a gift for our friends. They recently had a baby, Therefore I thought that this camera will serve them good as baby monitor.
Camera installation and setup is quite easy. The package arrives with two wall plugs and screws to help with installation. I really liked the design of the swivel holder head. There is no need to run the ethernet cables, because camera works over Wi-Fi, all you need to make sure is that camera is powered up.
Set up is done through the blurams application and is very easy and straightforward.
I was quite happy with the quality of the image. Camera also features motion detection capture, and recorded videos could be stored on cloud or SD card.
What I specifically liked about this camera is that, it has two-way communication, which means that my friends will be able to hear the baby, and also will be able to talk to him.
This is a very good camera with nice specs and for a very good price.
This is a decent little camera for monitoring pets or just keeping a eye inside your home, The camera uses the Bluerams app which is a new one to me and it seems to work ok although not the fastest of apps. Video can be stored on the cloud if you purchase a subscription or it can be stored on a Micro SD card ( not included) It is only a 2k camera which is reflected in the price but it is good enough. I had no problems setting this camera up but it seems some people have.
This is a relatively simple to use and setup indoor camera which can be used for just general security, watching the dog or perhaps used in a baby’s room – depending on your use purpose.
Within the box you’ll get everything you need to get going including the camera which comes on a handy mount which means you’ll be able to get it in the perfect and best position use for you.
There is an included USB cable which gives you plenty of length so that you can again get the best possible position for it.
Setup is simple and I found no issues getting it going – within a few minutes the camera was registered within the app and it was viewable with no problems.
The quality of the camera is decent – not the best and not the worst – perfectly serviceable for any of the uses mentioned above.
If you’re looking for a simple indoor camera to watch the dog this is perfect for it. It’s reasonably well priced – simple to use and setup and can be easily placed in any location.
I installed the blurams indoor security camera and it has been an excellent addition to my home. The dual-band connectivity ensures a stable and seamless live feed, giving me peace of mind.
The installation was a breeze. I love the versatility – I placed one camera on a flat surface and wall-mounted another. The bracket and body integration is a thoughtful design.
Motion detection works perfectly. I get instant alerts whenever there is movement. The IR night vision is impressive, providing clear 2K resolution images even in the dark. The two-way talk feature is handy for interacting with my family and visitors.
I also appreciate the double storage options, with support for both micro SD cards and cloud storage. The camera records events up to 12 seconds without any card or subscription, which is a great feature.
Overall, the blurams indoor security camera is a fantastic product that offers reliable security and ease of use. Highly recommended!
Keeping an eye on your home has never been easier, thanks to the Blurams Indoor Camera. Here’s why it stands out as an excellent security solution:
Description:
The Blurams Indoor Camera offers a robust security solution with dual-band WiFi support (5GHz and 2.4GHz) and 2K resolution. This indoor camera is designed to provide clear and detailed footage, ensuring you can monitor your home effectively. With features like motion detection, two-way audio, and night vision, it offers comprehensive security for your household.
Setting up the camera was straightforward, with the Blurams app guiding me through the process. The dual-band WiFi support ensures a stable connection, and the 2K resolution delivers crisp and clear video. The camera’s design is sleek and modern, fitting seamlessly into any home decor.
Pros:
High resolution: 2K video quality provides clear and detailed footage.
Dual-band WiFi: Supports both 5GHz and 2.4GHz for a stable connection.
Motion detection: Alerts you to any movement, enhancing security.
Two-way audio: Allows communication through the camera, ideal for checking in on family or pets.
Night vision: Clear visibility in low-light conditions ensures round-the-clock monitoring.
User-friendly app: Easy to set up and use with the Blurams app.
Cons:
Cloud storage: Requires a subscription for extended cloud storage options.
Power source: Needs to be plugged in, so placement is limited by proximity to power outlets.
The Blurams Indoor Camera has significantly enhanced my home security setup. Its high-resolution video, dual-band WiFi, and comprehensive features make it a reliable and effective choice for monitoring your home. Whether you need to keep an eye on your pets, check in on family members, or secure your property, this camera is a fantastic investment. Highly recommended for anyone looking to boost their home security!
This was quite easy to get working. Plug in the camera, install the Bluerams app on Android (or iOS) and that’s about it. As always, they do try and push a subscription (not required) with the cloud service. There’s also an SD card slot (SD card not provided) for local storage, which I’d rather opt. Overall a great budget camera, quality is OK (and it has IR night sensors as well when light visibility is low).
I was a little torn on this blurams security camera – it’s functionality is pretty much 100% based on using a cloud provider and sending your video feed to an ‘overseas’ company. But…the service itself is very good.
As usual – all set up is done through the app. There are two ways to connect to the camera for set up – either through Bluetooth or Wi-fi. Using my iPhone 14 I just could not connect via BT at all. The app asks you to scan the microscopic QR code on the camera (to get a device ID) but it still didn’t work. The second option was Wi-fi. For this to work you have to type your Wi-fi password in plain text into this app…yeah – not great – but I can see why they do this. This produces a QR code in the app which you then show to the camera and off it goes. Installation was easy after that.
The app is full of badly translated phrases but it is at least quite functional. It *really* does want you to subscribe to a cloud-based subscription service for storing videos though.
The cloud service is very quick though. There are a variety of detection modes – some are paid addons but the main ones are free. Within a couple of seconds of someone stepping into the frame of the camera or a noise being detected you get a push notification – at which point you can jump into the app and see what is going on. There’s even the ability to speak through the camera (audio is pretty terrible and quite low volume though).
Night vision is excellent producing a high detail black and white image.
I did link this to Alexa (requires the blurams skill to be downloaded) but functionality is limited to switch the camera on or off – not particularly useful.
The camera itself is an unassuming little plastic box with a fold out stand. There are feet on it so it can just be stood somewhere but there are mounting holes on the back too and the package includes screws and rawlplugs. The video feed can be rotated through 180degs so the camera can be ceiling mounted too.
While I’m not keen having to enter a plain text Wi-fi password, sign up to create an account or have my video streamed overseas(!) – I have to admit that the functionality of this camera is excellent. If that’s not a red flag to you then 24.99 is a good price for the service available here.
This camera is in my living room currently and is there not only to add an additional layer of security to my home but also to record the latest doggy drama!
I have two large breed dogs who I need to leave for an hour or so each day while I look after my Mum.
I can tell them off remotely if they get a bit boisterous or are showing off to the postman!
I even know about the treats that our lovely courier posts them through the letterbox!
The video and picture quality is decent as is the night vision, and the app is simple to navigate and set up.
Notifications when motion or sound are captured feels pretty instant and dual band ensures stable connectivity.
It’s simple to install with various options to suit most needs, and in my opinion it’s a very affordable good little camera which brings peace of mind.
I hope you find my review helpful.
This is a brilliant value-for-money, indoor security camera.
Easy to set up with clear video quality.
I positioned it in my garage to keep a peace of mind check 24/7.
I found it a little challenging to set up for the widest angle possible but got a reasonable compromise to give good coverage.
Audio is a bit average but it’s fine for a product for this price point.
You have a micro SD card slot for recording images locally.
and the blurams app is easy to setup and use.
Very pleased with this little camera.
