Only problem that I’ve found with the towel is that it’s not super absorbent – which is expected from a micro-fibre towel. You need to go over the same area a few times before it’s dry. Yes It can hold lots of water but doesn’t pick up (Absorb) on first pass.

I find the biggest advantage of that no pile surface is in drying off the dog after a day at the beach. It wicks the water off the coat well and does it without becoming loaded with sand. Ordinary towels end up so full of sand that they immediately need to be put in the wash to remove it all.
I’ve also tried it out for drying the car after a wash, much as you would use a chamois. It works but not a well as a synthetic or real chamois cloth. I’ll stick with them, but for quick use travelling this is a good and novel concept.

For whatever reason I always think they are slightly softer than they actually are.

What they do well – is water absorption and fast drying.
The two towels are light and easily folded to a smaller size so you can squeeze them in your gym bag or any other bag.
The original mesh bag comes with a carabiner. Towels have loops as well.

In terms of use – because they feel quite rigid, I tend to simply leave the big one on and let the water soak in on its own.
I found them useful on beach as well. They don’t have pile so it is very easy to get rid of sand or other debris.

Good for what it’s meant to do – good water absorption and fast drying if you are on the go.

I got the XL:182cmx81cm+40cmx40cm-in navy blue.

My first reaction to this was ‘where is the towel?’. This is because this towel arrives in a small roll in its own little transport case. Altogether this weighs 372g and about 27cm long and between about 10 and 12cm in diameter when packed. The case comes with a clip so that you could attach it to a ruck sack, etc.

My second reaction to this was that I prefer using my normal towel so I would not buy this to replace my normal towels although it is worth thinking about that as I will explain further.

By way of testing, after showering at home I randomly tried drying myself with the hand towel. Oddly, the hand towel was just about absorbent enough to completely dry me even though the towel material is not that thick or heavy.

That said, given the option to use a normal towel, I would still pick the normal towel although I am wondering if that is just based on familiarity and habit.

Really the key reason to get this is that it is much smaller and lighter than a normal towel and has equally good or perhaps better absorbancy than a normal towel. Therefore for hiking or cycling, etc where you are carrying all your kit, and weight and size is a major consideration, then this is a rather excellent solution.

I have been contemplating this product further. Normal towels are quite hard to wash and dry and are especially heavy when wet. Because of this I can probably get a maximum of 2 or 3 normal bath towels in my washing machine. I think I could get about 10 of these bath towels in the same washing machine and once washed the material is quicker and easier to dry than a normal towel. Therefore not only is the size and weight a major benefit, but if you were travelling the fact it is easier to wash and dry would be another advantage.

If you are really into environmental issues, then if you did replace your normal house towels with these, then I think you would save money on the washing and drying process and also acheive a lower environmental impact.

The material these are made of is soft and somehow quite dense. Certainly you could use them as beach towel or even to dry your car or other things. Because the material is less thick or clingy, it would have less tendency get sand stuck to it in beath use.

So I think this is an excellent travel towel where size and weight are important but also could be used for a range of other purposes.

These microfibre towels are as I expected, being well made and performing as most towels of this type do. They have the expected features, such as a hanging/drying loop and a mesh storage bag but also come with a small carabiner attached to the drawstring. They perform very well as towels, absorbing plenty of water and drying extremely quickly.

Most microfibre towels are quite large, taking advantage of the fabrics’ light weight. However I was particularly pleased to find that this set came with a much smaller 40cm square towel which is a great addition to my camping and backpacking kit. I also appreciate the range of colours available.

Recommended if you’re looking for a couple of different sized microfibre towels in one set.

This microfibre towel is fairly small, so it is light and does not take up much space. I will find it very useful as a gym towel to keep clean or wipe down any pieces of equipment with before and after use and to mop away any sweat with. The colour is very serviceable, and it has a useful hanging loop that could be removed with its stud fastening if desired at any time. The edges have been neatly overlocked, and the towel is soft and smooth and dries well if you use the patting action required when using a microfibre towel. It folds away to a very small size for storage or transport and there is an excellent bag to put it in.
