The extension lead itself is great, 4 extra plugs has been a huge help for my PC area, due to all the extra plugs I’ve been needing for things like powered usb hubs and speakers. I really like how it has its own safety fuse which provides some peace of mind in the unfortunate event of something shortening out. The on/off switch is a really useful feature but personally I have no use for it, as the extension lead is in a spot that’s practically unreachable without moving things around (granted I don’t really need to use the on/off switch anyway).
With that said, I feel like this extension lead is ever so slightly overpriced – not by much, but this is definitely on the pricier side of things when it comes to extension leads. This extension lead DOES feel well made and it does have its own protection, so that does explain the slight price increase, but I feel like it would be way more appealing if the price was slightly lower.
Great quality extension Lead. Put it to use straight away. Just the right length of cable for the job. We are using one to update our computer, printer, WI-Fi, modem arrangement. Works great and neatly keeps all the cords in order.
The extension lead is indeed robust and well-made thoroughly. It feels durable, and the cable’s thickness reduces concerns about overheating or overload, which is crucial given the high-powered devices I often use. It comes with an integrated Fuse Button that offers fast-acting protection against overloads. I experienced a minor overload issue once, and instead of dealing with the hassle of replacing a fuse, I reset the button. This ease of use and added safety measures are significant benefits.
The cable length is perfect for my needs, allowing flexibility in positioning the power strip without the need for additional extension cables. The 90 arrangement of the sockets is thoughtfully designed, making it ideal for angular plugs. This feature maximizes space and avoids the frustration of bulky plugs blocking adjacent sockets. The illuminated 2-pole switch is a nice touch. It’s easy to see whether the strip is on or off at a glance, and the ability to cut power to all connected devices with a single switch is convenient and energy-saving. The power strip’s casing is stylish and elegant.
While the heavy-duty nature of the cable and the robust design are positives, they make the power strip somewhat bulkier and heavier than standard ones. This isn’t a major issue, but it can be cumbersome if you want a more compact solution. I would have expected some USB slots, too, as this is the general norm with most extension leads nowadays. Furthermore, the lead is slightly expensive compared with similar leads out there.
Overall, the 4-way grounded extension lead comes with a heavy-duty cable, and integrated safety features provide superior protection and reliability. While it’s a bit bulkier and more expensive than some alternatives, the benefits far outweigh this minor drawback.
