This is lighter than the official controller which makes it actually feel a lot better . It’s very solidly built and the response times are as good – if not better – than the official controller so for a fraction of the price, this is a wonderful bit of kit . We’ve tried lots of unofficial replacements over the years and this is the best yet . Highly recommended.

The Clevo Controllers for PS4, Wireless Game Controller is good quality. The controller connects easily to the ps4 and works well.
The controller is rechargeable and has a good battery life.
The vibration works well, my son hasn’t noticed any lagging with the controller and all buttons work as they should.
    Good quality
    Works well

This product was sent to me for review, as part of Amazon Vine. The below is my own real-world experience of using it.

I was particularly drawn to it, because I sometimes like to game on my Chromebook, and having a spare wireless controller is handy, as the laptop is Bluetooth enabled.

In terms of quality, the controller appears to be well-made – it has a fairly robust construction, with a sleek finish that is actually a little more reminiscent of a PS5 controller. It is also very lightweight, and ergonomic, with evenly and comfortably spaced buttons/triggers.

Setting it up was straightforward – the device had a quickly-recognisable name (which is handy when you have a lot of Bluetooth devices), and paired to my laptop within seconds. I use Amazon Luna for gaming, and this had no issues accepting the controller – I received a ‘your controller is ready to use’ message, soon after starting the application.

The controller itself is pretty responsive, though some commands feel a little mushy/stiff at times (it seems to come and go?). On the whole, though, I was happy with how it performed. The battery life also holds up well, and is easily rechargeable, with the included cable.

In summary, a good value item.

It works perfect with my ps4 no troubles buttons are all in the same place as the original. Mine did come with a charger that didn’t work but wasn’t an issue for me personally sometimes it happens would definitely recommend if you need a cheap alternative for a remote

Got this as whilst I have original controller for PS I had to use it wired on PC to save having to relearn BT connection each time.

Windows 11 and this work just fine, the controller isn’t recognised as a PS controller though so you might have to tweak the controller setup in game but for all my tests I didnt

No noticable lag in game for movement and buttons so no issues there

Its lighter than original and I assume thats likely to to smaller battery but as of yet not needed to charge so I could be wrong on that score.

So easy to connect to PC easy to use with no real downsides

I can’t find anything not to like at the price poi

Good quality for the price. The wireless connectivity is reliable, with minimal input lag. Pairing with PS4 is straightforward, and it maintains a stable connection throughout gameplay. The battery life is decent, lasting several hours on a single charge, though it falls slightly short of the original DualShock 4’s longevity. The charging time is reasonable, and the controller can be used while charging, which is a practical feature.

What’s apparent from the off is that this controller is based heavily on the official Sony PS4 controller. Everything the official one has, this has too. From the touch pad at the top, the light sensor at the front and the proprietary headphone connection (including 3.5mm headphone Jack) at the front. Even has the same rumble motors for vibration when getting hit or feeling an explosion in game etc.

Only tried thus far with a PC but first connected it with the supplied micro usb to usb A cable (same as official ps4 DualShock has). Was able to detect it straight away (no drivers) and play Resident Evil 2 no problem. Feels really good in use. Slightly lighter than the ps4 official.

So next challenge.get it working via Bluetooth. So my PC has a Bluetooth dongle already and putting it into discovery mode then holding the home button down on the controller for a few seconds (flashing blue light on controller) I detected it as “Wireless Controller”. Tested it using the “setup USB controllers” app in windows 10 and it tested fine. Couldn’t get it to work at all wirelessly with Resident Evil 2 though – perhaps too old a game.

Tried with Crysis Remastered (yes my PC can run it ) and it doesn’t detect the controller wirelessly here either. Tried it with Starfield though and it is detected and works with it. However, too many keys in Starfield to really get the best of it via a game pad in my opinion. Looking forward to trying it with a mobile device, tablet and the Asus Rog Ally and will report back.

Overall though very happy with it. It feels well made, comfortable to use and it’s easily half the cost of the official PS4 game pad.

5.0 out of 5 stars Really nice usb/bluetooth controller for the money

Just from holding it, isn’t doesn’t feel too bad. The original still wins when it comes to ergonomics, however not by a huge lead.
This has all the features the original had such as touchpad, vibrations, wireless use and audio. This is controller is less than half the price of the original and it has the same features with only a little loss in how it feels to hold the controller. This is worth the buy.

While this is only advertised for PS4, it does work on the PC and likely other devices too that support controllers. This controller is a decent alternative to the official PS4 controller. It’s comfortable to hold, the buttons and joysticks are responsive, and the built-in touchpad adds a fun dimension to gameplay. The vibration feedback and sound quality are surprisingly good, and the battery life is decent and hasn’t ran out.

I have only used this on my PC, cannot attest to its PlayStation compatibility.
**It also arrived as a blue controller – not white!**

I used this controller on the Steam platform.
It was picked up as a PS4 controller.
Controller testing verified that the touchpad and buttons all worked.
It is a comfortable to hold controller and responds well.
    Happy with this.

This is a bit of a steal. It’s well made, robust and comfortable to hold. It connects seamlessly to anything that can use a Bluetooth controller and makes playing certain games so much easier. I’ve connected this to Android devices, Apple devices and PC’s, all without any problems at all.

It feels really good in the hand – similar to PS4 controllers by Sony and the design makes them look good too.

This PS4 controller looks similar in design to the original and for a wireless controller at the price point, its a good package. It paired fine via Bluetooth and although the buttons have a different feel and weight to the original controller, it makes a decent replacement if you don’t want to go to the expense of a branded one. Its a pretty good package and my only real frustration is why they have chosen to use the old micro USB connection instead of a USB C.

This is a good replacement if you’re looking for something similar to Sonys PS4 controller but without the expense.

The controller feels well made and solid to hold. Comfortable to play with and while not an exact replica all the controls are where they should be for a seamless transition between controllers.

All the controls work ok some better than others and some are stiffer when used but some of this is personal preference so hard to say anything is a negative on this controller. The only downside is the old micro USB cable provided but even this doesn’t directly effect the playing.

Great as a back up controller or spare for multiplayer games.

This is slightly larger than the official PS4 pad, but much, much lighter. So light that it feels like a toy. The handles are clearly hollow, whereas the PS4 pad has the vibration motors in the handles. So it’s not as well balanced.
The handles are more angular than official pads, but this is actually comfortable. The buttons and touch pad all work, but some are clearly lower quality such as the triggers having little/no resistance. The share and options button are also more clicky. The d-pad doesn’t feel quite as good, but is fine. Not noticeably bad while in use.
The light works just like on the official pad, and the grip on the thumbsticks is very good. I’ve mainly been using it wired with my phone for remote play with PS5, for which it works very well. But because of this, I’m not sure what the battery life is like. With it being so light, I don’t have high hopes.

This is a good controller for either PS4 or pc, I’ve set it up on my pc and played a few games. It pairs easily via Bluetooth and once I mapped the buttons in steam I tried it out. The controls are really good and no drift, then buttons are clicky which I like ,the triggers for me feel a little light when pressing ,it would be nice if there was a little more resistance but overall the build quality is good and the it works well as intended.

his is an ok controller, it looks pretty nice and doesn’t feel cheap but it is noticeably not quite as good as a regular controller which is what i expect at this price point.

i was able to pair it via bluetooth with my pc and play games on steam in a few seconds with no fiddling with configuration and other than lacking the quality responsive feel of my more expensive controllers was just fine and all functions worked fine.

if you just need a compatible controller on a budget that is nice and simplified in its design then this is worth a look.
