ot bad but awkward to use.i have + old one from Tandy’s it is great no batts needed to power it but the part that checks the button battery broke off or I wouldn’t have needed a new one.u have to hold batts upside down to test + hold the negative lead to the bottom of the batt.but I think it will get easier in time so not bad + at least it tests about 13 batts.so quite good I’d say.
The Battery tester with LCD display is a simple and straightforward tool for checking battery voltage and power. It works with a wide range of batteries, including AA, AAA, C, D, 9V, 1.2V alkaline and rechargeable batteries, as well as various button cells and lithium batteries like CR2032 and 18650. Batteries fit easily into the slots, and the LCD display provides clear readings. It’s a handy device for quickly assessing battery life and ensuring that all your devices are powered. Highly recommended for its ease of use and versatility.
This was easy to use. One end of a battery goes on the terminal then you touch the other end with the probe. It then tells you how much life a battery has. Not sure how useful this really is though, maybe for larger batteries or rechargeable ones it would be handy. It does work well though
I received this item via the vine programme and this is my honest and unbiased review.
This is a fabulous bit of kit. Very easy to use, fully comprehensive in what can be tested. I love having this all in one thing.
What more can I say, a definite winner. Glad to have this!
5 Stars!

The LCD display shows basic information and may not provide as much detail or context as more advanced testers.
Overall, the Dlyfull Universal Battery Tester with LCD Display offers a versatile and user-friendly solution for testing a wide range of batteries. Potential buyers should consider the tester’s ease of use, accuracy, and portability against the lack of advanced features and occasional usability inconveniences to ensure it meets their needs.
This compact unit is supplied in a printed cardboard box together with a set of AAA batteries and a small instruction pamphlet. There is no case, but the box will serve nicely for storage.
Initially I had my doubts as to the products reliability. For some reason I couldn’t get the product to repeat, the same battery tested several times in a row had a different reading each time. I put this down to two things, the slightly fiddly design that requires the smaller, positive terminal to be pressed against a pad on the unit itself, but mostly down to the negative probe being lain flat on the negative terminal of the battery.
I got far more consistent readings placing the negative probe upright against the contact surface (i.e with the minimum amount of contact possible).
As far as this unit goes, it is fine. Where each battery (within the products range) goes is clearly shown on the unit. It is also (apart from the placing of the battery and probe) fully automatic as in you do not need to select a mode or voltage range.
Given the price, this firmly falls into multimeter territory, but if you are not confident using a multimeter this product has a valid place.
This rather nice battery tester arrived in a slim easy to recycle cardboard box. Also inside the box where 2 AAA batteries sealed inside plastic wrap, both of which worked fine. Plus some instructions, which are not really needed as this tester is beyond simple to use.
While well made from a decent quality plastic, I must admit at first glance it looked like something I would’ve bought from a (now defunct) Tandy store in the 1980’s. But looks can be deceptive, because this is one seriously great tester. Especially as it can test a huge variety of battery types and sizes.
Unlike other testers it can even test rechargeable batteries. Yes, it does takes a few minutes to realise you need to put the positive battery terminal onto the tester terminal. Then use the curly probe on the negative terminal, then press the check button, but you soon get used to doing that.
Another thing that’s very different from other testers is the screen. Or more precisely a large and clear LCD display. Which provides some very accurate readings. Not only the battery power as a percentage, but also what the voltage is.
A feature that I’ve never seen on a battery tester before. A feature that quickly caught the attention of the kids, so much so I got them to test all the batteries in the battery recycling box. Batteries that had already been tested by another more simpler tester.
A tester that said these were not much use, but many tested on this said they had a 70-90% charge left.
So, for less than 30 minutes “work”, we saved a fortune on batteries and it entertained the kids!
This is a quite odd thing, but it does seem to work, at least as far as confirming if a battery is flat, or fully charged. It does give percentages of charge in the battery but at the moment I have no way of corroborating what it says, other than it agrees with other things that say a battery is dead/or not.
The mechanism of operation is odd. A batteries positive terminal has to be held in a specific place on it (many such places exist for different battery types) at the same time as a lead, pulled out from the bottom right of the unit, is touched to the negative end of the battery, It then, within a few seconds, gives a verdict.
As I say, an odd system, as it requires a degree of precision, when none should be needed – it’s even more fiddly that using a multimeter to do the same job.
But it does work.
Pricewise I would say it’s quite expensive for a simple battery tester, that only does one thing, given the cost of multimeters, that can do many related things.
4 stars, as it does the job it’s supposed to, but it is, in my opinion, an expensive tool that only does one thing.
PROS
-a very useful device to have in the home and workshop
-I have a vast amount of different batteries, this unit tests all of them
-nice that the internal batteries are included
CONS
-sometimes it’s a challenge to keep the cathode (positive end) of a battery properly balanced on the metal sensor in the tester. Faff.
-when storing it between uses, the coiled cable just doesn’t fit anywhere neatly
NOTES
-I can’t speak to how accurate this is, as I have no basis for comparison. But my older batteries do report lower capacity on this, so I’m willing to take its readings at face value, and I’m glad to have it.
MY STAR RATINGS:
1* substandard, mostly cons
2** barely acceptable, cons outweigh the pros
3*** meets the basic requirements, cons balance the pros
4**** good product, pros outweigh the cons
5***** exceptional, all (or almost all) pros

This is the only battery tester I have, so I’m going to have to assume it’s reading my battery levels correctly as I have nothing to compare it to. The best I can state is that one of my TV remotes will show a battery symbol on the screen when I first turn the TV on and it showed 3/4 bars. I then tested the two AA batteries it uses. One said 70% and the other 74%. That’s the best ballpark figures I can give you. I tested it on some backup (unused) batteries and they showed 98%-100% so as far as I can tell this tester works just fine. I didn’t find the directions the easiest to follow, but I managed. I’m not keen on the self-check for the battery tester which is why I gave it four stars.
