I not a hard core player, I play probably once or twice a week so I am unsure on the durability for heavy use (although I do feel it would hold its own)
It was very easy to put on, feels lovely when playing with a good grip
These silicone skins are reasonably easy to fit, the bit I found hard were the ends of the joystick I found them very tricky to fit. Will obviously keep the controller clean and easier to grip. In my opinion they are definitely worth the purchase but there is one downside and unfortunately he won’t fit on a dual charging station because of the silicon, it means I have to use the USB lead to charge the controllers.
I definitely feel that these grips add value to the way that the controller feels in the hand, and the main grip cover was a doddle to fit. But, wow, the thumb controller grips certainly were a bit fiddly – the video makes popping them insider out to fit over the thumb controllers look easy, maybe mine was an exception to that rule, but that did take some time to get right. Now they are on, I am certain they won’t slip off! All that being said, I’d definitely buy these again should I ever need more.
Really like these skins. They’re an easy way of changing the appearance of your controller if you fancy a change (I purchased the white one). They fit really well, and give you a nice grip for long gaming sessions.
The only downside- as pointed out by a previous reviewer- is that when the skin is on, the controller does not sit flush on the PS Dual sense charging station, so you can’t charge it. (Unsure whether this would also be the case on third party ones, or whether it’s unique to the official one).
Either way, I now can only charge it by cable (unless I remove the skin), which is a bit inconvenient.
Anyone who’s struggling to put the thumb grips on – turn them inside out and place them on top your sticks. Then it’s just a case of pulling it down onto your sticks. Once I figured that out, it took about 5 seconds to get the grips on!
Quality is good, colour is lovely and it does what it’s meant to – stops sweaty hands! Very happy with this.
I bought this to protect my new PS5 controller and wanted some thumb grips as well. The silicon controller cover is easy to install although I was concerned at one point that the thin parts were going to tear. It feels really nice in the hands.
The one frustrating thing is the thumb grips. How on earth do I get these things on? I cannot tell if it is because they material is too thick or just too stiff. I even tried soaking them in a bowl of hot water to soften them. Still no luck.
Anyone reading this who knows how to get the grips on please let me know!
Absolutely the best cover and thumb grips ive ever used. Ive used loads of covers and grips going back to the ps3 and these are the best in every way.
The cover fits perfectly with no baggy loose parts like all the rest i have used. Its made of quality thick rubber material that snaps snuggly around the whole controller. Puzzles me how some have said they were snapped as they are packaged well enough. All you have to do is always hold the thicker bits never the thinner parts and ease them over carefully. I could see over stretching tearing them but a bit of care and you’ll be fine. The nobbles give great grip and are way better than the bear controller. No sweating no slipping feels comfortable in your hands.
The thumb grips are way better than the cheaper ones and theyre so simple to install too. You just turn them inside out place them in the middle and let them snap back over the stick too. Job done. Like i said ive had loads and the rest have always been too thick restricting your play. So when you push forward the grip hits the rubber cover and impedes it. Meaning your having to put loads of pressure to go in the direction you want to go. That does not happen with these at all and i can see a lot of precise and quality work went into both the cover and grips.
They maybe a little dearer than some but are well worth the extra. Just get some you wont be disappointed.
