    Pros:

Was pleasantly surprised by how solid this thing is. Feels sturdy and well-built; doesn’t creak or anything like that. The plastic is comfortable to hold.

The subtle RGB around the joysticks looks really nice, and it’s so easy to change the settings. The small amount of bleed-through from the lighting through the casing is really nice.

The joysticks feel responsive and smooth, which actually helps in improving the gaming experience. Nothing to complain about here.

For me, these buttons were silent and tactical, having a much snappier feel than some of the more official controllers. The D-Pad is good too.

    Verdict:

I have used this controller with my Nintendo Switch, and the experience has been great. It does everything it should, and I really can’t complain about it at this price. The build quality is excellent, the comfort level is high, and the features are really nice for someone on a budget looking for a controller that will deliver. It provides solid performance and incredible value.

Super lightweight not a sturdy or well-made as the original ones, but for the price you cannot fault the product. It connected to a switch in second and my kids have used it every day. The battery last for a couple of days and it’s easily charged using the USB cable provided.

This controller is nice and lightweight. It connects to the computer with ease; however, to connect it to a PC, you will need Bluetooth. Many laptops have this already, but desktop PCs may require a Bluetooth receiver. The layout is Nintendo Switch, but if you are using Steam, Steam can translate the inputs to correct for the game expecting Xbox inputs, so A will be A even if it is in a different position to an Xbox controller. The controller is very comfortable to use and has a very good feeling vibration. The batteries last quite well, and overall, it is a pretty decent, cheap controller.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThe controller is not too heavy, quite lightweight. It’s comfortable to hold. The analog sticks have decent feel and are responsive. There are lighting effects on the sticks, but there is an option to turn that off. There is also a screen shot button. Be aware the L2 and R2 triggers are digital and not analog. Even though it is inexpensive, it feels sturdy and not flimsy. I feel like if I knocked it off the desk it would be alright.

The instruction manual was a little unclear, but not too difficult to figure out. The controller charges with a USB-C cable that is included. It was easy to set up on P.C. with a Bluetooth adapter. There is also an option to use it wired.

My only criticism is that the writing on the buttons is black on black so hard to read. Once you’ve learned which button is which that isn’t a big deal. Muscle memory takes over. All in all a good budget controller.

This switch controller came well packed. It has some foam around the analogue sticks to stop them from getting damaged in transit. It’s easy to link up to the switch, and all the buttons feel nice and responsive, and the controller is comfortable to hold. When it’s on, it has lighted up circles around the analogue sticks, which you can change the colour patterns on, this gives a really nice look to them. The range on the controller seems to be quite good. It’s a pretty good controller overall.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI got this controller for its PC connection capabilities and it works well for that use.

There is instructions, which came with the controller however I did find them somewhat difficult to follow.

Plugging these in via the provided USB C cable I was able to get them work for me when playing EA FC. If trying unplugged, it works. However I cannot get the same button settings to stay, and it loses it. Not found a way around it yet.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is a great little controller for the price.

In the hand it reminds me more of the Stadia controller than the first party pro controller, the legs are a slightly different angle. Thats not a bad thing though.. the stadia controller is one of the best controllers Ive ever held.

I tried it with Switch, a phone and also a PC using X-input mode both wired and Bluetooth and had no issues with any of these.

The battery life seems fine, and it feels well built to me, for 14 its not bad value at all.

I was really impressed by this joypad, more so considering the price. It’s worth mentioning that out the box the button lock feature is active and to wake the joypad you need to plug it into a USB power source, Nintendo Switch or a USB port on the PC.

    Build Quality
It’s pretty solid with no creaks etc on teh outer case. It’s been made from nice plastic which feels good in teh hands.

    RGB
I really like the subtle RGB lighting around the joysticks it looks really good and there is minimal light bleed through the which plastic casing. It’s very easy to adjust using the dedicated button on the rear.

    Joysticks
Both feel very nice to use. No complaints

    Buttons
Very nice silent tactical buttons which are very similar to the original pro controller. It could be as it is new but they felt a little snappier than my official pro controller.

    D-Pad
Like the other buttons this works just fine

    Other features
It has gyro support and some additional features such as xbox layout remapping, a lock mode to stop the joypad waking from accidental button inputs, firmware updatable, on joypad ruble toggling. Once paired with a switch it will wake the switch from sleep using the home button.

    The manual
A manual is included to provide an overview of the various inbuilt features. The text print on the manual is very small, to the point I found it hard to read without bringing it very close to my face.

    Overall
A fantastic third party Switch joypad that does everything except read amiibos. The hand grips although similar to the official pro controller are slightly narrower and bulge out towards the bottom of the grips which to me is more comfortable in the hand than the official pad. Visually it looks really good being made from a matt white plastic with black buttons. No analogue R2/L2 which on the switch is not much of an issue. A USB cable is provided.

5.0 out of 5 stars Insane quality for the price
