    Thankfully, GoPro has made the outer ‘lens’ replaceable. This replacement unit works perfectly to replace a damaged one. A simple quarter turn to remove the old one and then replace it with new. This appears every bit as good as the original. Optically clear, seals lock down.

    I got this lens for my GoPro 12. It arrived well packaged in a ziplock bag and plastic protective case. On my initial inspection I couldn’t see any difference between this and the lens that came with my camera. I examined under a lighted magnifying glass and still, it is identical to the original in every way. Even the little numbers and identifiers molded into the plastic are identical. I’m unable to test the glass for resilience but I’m confident it is the same as well. If and when I scratch the lens on my GoPro I’ve got a replacement that is identical. Everyone should have one if you have the GoPro 12.
