My old heat gun must be 30 years old and this was a revelation to me. This puts out so much more heat and the supplied nozzles are definitely useful for things like heat shrink tubing, de-soldering, and working near glass, etc. Only the control wheel for the temperature let it down. It needs more pronounced ridges around the circumference to enable better grip when adjusting it.
This I use for burning wood and it’s brilliant there are two heat settings and heats up quickly it’s not overly heavy to hold for a period of time and comes with lots of interchangeable attachments for different projects
