Basically it’s isopropanol solution which is good for cleaning glass and similar surfaces.
The spray bottle is just right to keep in the car but it can be used anywhere and once the product runs out I’ll see if the bottle can be reused (don’t want to break it before it’s finished) as the bottle and spray head are good.
It’s a good product but you could make it cheaper at home.
This product was sent to me for review, as part of Amazon Vine. The below is my own real-world experience of using it.
It comes securely contained within the sturdy plastic bottle, with an effective spray trigger.
Having cleaned my car with it, I can say that it is only necessary to use a small amount – the liquid spreads very well, and provides an excellent clean, even on stubborn and built-up dirt.
In summary, a good value item that would last for a while.
What a fab product. Though as you can see from the pictures I didn’t waste it on the car windscreen, I decided to test it in the kitchen.
A couple of sprays, a piece of kitchen towel and the glass lampshades came up lovely. No longer will I have to dismantle the lights to wash the lampshades.
Then I tried it on the glass splashback behind the cooker – this thing is the bane of my life. I did need to use a bit more elbow grease here, but it cleaned it better than any other product I have.
I also have a pull up set of sockets with a chrome top, always needs a clean as in regular use, came up lovely with the spray.
Used it on my glasses and the screen of the mobile and cleaned them great.
I think if using it outside I would make sure it wasn’t windy or too hot/sun on the windscreen.
You don’t want to waste the spray and end up with it on you and not the windscreen and as it evaporates quickly, only spray a bit at a time and on a cool surface.
This isn’t a massive bottle but it is probably enough to justify the price.
Once you have attached the included spray nozzle it is just a case of spraying onto the window and wiping with a cloth. It suggests you use a microfibre cloth but as others have said, I achieved a better result with kitchen towel though it might be better with a better quality microfibre cloth.
Results are not bad though it certainly isn’t a miracle solution. There is a slight odour that fades quickly.
It certainly cleaned the glass but I’m not convinced it is a lot better than a good quality supermarket glass cleaner which costs a lot less.
Apparently, each bottle provides over 20 uses, making it incredibly economical and long-lasting. This cleaner is perfect for all types of vehicles.
It works well at removing dirt and grime. The application process is straightforward, with clear guidelines for safe handling and storage. The spray nozzle with a lock prevents accidental spills and the bottle is compact and easy to handle
Overall, a good product providing great results.
As a cleaner, this product is not bad; it does get windows and windscreens quite clean. It seems to have an alcohol base, which is presumably how it manages to clean streak-free. I am not the best at cleaning windscreens, as I struggle with the angle, but I did give it my best shot with this fluid and a microfibre cloth, hoping that the streak-free claim would hold up. It was better than some other cleaning products I have used, but I wouldn’t say it is streak-free 100% of the time. However, it is a fairly decent cleaner.
This Hendlex Crystal Clean cleaner arrived in two pieces, the metal container and separate trigger spray. Both were easy to put together.
I initially used the cleaner on my patio doors using a microfibre cloth but I was disappointed with the amount of fibres the cloth left on my windows. I then switched to a quality kitchen towel and no fibres were left.
I did notice that the product sprays extremely finely. I do not know if this means it will last an age or if you need to use more to achieve the desired result.
In true product testing style I used the Hendlex cleaner on one half of the doors and my normal cleaning product on the other half. I found the Hendlex cleaner easy to use and wipe off but I also found that it did not remove stubborn spots as easily as my normal cleaner does.
I asked my husband which side was brighter and he picked the side that had been cleaned with my normal window cleaner…
I then used the spray on the car windscreen and windows. I did this with the doors opened (as the product is quite strong smelling).
The Hendlex did clean off all the marks on the inside of the windows but I did need to spray twice on stubborn marks (sat nav suction marks and dog nose smears) and go over a few times with the cloth.
I am rather lazy when it comes to vehicle maintenance and generally only do what’s required. I’m certainly not out every weekend cleaning my ‘pride and joy’ as, to me, a car is just a means of getting from A to B. Being able to see out of the car windows is rather important though so I want something that will do the job quickly and effectively. The Hendlex cleaner does, from initial tests, fit the bill.
The bottle is 200ml, so not particularly large, and arrives with just a cap on and a separate spray nozzle. The hose for the nozzle seems a little long for the bottle but I’m assuming that is intentional so it is guaranteed to reach the bottom of the bottle to maximise its longevity.
After removing the cap and adding the nozzle it just takes a few test sprays before the liquid spray starts coming out. You don’t need a lot as it does seem to spray quite nicely outwards, though any wind will have an effect on how far away from the window/glass you need to be. After spraying it’s simply a case of using a microfibre cloth to wipe the surface clean.
From cleaning my car windows and mirrors it seems to do a very reasonable job and I did not notice any streaks so don’t have any complaints. The store page does say this is unscented but there is a definite chemical whiff to it, but not overpoweringly so, and the bottle does say to use in a ventilated area which is probably good advice. The store page also suggests the bottle is ideal to be left in your glove box, though I’m not sure how comfortable I am leaving a can of compressed chemical fluid in there and, while I’m sure it is absolutely fine, mine will be staying in the house.
An effective, quick, cleaning solution.
