I originally bought this to work with my brand new MG3 hybrid, which I was surprised didn’t have wireless CarPlay, but did have CarPlay via a cable.
This item would have been perfect, but didn’t work in my new car. It must be an issue with the car though, as it worked perfectly well in my friends Seat Ibiza.
After struggling with many different cables to get android auto working consistently. I tried this item, got to say it’s seamless, connects first time and has all the features of wired connection.
Very happy with this item and had a discount code so below 30 quid is a bargain compared to spending money on cables which stop working after a couple of days/weeks.
I have been using a cable in my car and this product now replaces the cable which is a good thing. The product was very easy to setup plug and play and the connection of Bluetooth. It’s a very small device so can be tucked away near the usb slot. The sound quality is amazing to and has not made a difference in quality at all.
Cracking item. Works well with no real issues as of yet. Can sometimes take a couple of minutes to connect but that’s not a real problem. Quality of connection is great. Definitely would buy agai

I already had a wireless android auto adapter, but my wife is just changing her phone to iPhone so bought this Hotpeak adapter on the basis it can connect using both Carplay for Apple and Android Auto for Android (my phone is Android)
I have just set it up in my wife’s car and it’s brilliant! Dead simple toset up, took less than a minute.
The other thing that impressed me is how quickly it connects to the car. I did a quick video to demonstrate this. It connects instantaneously. So you get in car and nomore plugging phone in, your phone can be in your pocket, handbag, bag in boot and it just connects wirelessly.
Only just set up so I will update this review with longer term experience. But initially I have streamed music using my Deezer account, navigatedusing Waze, made phone calls.
I think if you are buying a wireless adapter get this one as it connects to both Android and Apple phones and does not cost any more than an adapter that only connects to either Apple or Android
Lastly it is great value, I am very pleased with my purchase and so is the wife!

This works absolutely perfectly with my Kenwood DMX7017DABS. I upgraded to an iphone 15 and the head unit wouldn’t allow me to use a USB Type C for car play.
I have fitted this Wireless carplay module and it works perfectly. I can charge my phone from the 12V Socket and still have access to my device for maps etc. 5* all round! Cheaper than buying a brand new head unit.
I own a Mazda CX5 with wired CarPlay only and I wanted wireless to make things easier.
This device is tiny. I plugged it in and within seconds was invited to connect to it via Bluetooth. Once done, CarPlay booted up and I was ready to go.
Everything works well. I can navigate, use my apps including Siri voice control. All the steering wheel buttons work as expected. Google maps is lag free and works really well.
Every time I start my car, CarPlay boots up quickly with no further intervention. Brilliant.
This was the perfect addition to my Land Rover Range Rover Autobiography. Whilst it previously connected to CarPlay via a Lightning lead the connection was unreliable, even with a new, quality lead. The connection would fail so often that I would not use CarPlay.
With this great bit of kit that plugs into a standard USB connection in the car and out of sight, my phone automatically connects to the car and initiates CarPlay. I am now able to use Google Maps, Google or Waze to navigate with voice commands and all the other usual features such as messaging, WhatsApp, Mobile Telephone and more. The car would already connect to my iPhone for music but all the Apps are all now in one tidy CarPlay package.
There is no noticeable lag in connection and the set up is so easy.
I am more than happy to give this item a 5-star review.

Literally 5 minutes after plugging it in I was enjoying super smooth, lag free wireless carplay in my van unlike with some other adapters I have tried.
The unit is tiny and unobtrusive, simple to set up and works like a charm.

Really compact and unintrusive – the included USBa to USBc dongle was very useful. Fast connection within a few seconds of turning the ignition.
Cleverly, it uses its own WiFi as a private network — this allows your mobile to “WiFi connect” directly to the gizmo via IP address, allowing you to update and so on.

Just used this thing on a long-ish journey, and it was flawless. Never dropped connection, calls were clear, and essentially, it was as good as the wired connection. Really pleased
To set it up you just need to plug in the USB dongle (it some with a USBC adapter in case that’s what your car has) and go to the Bluetooth settings in your phone. Connect to the Smartlink one that pops up and select “Pair”, a couple of other clicks and it is all working.
These dongles used to be 100+ so very pleased to find this one so cheap and it works like a charm 100% recommended.
I recently bought this wireless adapter, and I’m extremely satisfied with it. Have been watching other brands such as AA wireless for a while but it’s a bit expensive, so just decided to try this cheaper option. The setup was super easy – just plug it in and follow the instruction on the mutimedia screen it then connects right away. The connection is fast and stable, with no noticeable lag. It works perfectly with my 2021 car and both my Android phone and my wife’s iPhone. Going wireless has made our drives much more convenient. Highly recommend this adapter!
