The box is pretty and the lining is a nice dark blue colour. The box was slightly more of a grey colour than I thought it would be. I had imagined it to be more of a silver colour, but it was still nice and the recipient seemed pleased with it. A good weight to the box too.
I bought this trinket box for a birthday gift and the recipient was thrilled with it. She is difficult to buy for as her taste is “eclectic but quirky!” Scored a massive hit with a wee box!
Pleasantly surprised with the quality of this little trinket box. It’s nice and weighty with a beautiful design. Just have to be careful with the lid as it opens and closes very easily so the weight of it will slap it shut. But this isn’t really a major problem if you’re careful and close it properly instead of just dropping the lid. Would recommend!
Based on other reviews I wasn’t too sure what to expect as you either love it or don’t but it’s actually a lovely wee decorative box in my opinion.
It’s sturdy, the lid isn’t a smooth close so if you let it go when closing it does slap shut with the weight. If you drop it on your foot it’s going to hurt! The decoration makes it look more elegant.
Colour is mostly a steel grey but does aid it in looking older, some bits lighten when catching the light. I think there may have been filters or directed light on some the pictures I saw in the advert and reviews to change the colour a little.
It has a firm lining with a velvety feel inside and the same material underneath which is a good touch.
Size wise it’s perfect for what I need. I took a picture next to a standard 400g size can of tomatoes so you can judge it, I mean you no idea how big my hands are so it was pointless holding it up!
All in all I’d certainly be happy to buy again as a gift, it’s a bargain price. It looks great sat on the side in the bedroom holding rings and ear rings.
