Huawei build great wearables! Far better quality and longer lasting than watches 10x the price. My only issue is the set up. Google will make every effort to make it hard work for the watch to interface. This is only because of America. But it just means that you have to ignore the Google warning and upload the software. Google were happy to support Huawei for years prior. I can say that the watch works amazingly well, the charge lasts 10+ days. It is also a great looking watch both my wife and children have these and I have a GT2 which is over 3 years old. You won’t be disappointed with these.

There’s a few things I love about this watch:
Appearance- Smartlooking watch light weight feels like a part of me and not too big.
Battery- Battery life last long and the charging is supper quick.
Performance The watch performs well and keeps track and pretty accurate.
All in all the watch is very good for the price it helps me keep track as I’m exercising it’s easy to read and use it notifies me when I’ve reached my goals which is really helpful. Definitely recommend.

Accurate data produced, comfortable strap and a clear to see screen even in bright sunlight unlike my previous version. It highlighted a medical problem which has been confirmed by my GP. Took me a while to work out how to set up, where everything was, and the magnetic charging point on the back, which is much better than the previous watch’s clip on charger. Knocked a star off as I could have done with a basic quick start info page. I would recommend this watch.

This is a slightly difficult review to write because I really liked the watch. It is very slim and light, and the display is bright and big enough to put a good looking and readable analogue face on. The metal bevel and curved face give it a surprisingly classy look. Huawei are banned from the Playstore which makes installing the app a bit of a faff. Not too bad, but it is always daunting to ignore the security warnings when sideloading.
I can’t say too much about using the device as I didn’t have it long.
This summer has not exactly been roasty toasty here in the UK, but even so the watch regularly overheated and shut down on sunny days. Even worse it shut itself down while I was cycling, even when not in the sun. As cycling is my main exercise and the reason I bought the device this was not a good thing.
I contacted Huawei support, who replied that it is designed to shut down at 31 degrees C to avoid damage to the device and injury to the wearer. Take from this what you will. Perhaps it is a result of poor heat dissipation from a small form factor but the rival device I bought subsequently does not do this. 31 degrees doesn’t seem a very high temperature to me.
I reluctantly returned it as not fit for my usage, otherwise it was a good device hence the 4 star rating.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersBought this mainly because of its size, it fits nicely on the wrist and isn’t massive like alot of others. It’s also thin, very lightweight and comfortable. Screen looks good and is clear, even in bright sunlight. Functions work well, battery life is good and connects well with Strava app which I use. Notifications work well. Emojis don’t show up, not a big deal but mentioning because they showed up on my last smart watch which was a Mi band 8. Overall I would recommend and glad I purchased. Just to note, I’m using on an iPhone so simply downloaded the app from the app store. I believe you have to download the APK file for the app if using on android.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersMy TomTom finally died and this has been a super replacement. Lightweight, not at all cumbersome, perfectly sized face which can be changed as often as you like. A band that isn’t too thick and an amazing battery. Use it every day to ensure that I’ve done enough steps. It advises when you need to get up and move around and is also accurate with heart rate which is also useful. You can also receive emails and has lots of other features but I did not require that. The only reason I have not given it five stars is that one doesn’t know how long it will last. However I am amazed what you get for the price. Highly recommended.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersBought for an 11 year old – a little fiddly to set up (we struggled with parental permissions to access the Huawei app gallery), but once we got it synced up – very impressive little watch.
My daughter loved the huge variety of wall faces, the call notification function and using her watch to track her swimming. Sits neatly on the wrist – very light and very cute. Great battery life.

Had the watch for a few weeks and so far I really like it. It seems to track steps and heart rate pretty accurately and I did watch a few YouTube reviews that confirmed that. The app is mostly very good, however I have noticed a few discrepancies with the calorie tracking – the watch face and the app data don’t always match up. Also not sure how accurate the calorie tracking is.
I like that you can personalise the watch face on the app – there are so many options!
Overall a good watch for an affordable price which has served its purpose well for me.

Golden Review Award: 70 From Our UsersI have been using this for a few weeks now and I am really happy with it. Get loads of use out of one charge and it has been very accurate with all the stats. You can (not easily, but it’s possible) change the watch face to suit your style and mood, just a shame almost all of them have the wrong date format so I had to find one without the date. Simply refuse to live my life with a watch that thinks the month should be listed first lol. I turned off the auto-wakeup feature as I was getting tired of being flashbanged by my watch when rolling over in bed, so I now just click it once on the side to see the time, heartrate and steps etc. Turning that off also preserves a lot of battery. Not that charging was a chore at all, it charged to full in no time using the usb port on my pc. It weighs more or less nothing, it’s not bulky at all and despite a couple unfortunate bangs it’s still working perfectly and screen is fine.

I changed the strap to a nylon one I bought off Amazon as I really can’t stand the silicone ones. It was super easy to change strap, took me literal seconds and needed no explanation. I found a couple options for strap replacement, including a metal strap, so all hope isn’t lost if you hate wearing silicone as much as I do.

Can only recommend this, it has been utterly brilliant and great value.
