Very happy with camera. I’ve been using it for a few days now and it’s great having piece of mind on an area of my property that was difficult to monitor. This is the first camera that I have bought and found it a bit of a mind field with not knowing what I should be getting and it would have been difficult to find a power source, the camera came with a solar panel so no need to find a power source for it, the camera itself was so easy to set up and I’m useless with modern technology, easily connected to my internet and mobile phone, picture quality is great day or night, I did buy a micro as card but I have now got access to the iCloud for 3.15 a month which I think is a bargain for being able to store all of the recordings. Very happy with my purchase, I might even get a second one for the garden.

I recently bought the ieGeek PTZ Solar Powered Battery Camera set, and it’s been fantastic. Setup was easy with all necessary hardware included, and the two cameras are perfect for covering my home. The solar panels keep the cameras powered without hassle.

The cameras are sturdy and weatherproof. They provide excellent image quality day and night, with smooth PTZ functionality and accurate motion detection. The companion app is user-friendly, offering real-time alerts and two-way audio.

Overall, this camera set is a reliable and efficient security solution, offering great value for money.

Installed 8days ago, no issues with wireless Internet and picture quality is top quality.

I required CCTV for my property but was nervous about what was involved in connecting it to the mains power. We have a 1930s property with very thick walls and then pebble dash on top, so was dreading having to drill through this to get a power lead through.

This is the key reason I chose the ieGeek 2k as it is solar powered so I do not have to do this. The contained battery is also chargeable via a USB too.

The pack comes with 2 cameras and solar panels which is great for further protection around your property. The cameras rotate 360 degrees so no blind spots. You control sensitivity and the app will send you alerts of it detects anything.

It has a built in speaker and microphone so you can speak to people, similar to a Ring doorbell.

You get 6 seconds of free cloud storage per alert, which is stored for 7 days, but also has an Micro SD slot built in to the camera.

This is my 2nd iGeeek camera, so had already installed and used the app software. Very intuitive to use and has good functionality.

In summary, this is a great camera for the price, especially if you do not want the hassle of connecting your CCTV to the mains.

5.0 out of 5 stars CCTV without the need for mains power!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI recently purchased the ieGeek PTZ Solar Powered Battery Camera set, and it has exceeded all my expectations. Here’s why:

    **Setup and Installation:**
The installation process was straightforward and hassle-free. The package included all necessary hardware, and the step-by-step instructions were clear. The set comes with two cameras, which is fantastic for covering multiple areas around my home. The solar panels and wireless connectivity made it easy to set up the cameras without worrying about running wires or finding power sources.

    **Performance:**
The image quality is excellent, both during the day and at night. The PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) feature is smooth and responsive, allowing me to cover a wide area and zoom in on specific details when needed. The motion detection is accurate and not overly sensitive, reducing false alarms. The quality is actually really good.

    **Battery Life and Solar Panel:**
The solar panels work efficiently, keeping the cameras powered without needing frequent recharges. Even in cloudy conditions, the battery life has been impressive, lasting several days on a single charge.

    **Current Setup and Future Plans:**
I have currently fitted one camera at the front of my house and plan to install the second camera in the back street soon. I just wish I could connect these cameras to my Hik-Connect system, which would integrate them with my existing security setup. I will update this review further once I install the second camera.

    **App and Connectivity:**
The app is user-friendly and provides real-time alerts. Live streaming is seamless with minimal lag. I also appreciate the two-way audio feature, which lets me communicate with anyone near the cameras directly through my phone.

    **Conclusion:**
Overall, the ieGeek PTZ Solar Powered Battery Camera set is a reliable and efficient solution for outdoor security. With two cameras included, it offers excellent value for money with its robust features and ease of use. I highly recommend this camera set to anyone looking to enhance their home security without the complications of wired systems.

    Summary
The camera is the next step in quality from ieGeek. I have had a few ieGeek camera’s and this one is by far the best one so far. Sharp and quick connectivity to Wifi are the top stand out features.

    Packaging & Installation
The camera’s come in a nice neat box and the packaging is at a good standard. Everything is properly sealed. The box comes with 2 seperate cameras, bear in mind you would have to install them separately. The package comes with the camera itself, solar panel, USB C to C charging cable(no block for socket) and screws, the screws are separate from the solar panel installation to the camera installation.
You will need a size 6 drill bit for these particular screws and possibly a masonry drill bit if your drilling on wall. All together you will need to drill 5 holes if you want to install both the solar panel and the camera. If you plan to charge the camera and not install the solar panel then you need to drill 2 holes only.
The camera’s also come with a few stickers to deter any criminals.

    Quality & features
The camera is packed with features to help with all your security needs. As you can see from some of the images the app is packed with different settings to fiddle around with including adjustments to the sensitivity and some basic Ai technology for detection.
    Miscellaneous features
*You can move the camera almost 360 from app
    *2 way talking feature
*Lights on camera, switch on via app or auto detection in night
*Recording via SD however limited to 10 seconds per capture
    *Night vision
There are plenty of other features which can cater for your needs.

    Battery & Charging
Based on how many detections and sensitivity(on settings) my camera lasts around a month without solar, charging via USB-C takes a few hours. With solar it depends on sunlight and summer days are obviously better, I haven’t had the opportunity to see how the solar panel plays in the winter.

    Alexa
Connects to Alexa like a charm, name the camera something easy like ‘front door’ and then tell Alexa show me front door camera. The camera will show up on your Alexa for around 3/4 minutes before rerurning home. You need to connect to Alexa using the app and not directly through Alexa.

    Improvements
The app still has a little room for improvement. The battery indicator when the solar panel is attached only shows a charging indicator but not the percentage. This can be problematic as you want to know if the camera is low on battery even if the panel is on.
Although cloud is available at a subscription cost the SD only records for a few seconds longer then the free cloud storage. I would like a slightly longer recording time for SD.
The camera is a little on the bulky size, which could be an advantage for some of you as you want it to be seen, however I find it a little too large.
I can’t give you a review on how it plays in extreme weather, my camera is not exposed to that scenario as it has a roof over it, so im not sure how the lens will be able to tolerate the weather.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI wanted a security camera that could work independently of mains power and work on a wireless network as the position of the camera was to protect a garage with no mains available at the chosen location. I already have 2x ieGeek wired cameras that work amazingly well in terms of picture quality and performance so I didn’t hesitate in purchasing the ieGeek Outdoor Solar Security Camera. The camera also has a built-in battery that is charged from the supplied solar panel so the camera will work at night. The other advantage of a battery powered camera is that it will still work if there is a power cut offering redundancy should the other wired cameras lose power. Also during a power cut you may lose internet connection however with this camera it will still record to an internal SD card (you have to supply your own SD card). I have had this camera installed for nearly two weeks now and it has performed flawlessly, you can configure the built in AI to detect people, vehicles, pets and parcels, I selected People and Vehicles and it works every time. The camera has a good wide filed of view and you can remotely pan and tilt the camera from the dedicated App. The only minor inconvenience is that the same App will not work with the existing cameras as they have different features. If you need a truly wire free security camera that is good value for money then I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending the ieGeek Outdoor Solar camera.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI have been using other ieGeek security cameras for some time as their affordability and ease of setup, make them a reasonably good choice for home surveillance. Recently, I purchased this new ieGeek security camera which has combined many desirable features such as, 360 Pan, Battery Camera, and Solar Panel. I have installed it at the front of my house, and it sits nicely under my first-floor window (I attach photos and a footage from the Camera). Here’s my brief review:

    1. Affordable: Very reasonable pricing
    2. Easy Installation with Wireless Connectivity: Straightforward setup process – Wireless connectivity enables easy installation and flexibility in camera placement without the constraints of wired connections.
    3. Decent Image Quality: While not on par with high-end security cameras, IeGeek camera offers satisfactory image quality for home security / monitoring.
    4. Remote Viewing: Ability to remotely access camera feeds via a mobile app is a significant advantage to keep an eye on your home from anywhere with an internet connection.
    5. Solar-Powered: Solar panel allows for continuous operation without the need for frequent battery replacements or manual recharging.
    6. 360 Pan: Ability to pan 360 degrees provides extensive coverage, allowing to monitor a wide area without the need for multiple cameras. This feature enhances the camera’s versatility and effectiveness in home monitoring.

Keeping in view it’s price range, please do not expect advanced features such as auto pan, tilt, and zoom functionality.

Overall, I consider the ieGeek Solar Security Camera as a versatile security camera well suited for my home security.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our Users.(update Camera was so good I ordered a second one . And both cameras have never lost their charge so solar panel is keeping them charged… very happy . Would recommend them to any one )

Easy to set up, picks up wifi really good, and quality on picture is great . So far the solar Panel has kept it charged for over a week so , so far so good

Can connect more of the same camera to the app to so getting more for other areas.

The only con is , and is ,I got a wired/wifi version to and I couldn’t connect it to same software so had to use the app version, not the one I had on pc,even though both cameras were on same network, and was same brand .

Thought this was very odd .as if it’s same company’s cameras on same network,I would have thought they would connect to same software and not need their own software to work. So 4 stars els would give more.

If any one from company reads this please contact me ,would like all cameras from igeek on same app /software.
