Made from recycled materials this is a great quality Jigsaw. There were no pieces missing and they fitted together nicely and had been cut/finished well, no pieces were stuck together due to not being cut out correctly.
The back of the pieces shows which quarter of the picture they belong to if you need a little help or are giving to a younger person.
Not the hardest jigsaw to put together but you can tell that from the picture with the large different blocks of colours. This makes this a nice fun jigsaw to complete without having to spend 30 minutes pondering where a particular piece goes like the baked bear or jelly bean type jigsaws. If this looks like a jigsaw you fancy trying then there’s no reason not to buy it

The most important bit…..no missing pieces! The puzzle has some challenging areas with the various greenery, sky and water.
Whilst it’s not the most challenging I’ve ever done it’s certainly good enough for most.
The pieces feel well made although a couple started to peel on the nib but folded back in place fine.
The back of the pieces are labelled with the quadrant they belong in so you can almost approach this as four 250 piece jigsaws if that makes life a little easier. The full size picture is also useful as the picture on the front of the box is small making it more of a challenge for some.
I really enjoyed solving this over the course of 3 evenings and will pass this on to my jigsaw loving family. Definitely worth the price.
This jigsaw consists of good quality pieces, with a varied cut that I’d like to think makes each piece a unique shape. The grid of letters written on the backs of the pieces helps to organise them and put them together, if you’re the type of person who wants or needs that extra help.
This puzzle comes with a full-sized poster of the picture. The box itself is no bigger than it needs to be. The image itself is nice to look at, with a few tricky bits such as the thatched roofs. The puzzle is made from recycled material, which is nice.
Immerse yourself in the picturesque charm of Giethoorn, a stunning village in the Netherlands, with this enchanting 1000-piece jigsaw puzzle. Created to provide a delightful challenge for adults and children, this puzzle is entertaining and educational. This decorative game is perfect for spending quality time at home and serves as an excellent gift option.
PROS
-a lovely, detailed, image (though the thatch is pretty uniform, quite a challenge)
-decent quality cuts (so it’s easy to tell of a piece really belongs attached to a different piece)
-1:1 scale poster of the final image
-has lettered zones on the back, to help with organising and solving
-reasonably priced
CONS
-cardboard is tiny bit thin for my tastes, I’m not sure how durable this puzzle will be (I share my puzzles with a group of friends, so it’ll endure a lot of putting together/taking apart))
MY STAR RATINGS:
1* substandard, mostly cons
2** barely acceptable, cons outweigh the pros
3*** meets the basic requirements, cons balance the pros
4**** good product, pros outweigh the cons
5***** exceptional, all (or almost all) pros
This Giethoorn Netherlands jigsaw puzzle is really pretty and an enjoyable puzzle to complete.
The puzzle has one thousand pieces which makes it a bit of a challenge and is good for older children or adults. The puzzle pieces are a good thickness and they feel string enough that they won’t break or bend easily. The pieces go together nicely and the print is nice and bold which adds to the enjoyment of the puzzle.
There are letters on the back of the pieces to help complete the puzzle but I find this a bit pointless and I’d rather not look at these so they make no difference to me.
I have done a few puzzles from this brand before and they don’t disappoint, I’d definitely order more designs in the future as they are lovely to do and nice quality.
I love this jigsaw because it comes in a much smaller box than your usual 1000 piece jigsaws so it takes up less space when storing it.
It has a lovely image of a house in Holland which has lots of different details but still many of the same colour so it makes this quite challenging.
The pieces are good quality – very thick cardbaord which almost feels like plastic it’s that thick. This means they slot together well and are also robust when pulling them apart – they don’t rip or bend.
There are letters of the alphabet on the back which correspond to whereabouts in the jigsaw they fit, this is helpful if you need some tips to get you going if you get stuck!
This is a good jigsaw puzzle. It’s well made and the pieces fit together nicely (not too tight but still secure). The printing of the picture (a Dutch canal scene from the town of Giethoorn) is bright and well proportioned and looks very pretty. Putting it together was fine. I have only done a quarter of this so far but it was an enjoyable experience. It’s not too hard and even if you get a little stuck you can just look at the back of the piece to make sure your piece is from the right section as it has A,B,C,D printed on the back with each of the letters corresponding to a different quarter of the puzzle.
A nice puzzle, relaxing and good value. Recommended. I can’t wait to finish this.
The ‘jigsaw puzzles for adults 1000, theme – Giethoorn Netherlands’ arrived in a printed box.
The pieces of this puzzle are sealed in a bag on arrival and when tipped into the lid or base, expand to fill the available space so much that is probably better to share the pieces between the lid and base.
The pieces have letters on the rear, which seems to be common these days, this identifies the pieces to a region of the picture, making it a bit easier especially for jigsaws that have a lot of one colour or similar pattern such as sky and water.
If the jigsaw is to be completed by a small group of people the pieces could be segregated into their letters for each person to work on their own section.
The pieces of the jigsaw fit tightly together so if a piece is loose; it may not be the right piece for that location.
As the picture provided for reference is of a 1:1 scale matching pieces can be simplified by placing them on top of the picture, as can be seen in some of my photographs.
There are two things that would make this jigsaw better in my mind, with the first being a slightly larger box to return the pieces to once dismantled, and secondly a resealable bag to hold the pieces to reduce the risk of any being lost.
This adult jigsaw is well made, pieces fit together nicely and not too much dust in the box. Having the ABCD on the reverse side makes it easier if you want/need to sort the sections out. The Dutch scene with canal and thatched roofs is pretty and well printed onto the pieces. Presented in a nice box making it ideal for gifting and priced at 9.99 at the time of this review
