Normally my daughter doesn’t like to take a bath because she knows she’ll go to sleep afterwards and it was always a struggle to get her to take a bath, but now with these lights everything has changed. She gets excited and plays for a long time.
These light stars are well made, excellent quality, bright, durable, resistant, wonderful colours, great value for money and I highly recommend it.
Brilliant bath toys. The kids love them. They are an absolute hit. They float in the bath and light up. My kids can’t wait until it’s autumn/winter so they can have a bath in the dark with their light up bath toys. Let’s hope they last that long.
These light toys are fab for in water, or used as part of an activity/display. Each star is bright and hold the light well. For the price and the amount you recyve they ate great. Can be used for babies to any age children and genders. Highly recommend for different sensory experiences.
I love these and so does my baby. They are a little small and could pose a choking hazard, so supervision is best.
They are great fun. The moment they hit the water, they change colour due to a couple of sensors on the bottom. They rotate through a series of colours which keeps a baby’s attention.
So far I have used them in a bowl of water for water play, especially on hot days and my baby has enjoyed fishing for them.
I can also see these being wonderful for romantic baths.
Strong durable item that is easy to clean, store and use, Item should last a long time and is a nice colour. The item arrived quickly and on time in full, in nice packaging.
These look quite nice, and they do light up reliably when in contact with water. They’re a very good shape and size for little hands. My 4.5 month old enjoys playing with them. They light up nicely in the bath, float, and cycle through different colours.
But they’re quite dim for playing outdoors with. They only just noticeably light up, even under a gazebo outdoors. They look very nice in the dark, but the images make them look much brighter than they really are. They are also completely sealed with no way of changing the batteries so they are effectively single use plastic.
The lights are soft and not too harsh, which is perfect for babies and toddlers, including those with sensory sensitivities or autism. The toys are also durable and waterproof, holding up well even with regular use.
We did have some light up ice cubes as bath toys but eventually they cracked or water leaked inside of them so they eventually ran of batteries. These feel like they will last much longer, the sealed unit of these feels much better built. They have a smooth feel and more robust to withstand toddler play. They light up really bright in water and cycle through all the colours in the rainbow. They’re a good size for small hands and really attractive for sensory water play. I’d highly recommend this set for fun bath time play. Automatically switches off when out of the water and on when it’s wet.
There are 12 small stars in the box that light up when placed in water. They look gorgeous and my Autistic Nephew enjoyed putting them in and taking them out of the water to watch the lights turn on and off. It is such a shame that they have such a short life span and that they are not rechargeable, very disappointing really as they are not very environmentally friendly, but they do look good and are lots of fun.
They come in a nice looking box so would make a lovely gift in my opinion.
My grandchildren love a bath but we no longer have bath toys and rather than my daughter bringing hers up when she comes to stay with the children, nearly 1, 4, 7 I thought these would be perfect for their 2 week stay. The box says better life is 12 hours and automatically switches off when not in use (dry) so as long as I remember to dry them off after each use they should last the course
Priced 10.99 at the time of this Amazon Vine review, this set of twelve light up stars arrive in a decorated cardboard box which would be suitable for gifting as is. The stars are each slightly bigger than a 50 pence and are a couple of centimetres thick. They are made from rigid plastic and are both clear with a crystal design inside. There are two sensors on the bottom which are activated by water or by pressing on them with your thumb. The stars go through a range of colours when activated. The colours are very pretty thanks to the crystal ‘effect’ or design within each star. On the back of the box, it says they will last for 12 hours of use — it is good they provide this information as it is is not always the case. In fact, even when these stars no longer light up, they are still very attractive. Although the listing suggests these are aimed at younger children, I think these stars would appeal to most ages. I would prefer they be a few pounds cheaper, but am pleased with this product and am happy to recommend.
These are really cute bath toys, nicely boxed, inside there are 12 star lights of various colours. It’s good that they don’t light up until they are in water and they go off when taken out, it helps preserve the battery as you cannot replace this unfortunately. The stars themselves are perfect size for little ones to hold, not too small that they can get them in their mouths but not too big, the edges are nice and smooth too. I do think 13.99 is a little pricey and I would have hoped for 1 per light at most, however, if your child enjoys sensory toys and you are looking for something like this for water play then they are a good purchase.
The toys are made from a hollow hard plastic case, and filled with what looks like bits of jelly like squashed up water beads. They light up on contact with water and will turn of when dried. They cycle slowly through different colours.
They work very well as toys, but the plastic seems quite thin, and I am a little apprehensive that they might crack and spill the contents out when my children are playing with them, so I don’t allow them to be played with unsupervised.
Each light apparently has a 12 hour lifespan and has non-replaceable batteries, which means they are fairly wasteful and not very environmentally friendly.
