I have purchased many JSAUX products over the last 4 years and these were exactly what I wanted, or so I thought.
These look good, are very compact compared to every other similar product, but the downside? They’re USB2 speed, NOT USB3 as I thought. Read the description properly! I misread the description of 3.1A to mean it was USB3.1, it’s not.
Still, I like them, and they are useful for lower powered devices like MIDI keyboards, Microphones, headsets, etc. They work, but why have a USB-C device plugged into a USB-2 port? Makes no sense, unless you are in the kind of situation that requires it.
I really liked these adapters and hoped JSAUX made some USB-3 versions, but was disappointed to find they don’t, at least not as compact or good looking as these ones.
Very small adapter that lets you use USB C devices with your older USB 2 hubs.
Comes in a pack of 4 and it does work very well, no drop outs in charging, not a problem to sync or back up to a USB 2 equipped computer from a brand new iPad M2 or M4 processor. The charging will only be as fast as the cable you buy/use, the supplied ones are usually adequate – if you buy say a 240w USB C cable, it will undoubtedly increase the quickness of the charging because it can accommodate more power required by the device to complete faster charge times.
It is also small so that it fits snugly alongside other USB 2 cables without sticking out more, or looking out of place next to others in the hub.
Charge/Sync only, not for video or audio.
Just what I needed as my house has usb power sockets and all my family have usb-c type phones so they needed the type c usb to use the sockets. Thanks!
We changed all our plug sockets over to ones that also had USB-A charging slots – only for USB-C to be introduced!
So, these little adapters are a godsend and mean we don’t have to change the sockets, but simply attach one of these to each USB-C charging lead to convert it to USB-A.
At time of review, there is 20% off this pack of 4, making them 2 each, which is a bargain.
I am extremely pleased with them.
