This mount should be described as sticks like s*** to a blanket. So good it almost rips my Samsung S24 Ultra out of my hand. That’s how good the magnet is.
Once the phone is attached I guarantee that it’s not going anywhere no matter how many pot holes you drive over.
It looks good and it doesn’t stick out like a sore thumb unlike the normal clamp style phone holder.
I’ll be honest I didn’t think it would stick to my dash as it is slightly cushioned slightly curved and has a pitted design. So it doesn’t adhere to many things. But this sticks like glue. It’s not even moved in the hot weather.
If I could give more stars I would.
I would actually say I highly recommend no matter what the cost is.

I have purchased a few products by LISEN recently and they are simply a top quality brand. This MagSafe car mount is another great example of the quality of their products. They not only make excellent products but their packaging is normally very stylish as well. All the packaging normally has a similar look and feel to it. They keep it simple yet stylish, and most, if not all, off their products will make excellent gifts as they are really well priced for the quality of product you get.
This MagSafe car mount is definitely in line with everything that I have said about the LISEN brand. It looks like it’s made from metal but it’s actually made from ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene), which is a very strong thermoplastic which is rigid where you want it to be, but it’s also flexible and very durable. It can withstand really high shock loads and impacts, and it doesn’t conduct electricity, and that is what makes it ideal for use as a car mount.
The way this is designed is such that you can have it at virtually any position or angle that you desire. Not only does the base turn all the way around in a 360 degrees motion, but the arm also comes out so you can either have it totally flat or raised at any angle in between being flat or totally upright. The advert doesn’t state what type of magnets this has, but they are so strong that I have never seen anything like it. I can only assume this uses Neodymium magnets, which are the strongest raw material magnets you can get. However, even these are available in different grades, and most of the strongest car mounts have been using grade N52 up until the end of last year and the beginning of 2024, but the latest certified grading of N55 is now available in some car mounts and other accessories. The magnets on this definitely feel much stronger than a N52 car mount that I already have so the ones in here must be grade N55 as there isn’t a higher grade than this that I am aware of.
Even the Nano 3M adhesive used on the double sided sticky pad that you stick this down on the dashboard with claims it can withstand over 66 lbs and has excellent heat resistance and dissipation which helps it cope with the extreme temperatures we can get in the UK so this should stay put once stuck down firmly.
Taking everything into consideration, including the price, this has easily got to be my favourite dash mountable car holder to date.
I really enjoyed this car mobile phone mount and its sleekness and versatility. The adhesive pads seemed like great quality. The magnets are plenty strong for my iPhone and case. I’ve shown this to all my friends and family and they have ordered it as well. Excellent item for nice price.

From the moment I unboxed the product, I was impressed with the thoughtful design and quality materials used. There was really only one feature that drew me to this holder and that was the magnet. I do have a magnetic holder and although it does normally hang on to the phone it is mot infallible and, if knocked, the phone and stand can part company. This magnet looked a bit bigger that my other one and, according to the videos, was going to hold on to the phone even if shaken. It looked promising.
Also the rotating arm was going to be useful so that when I just wished the phone out of the way it could be pushed round so that I could get unobstructed access to other stuff on my chairside table which is where the holder will be used. In that respect I do like the wide range of angles the unit can be set to. Most of the other holders I have used have had a ball and socket joint that anchors the clamp to the arm and they are quite restrictive on how they can be set.
The unit feels like quality and looks very snazzy and unobtrusive when folded up when not in use. I do like the smart gun metal finish. The whole unit seems robust and built to last. In use the movements are good and precise and I don’t envisage experiencing any unwanted drift.
My phone case has a metal ring on the back and the holder worked perfectly with it, but a matching ring is supplied for those customers who wish to use the bracket with a phone that is in a case that doesn’t already have the ring. I found the degree of magnetism to be incredible. The unit really held my phone very securely and only the most determined shaking was able to dislodge it.
19.99 isn’t the cheapest option out there but if you want a really secure magnetic system them that premium price may be worth paying.
The LISEN MagSafe car mount is pretty darn good. It has a comprehensive included accessories to cover a whole range of mounting options. They’ve thoughtfully included a steel ring and fitting guide for non-MagSafe equipped phones. The additional 3M-backed base plate offers a more secure base for dash mounting where dash real estate isn’t an issue. The only issue I found when finding a suitable installation for my car is that the rotatable base can’t perform a 360 degree turn. The raised pivot point between base and arm fouls a couple of raised areas on my dash. Hence the loss of a star. May not be an issue after all, IF a correct and safe viewing position is found. Once set up, and Ive got it just right, I don’t see me wanting to spin my phone around. Just be absolutely sure you get it right first time. (There is another 3M sticky in the kit though if you do get it wrong)
Magnetic power is really good and does hold my cased phone securely.

The MagSafe car mount arrived boxed together with cleaning wipes for the surface that you are attaching it to, a metallic ring to fix to your phone if yours is not MagSafe ready or if you wish to attach it to a phone case. The base of the mount has an adhesive pad attached and there is a further, larger diameter base, also with an adhesive pad. There is also a placement guide if attaching the metallic ring and finally a brief instruction manual. Note that this is a magnetic phone holder rather than charger so doesn’t include a charging cable.
It is a strongly made metallic item and the magnet is strong so should hold the phone even with a good degree of jostling. The magnet is on a double hinged bracket so can be positioned flexibly in relation to the mounting point.
I wasn’t clear as to the purpose of the additional mounting plate as I know that other similar mounts simply fix directly to the car dashboard (or wherever). Maybe the purpose will be obvious to you but to me it seems an unnecessary extra bit of fiddling to get it installed. As the fixed baseplate needs to be attached to this with its adhesive pad, it cannot be to give it extra stability. Maybe it is simply an aesthetic extra!
The current price of 16.99 with a 20% voucher makes the price reasonable compared to others on the Amazon site. If the voucher is removed it will be slightly pricier.
In summary, it is a well made and robust item with a very good magnet. It is neither unique nor brilliant value however so I will give it a 4 star rating.
