This is a handy device for all weather riders, it’s going to be waterproof in most instances when the rubber sealing cap is in place. If you are like me you’ll probably poly bag anything auxiliary like this anyways just to be sure there is no water ingress whether you have a device plugged in or not.
The push fit mountings have enough of a grip to not worry about the main body coming away from the mounting, one thing I would say is the fact that it’s un-fused, it’s down to you to figure this out which is no big problem but adds extra cost and joints to the fitting.
