Had a moth infestation and although this didn’t kill the larvae it certainly killed the adult moths, but I did have to use it with powder as the moth larvae chewed holes in the carpet.
So you want a product to kill moths then this does it but what I would say is do it when you are leaving the room as the whole family were coughing one night when I doused the wardrobe in it as the one we had before this one was very human friendly so I presumed this would be the same! But it did do the job and get rid of the moths.
Rather than hanging the moth deterrents and hoping for the best, the spray lets you handle it directly if you see a moth in your home
If you’re happy to kill, then it is pretty easy to use and gets the job done. It’s a spray in a normal cleaning spray size bottle with trigger operating just like any cleaning spray, very easy and simple
The Moth Killer & Repellent Spray is a highly effective solution for dealing with moths both indoors and outdoors. It kills on contact, making it perfect for use in wardrobes and on carpets. My wife loves its immediate results and ease of use. The organic, pesticide-free formulation ensures safety for our family, which is a major plus. Suitable for all types of moths, this spray offers versatility and reliability. The 500ml bottle provides a generous amount, albeit not very cheap. Overall, it’s a safe, effective, and handy addition to our pest control routine.
This moth killer spray comes in a ready to use spray bottle, packaged in a sealed bag. I’m not that keen on the smell of it but it doesn’t linger.
I got in touch with the seller, W H Limited, just to make sure it had no toxins in it as I am asthmatic and prone to allergic reactions, and they were very friendly and helpful, and replied quickly, so I have no hesitation in recommending the company, and I am happy with the product and have had no reactions using it.
It does kill moths, but not instantly, and it hasn’t stained anything I have sprayed, but I cannot say how and if it prevents future infestations as there is no information on this and I always like to take steps to prevent them before they become a major problem.
This moth killer spray claims to be based on organic ingredients which I want for peace of mind for myself and those around me.
It is effective in direct application to the target but I don’t know if it works preventively by spraying surfaces – I assume it does but I need to see how we get on.
WHAT IS IT FOR?
A spray for killing and discouraging all types of moths, using organic materials and free of synthetic pesticides.
IN THE BOX
* The Moth Killer Spray Gun, in a zip lock bag
USING
The spray gun is of a familiar type: give it a shake, rotate the nozzle to turn it on and squeeze the trigger to spray. There are two spray settings, I’d call them spray (at a target) and mist (around an area); both useful.
The spray has a smell, but it’s not unpleasant; a bid astringent (sharp) and medical but also plant-like. Rather like a pile of fir tree needles that’s been left to compost for a while. The smell doesn’t linger for long.
And does it work? Not entirely sure. I’ve mainly used it in an area of a bedroom that’s usually a moth hotspot. If I spray a moth on the wing it lands and crawls around – as if I’d sprayed it with water – and stops moving a few minutes later. It certainly doesn’t kill moths right away, unlike most synthetic pesticides. The bedroom where I’ve been spraying (1 or 2 times a day) still produces the occasional moth, but fewer than expected. So it must be working, albeit not an instant or 100% effect.
BEST BITS
+ Works fairly well as a moth killer and discourager
+ Fairly pleasant smell
+ Organic/natural materials
+ Two spray patterns
+ No propellants
+ Big bottle, which is recyclable
WORST BITS – nothing much!
– Results aren’t instant or dramatic
– Fairly expensive
– Packaging does not disclose anything about what’s in the bottle
CONCLUSION
Initially uncertain how effective this product is, as the results aren’t dramatic, but inclined to believe after using it for 2 weeks. So, an organic moth killer that smells quite nice, in a sensible spray bottle. Well worth 4 stars.
This is very easy to use. Just spray where required.
There is no noticeable smell which was my main worry and it is free from pesticides so safe around pets.
I haven’t spotted any moths since I used it.
Not sure what’s going on this year, but we have noticed a lot more moths than usual, so we wanted to treat the issue before it got worse and clothes and soft furnishings were attacked.
The product comes in a typical trigger hand spray bottle with twist on/off nozzle, which is good as it ensures you don’t lose any of the precious liquid through accidental pressing. There is a fragrance which isn’t unpleasant, compared to previous productsI’ve used which have a very overpowering artificial scent.
So far the results seem to be good as since spraying this repellent we haven’t noticed any moths, that was about 7 days ago, so hopefully this has done the trick.
This spray is expensive, so we will definitely be using it sparingly.
I ordered this Moth Killer & Repellent Spray for use in wardrobes and on carpets which the moths seem to love in 2 of our bedrooms. The spray is advertised as non-pesticide and organic. It has a pleasant smell compared to other sprays that I have used. Have sprayed the areas twice and so far it seems to be working.
We started using this during the week, until recently we found several notes most nights. We sprayed this as well as laying out traps and the problem has dropped significantly. The spray is way to use and pretty much odourless, leaves no stain on bedding or clothes so we are very happy. I think it’s used best with the traps so it’s 4 stars but still recommended.
This seems to work well on teh little moths that can’t seem to get enough of our carpets. For catching the little blighterrs in flight, this seems less wasteful that tha aerosol options, which perhaps goes some way to offsetting what is quite a high price.
he change in weather has brought with it a horde of moths into my bedroom and it’s been a nightmare to catch and remove all of them. so far this spray has done away with the handful brave enough to show their faces and I’ve been able to spray it in a number of locations to dissuade them from taking harbor there and multiplying.
it has a bearable odour and a quick patch test confirmed it was safe to use on our textiles and surfaces before applying.
it’s quite pricey but if it does the job long term then i’ll be convinced it’s worth the cost.
We had quite a few moths in our house but weren’t sure where they came from so ordered this. On returning from being away we found quite a few moths all in one area of a room and tried this and it killed all the moths. From reading the instructions it is really not clear whether it will kill any eggs but it talks about coating the moth being the mechanism of killing it. 24 hours after I have treated them and also sprayed the carpet and curtain near where they were, there is no sign of any new moths but I don’t know how long any eggs would take to hatch. There is obvious visible residue on a furniture item near where I sprayed and some moths needed quite a bit of spraying. Does seem slightly expensive.
It’s too early to tell if this moth spray has worked. I’m hoping that it has as I’m sick and tired of dealing with moths.
It comes with in a 500ml bottle with a spray nozzle attachment.
The spray is easy to use. I’ve been using it in places where the moths hang out and make baby moths.
The quality seems ok so far but I’ll have to wait and see.
The cost is expensive, hence why I dropped a star. It could be cheaper.
I tried not to get too close and smell it. I’ve got asthma so I’m scared of what smelling/inhaling the product might do. I spray it whilst wearing a mask.
I’ll update my review once I’ve had a chance to see if it works.
I like it because it’s not like a pesticide that makes me cough.
This one does not effecty throat or my nostrils.
The fragrance is similar to lavander (that I personally do not like).
It works but since it does not contain pesticide, it takes more time of course.
This Pest Purge lMoth Killer and Repellent Spray has already been put to good use in our household. We noticed tiny carpet moths on our stair carpet so I sprayed, left the carpet until the next day, then hoovered and sprayed again. It seems to have worked. This carpet is shortly being replaced anyway, but we were worried about new carpets getting infested too so will treat those also. It’s too soon to say if the problem has been completely resolved, but if they really have disappeared for good, I’ll be back with the other star.
This will be great to deal with moths as they get into the bedroom at night.
You just spray them directly. It states this will have an immediate effect.
It is a non-pesticide organic formula that apparently coats the moths to neutralise them – this might mean you need to make sure they get a good coverage – will need to watch out in case the liquid also stains walls etc.
It has a shelf life to 4/26.
I do feel it is quite pricey at 14 a bottle.
