Ordered and installed quickly.
The filters are effective in what they are advertise – the filter out the dust and rubbish from being pulled into the PC via the fan.
You can see on the filter the amount of dust that it collects, which in turn stops it from entering the PC case and settling on the internal components. The filters are easy to wash out and clean.
Good price and effective – top job!!
Simple to install these 120cm pc fan dust covers work well. The fine mesh capturing a lot of dust and debris. Preventing it from entering the pc and interfering with performance.
Provided are the housing and filters to put over your cooling fans to ensure that no dust gets inside your pc or sounds system.
The screw holes are at the standard screw fittings and the filter and cover fit nicely. There definitely is a noticeable difference in the build up of dust inside the computer and sound system, however there is also a noticeable build-up on the filters which are easily cleaned with a vacuum cleaner and even with washing the filters.
Definitely worth getting and installing to save cleaning the inside of your delicate computer and sound system
Very easy to fit.
The cover can be removed after installation to clean out the filter.
Filter is very effective but doesn’t reduce airflow much.
Perfect for reducing dust build up in PC cooling radiators.
Would like to see these available for 140mm fans.
We’re currently in the process of rebuilding our server room and as such needed new fans, covers, grills, meshes etc.
These are great and should help keep the inside of our cabinet reasonably dust free. A non-restrictive mesh shouldn’t restrict airflow but should help keep the dust out and these look like they’ll do a great job.
Came well protected in a mylar bubble wrap bag with all the screws you need.
Good quality product!
I quite like these filters since they are very easy to fit (fixing screws are provided) and blend in well with my black PC case. I have them fitted to the utside of my case, although I suppose it would be possible to also fit these onto the inside for an even neater look.
Time will tell how well these stop the ingress of dust into my system, but after a few days they have already accumulated a good amount. I even think there might be a VERY slight drop in decibels from the fans, due to the foam insert of this filter (however, this may be subjective and is only my take on the matter).
Good value at the current price of 9.99, I feel these filters are worth considering.
Recently I bought two 120mm fans for my media centre cabinet to keep my media theatre equipment, consoles and networking gear all cool. They came with metal guards to protect things like wires and fingers from entering the fan blades but they don’t do anything to prevent dust from entering the cabinet. One fan is used as an intake to pull in fresh cool air and the other is used as an exhaust. The problem is that the intake fan keeps bringing in lots of dust and there was no way to fix this… until now. In the past, I used magnetic mesh filters that affected airflow but didn’t reduce the dust. But with these Nivithidust filters the problem is solved.
These are sleek, low-profile dust filters that sit over the fans to prevent dust from passing through. They look nice when attached to the fans and don’t add any additional bulk. Installation is simple and these attach to the fan with screws – so you won’t have to worry about them falling off.
What I like most about these is that they have a layer of foam that acts as the filter which doesn’t impact airflow as much and is more effective at catching dust. However, the downside with foam is that it is harder to clean so I worry about having to do that in a few months. The foam also dampens the vibrations from the fan and reduces the sound of the fan which is another benefit of the filter.
All in all, for 7.99, I cannot find much to fault about these other than the fact that they didn’t come with any literature to show the installation process or the fact that they didn’t come with any screwdrivers to screw the faceplates to the fan.
I really like these 120mm fan dust covers! I reviewed the chrome guards recently so really pleased i got these too as they look really smart and protects your fans from small parts damaging the fan plus dust etc.
These where such good value when i saw the price, so are the guards you can get for these.
Great value and great items, I would easily recommend them…
