Purchased for camper van. Worked really well, used very little power. Was able to use for 4 weeks off grid with 120w solar panel. Not that noisy. Great bit of kit.
We researched carefully prior to purchasing this item, as we wanted a compact compressor fridge for day camping in our Vivaro van. The fridge gets down to just above zero in about 30 minutes and is very frugal on power, easily running from a 100 watt solar panel on the average summers day, via a budget 600 watt hour battery storage system. We have stocked it with 12 x 330ml fizzy drink cans, 3 x bottles of lager, a bottle of prosecco, milk and butter and still had space to spare!
It’s better than expected. I have it on for 8 hours a day plugged in to the 12v cigarette socket. It’s chilled within minutes and can go down to minus. It’s as good as my fridge at home.
Did have my doubts at first thinking it’s not going to be that good for under 90, glad to say my fears so far have been unfounded
I’ve got it hooked up in the car and my battery is not brilliant and had to set the cut off voltage for battery to low and its been on ever since with no issues. Temp is set to 0 as it fluctuates between-1 & 2 I assume to keep it at the desired temp. If your on a tight budget then grab this while you ca
Let it sit for 24hrs tried it at 7 C over the next 12 hrs. It went from 2to7C.Next I went from setting it at-18
it went from-18 to-16 . And the water in it froze so it seems to work OK .Lett see what happens in the long term, I’m happy with it so far 10 out of 10.
