This backpack has been my trusty companion for work trips and weekend getaways. The expandable storage is a lifesaver when I need to squeeze in a few extra items, and the water-resistant material gives me peace of mind during unpredictable weather. While the design is simple, it’s surprisingly stylish and fits in at both the office andtheairport.
Very pleased with this lovely quality rucksack. It looks great and is smart enough to take into the office. It is really well designed with thoughtful and accessible compartments making it very convenient and easy to store items. I haven’t had need yet to expand it to its larger capacity but the size it offers looks like it will meet my needs for overnight business travel. The padded straps are comfortable to wear and the top handle makes it easy for grabbing and setting down on the train. Very pleased and recommended.
This business laptop backpack is a well-thought-out choice for professionals on the go. Its design focuses on functionality without compromising on style. The backpack offers ample storage space for laptops, documents, and other essentials, with compartments that help keep everything organized. The material is durable and water-resistant, making it suitable for all weather conditions. Comfort is prioritized with padded straps and back support, ensuring ease during long commutes or travels. While the design is practical, it could benefit from more padding to protect delicate electronics fully. Overall, it’s a dependable companion for those needing a blend of professionalism and convenience in their daily routines.
I received this product through the Amazon Vine programme and this review is based on my own opinions.
I was looking for a rucksack and luck for me this popped up. I’m not sure I would have gone for this at the advertise 57 (now listed at a better 51.29) but I have to say I am impressed. The PU leather finish is nice and outside of the Ponhog name all looks very stylish. The compartments are well thought out and the zips all seem like good quality. I like the expansion option for when the rucksack isn’t so full and I whole bag works for pleasure as well as business. The straps are all sturdy and I like the carry handle. This is also the first bag I have had with an external usb socket so I can pop my battery back in the rucksack and connect to a usb a port on the outside. I would have thought of spend 50 on a rucksack in the past but after spending some time with this one I would in future.
Costing 57.00 at time of review, this isn’t a ‘cheap’ expandible backpack, however I think the build quality and materials used just about reflect its price tag. There’s a couple of things I’d like to have seen differently, but overall, it’s a nice bag.
Made from quite a heavy, padded outer which, while not being waterproof, looks like it would keep out any rain I’m ever likely to be standing in the bag certainly feels sturdy enough.
The main zipper and those on all the pockets don’t look like they’re waterproof, with the reflective zipper on the outward facing pocket being the only one with a waterproof cover.
While the rear of the backpack has some breathable material and a couple of raised ‘ventilation channels’, there’s no wicking or breathable material on the inside of the shoulder straps. Instead, they have a kind of waterproof nylon cover on the light padding which feels comfortable enough.
On the inside, there’s two padded sleeves that are joined, with one being for a laptop and the other intended for a tablet. When worn, both devices would be carried closest to your back, so weight distribution should be reasonably even.
There’s a USB-A cable that leads to a USB-A socket stitched on the outside of the bag and this is what I didn’t like.
I’ve seen this before and while I get what the manufacturer is trying to give you it’s just over engineered. I’d much rather have a small self-sealing hole somewhere on the bag that would let you pop a USB-C cable through to the outside, rather than having to plug a cable into an external socket.
This is intended to be connected to a power bank, however there’s no internal sleeve to take a power bank? It’s a small thing, but I have other bags that have an external USB-A socket stitched to them, but they have an internal sleeve/pocket that keeps the power bank in the one place. This one doesn’t.
I did like the Velcro fasteners on either side of the internal compartment though. They let the bag ‘hang open’ so you can reach in without everything falling out, or you can ‘un-Velcro’ them and open the bag fully for packing/unpacking.
It was quite a nice wee feature that worked pretty well.
This bag is well made and looks good, with some nice little splashes of colour on the zip pulls. It’s comfortable to carry and having the Velcro means it can be used more like a backpack as well as a cabin bag.
When closed the expansion panel is pretty much invisible and when open it provides you with some decent additional space.
Ditch the external USB-A socket and bring the price down just a little and this would be a winner.
This is a decent backpack. It looks smart and is of excellent quality. It is versatile. Can be used regularly for work but also for recreational travel. The section for a laptop has a strap fastening to keep it secure, no chance of mishap if the open bag gets knocked over, the laptop should remain secure. A particularly nice touch is the extra zip that allows compression of the bag if you do not need to use the entire capacity. Only time will tell if the quality of this backpack justifies its rather high price.
My family have quite a few travel bags, but this is the best.
It is smart enough looking to be suitable for business meetings, but not so stuffy that you could not use it for holidays. It just looks an suggests quality with great attention to detail. Such as:
The place for a water bottle.
The waterproof zip at the front.
The secret pocket which goes to your back, say for a passport.
The USB connector point for ease of use.
A multitude of places to store things.
I have a 17″ laptop that does not normally fit bags, but here no problem.
Unusually it expands out or not as you need. Essentially playing the role of a cabin bag rather than under seat bag.
Shoulder and top lifting straps.
Should be water resistant. It is possible for water to get in slowly at most of the zip points, especially if submerged, but should keep things largely dry during normal rain.
Currently there is a big discount so with that its really not more expensive than more of lesser quality.
This laptop rucksack offers a lot of space so is ideal for the commuter who wants to pack everything they need in to the one bag. It has an expanding section which you can zip closed if so much space not required. The design is simple but classy being mostly charcoal in colour with flashes of turquoise. There are a number of zipped compartments to help organise your things plus padded dividers inside to separate and protection your laptop and tablet. The backpack also has a charge port on the side so you can hook up to a connected power bank (not supplied) if needed. All in all a decent enough bag.
