POWEROWL – CR2 3V Lithium Battery, Pack of 6, High Capacity CR2 3 Volt Batteries Cell for Use in Sensors, Photo Flash and Flashlights
So far these seem like good replacement CR2 batteries to me. I use them with my camera so they don’t need replaced often. With this in mind the fact these claim a 10 year shelf life is pretty good.
Fit is good, they look reasonable enough quality, and seem to have plenty of power, so I’ve got no complaints.
I needed a pack of CR2 batteries for my home alarm system. They come completely sealed and works fine. These are packs of the same size batteries which is good as I needed the same size for all my sensors.
The battery power seems to be fine and the quality of the battery is good, however I cannot comment how long it will last which I will find in few month.
We have a wireless alarm and this is the battery used in the sensors.
These are non-rechargeable and are better value than some of the branded ones on the market. These are high capacity at 1000mAH so should last around a year in my sensors.
I like how they have a long shelf life as this is the type of battery we occasionally need to change but always handy to have in; especially as our alarm has a nasty habit of informing us of a low battery in the middle of the night! I mean EVERY TIME!
Good value.
The batteries seem to be of good quality. The ones I have replaced to date are still functioning so the new batteries are doing their job at the moment.
I will of course update the review if the batteries lose charge prematurely.
If you are looking for replacement CR2 cells then these are good value.
4 stars.
These Powerowl CR2 lithium batteries not only look great but also perform great. I purchased them to put them in my motion sensors for my home alarm. I have 6 sensors so this 6 pack worked out perfectly and cost me a lot less than the top well known brand.
A standard CR2 Lithium battery has a capacity of 850 mAh. The top branded ones that everyone knows of have a 950 mAh capacity. These Powerowl CR2 batteries leaves the rest behind with a whopping 1000 mAh capacity. I replaced all my alarms motion sensor batteries with these just under a month ago and they have been working absolutely fine since. Obviously it will take a long period of time to determine if they really are longer lasting than the others, but the signs are very promising indeed.
This blister pack which comes with 6 batteries is only 9.99. When you take into consideration that a standard set of these batteries costs your more and has less capacity, you can quickly work out that these are really good value for money. I love the black colour they come in as it just makes them look like they are a superior battery, and I would definitely recommend you give these a try as I am certainly impressed and will be getting these in future.
I have a number of door sensors around my home which work in conjunction with my security alarm system. They all require a CR2 battery to enable them operate and need to be replaced periodically. These POWEROWL – CR2 3V Lithium Batteries are supplied as a pack of six with a very practical 10 year shelf life. Having fitted some of these batteries to my alarm sensors I did notice that they are a higher capacity than the ones I removed which I’m hoping will allow them to last a bit longer. They are the same physical size as the other CR2 batteries I have used previously and so far they are performing well with my alarm system. Overall very pleased with these replacement batteries and happy to recommend.
PROS
-great long-lasting batteries (or so the specification states)
-not a bad value (especially when compared to name brand)
-super-long shelf-life means they can be stored for a long time, until I need them
-manufacture date is printed (hard to read) on them
CONS
-disposable
NOTES
-these are _not_ rechargeable, don’t try it
MY STAR RATINGS:
1* substandard, mostly cons
2** barely acceptable, cons outweigh the pros
3*** meets the basic requirements, cons balance the pros
4**** good product, pros outweigh the cons
5***** exceptional, all (or almost all) pros
I’m using these in my Instax camera, and they are working as well as any other batteries I have used and seem to be lasting a while so this pack will last me forever.
CR2 Batteries
Powerowl Cr2 Lithium Batteries — 6 Pack
These non rechargeable batteries are commonly used in alarm systems and some older cameras.
They are rated at 3v, I have tested them on a multi-meter with no load and come it at 3.3v which is to be expected, I have them to use in small electronics projects as they will power ESP microcontrollers. Quite Light when compared to the older style CR2s (from the 90s!!!)
10 year shelf means they should be good sit in a drawer until you need them!
I will update the review when they have been in use for a while.
Would recommend, good price, good fit.
These CR2 batteries are right up my alley! They seem to hold a charge for ages, perfect for those bits and bobs that don’t get used every day. Plus, they say they last up to 10 years in storage, so no worries about dodgy old batteries when you finally need one. Even better, they fit perfectly in my gadgets and keep them going strong. For the price, you get a bunch of batteries that’ll last you years – what’s not to love?
This set of six CR2 Lithium batteries from PowerOwl comes packaged in a blister pack on a cardboard backing. The cardboard isn’t perforated, so it can be tricky to cleanly remove the first battery without using scissors.
The batteries match the 3V voltage, dimensions and contact areas of other standard CR2 batteries. They are single-use (i.e. not rechargeable) and have a 1,000mAh capacity. Regular CR2 batteries are typically 800mAh, but these ‘high capacity’ ones give you an extra 25%.
They have a slight indented ridge around the circumference near the top terminal, while there is a date printed around the body near the bottom.
This is date of manufacture and not an expiry date. The manufacturer claims these batteries have a ten year shelf life.
We tested these in some wireless motion sensors where the existing battery levels were below 15% capacity. The new PowerOwl ones immediately showed a 100% battery level and continue to do so several days later.
Our previous ‘own brand’ standard-capacity batteries had a disappointing lifespan when used in these motion sensors. We look forward to seeing how long these high capacity ones last.
These batteries have come in handy with the sensors I have in the house
They seem to be working well and come up as fully charged when checking through my smart app
The other plus is that they have a purported 10yr shelf life which is vital when you may not need batteries straightaway but still want them charged when needed
So they get a high rating for tha
POWEROWL – CR2 3V Lithium Battery, Pack of 6, High Capacity CR2 3 Volt Batteries Cell for Use in Sensors, ….
This is a pack of 3-volt CR2 Lithium batteries, used in various household items like cameras, alarm systems, smoke alarms etc. Although we are getting used to re-charging Lithium batteries, these are NOT rechargeable. They have a rating of 1000mA hours and are designed for low current devices where you would expect the battery to last for years before replacement.
They have a shelf life of 10 years, and the bottom of each battery is marked with the month and year of manufacture, in this case 2024-05, so I can tell these are not old stock. The life of the battery is totally dependent upon the device it is fitted to, but usually such devices designed for these batteries should last a year or 2 before require replacement.
At the current price for this pack of 6 batteries it makes it quite a good deal but there is no way of telling their actual capacity in the short term without wasting them.
Whilst quite an obscure battery for most electricals nowadays, I ordered these lithium batteries specifically for my Contax G2 camera, fit and work as intended and have a ten year shelf life, can’t compare on the longevity as yet but four stars for the fit as intended and providing the power as they should.
Standard blister packaging with six batteries is included.
