I sometimes colour-restore my leather bags that I wear frequently to repair discolouration from scratches. I apply this after applying the colour and it works wonderfully in keeping the leather supple and as good as new. It comes in a generous amount too and a little goes a long way.
Doesn’t have an overly chemical scent to it which is a plus.
Works on any leather really and not just bags. It brought back the life of my sofas that I was on the verge of donating. I’d be happy to recommend.
This is a really good leather conditioner, having left one of my bridles for longer than I would like to say, thoughtI would try this, it has given new life to it! More supple and the nose and brow band look polished. Easy to use, rub in with a cloth then buff. Although quite expensive a little goes a long way so worth the money as a reasonably large bottle. Really brings the colour of leather up and smells fine too.
I cautiously tried this first on a pair of leather shoes that are a couple of years old with good results. Brought the leather back to life very well (see photo). For shoes the results are probably as good as using some sports dubbing or matched colour leather polish.
However, it excels with other leather products like handbags and sofas. Again cautiously tried it on a rear part of the sofa and although the sofa is quite new (one year) it still brought out the leather very well and gave it a shine we didn’t know we’d lost.
A little bit goes quite a long way so the bottle should last a while and us easy to apply and run in.
Seems a little on the expensive side but does have a range of uses. No strong chemical smell either, which is great.
4 stars from me.
We have used this for the car seats and leather dash boards. It keeps the leather nourished and supple and brings it back to life. It’s great to protect the leather from the extremes of the sun and general wear and tear. It makes the seats look lovely and new and smells amazing. Very happy with this and a little product goes a long way so this will last for years even if I applied it once a month
Currently using this conditioner on my leather shoes and it’s doing an excellent job. I’ve had them for several years and while I don’t wear them much (functions mainly) they have been looking a bit tired.
This conditioner brought the life back to them without smelling all that offensive like some other cleaners tend to do. The leather looks great and much, much better than how it looked before.
Very happy.
This little bottle brought spark in my leather sofas. Just need to wipe clean and then with the help of soft cloth I applied small amount on the leather sofa and really it brought a clear difference in the look of my leather sofas. The small scratches disappeared and little shine and smoothness appeared.
Nice leather cleaner. I’ve only used it on fake leather so far. It’s worked well to polish up my sofa and dining chairs. It’s easy to apply, just a tiny dollup on a polishing cloth and wipe away in circular motions. A little bit goes a long way. I like that it comes in a tinted glass bottle.
On applying this on my leather shoes, there was marked improvement on the shine and the general look on it.
It is easy to apply, quick to dry and doesn’t have the sticky aftermath which is pretty good especially for your shoes and sofa. I also tried it on one of my belts too. Best to use on the items which has gotten rough and has the streaks on it, and applying this does take away some of the damages. It is transparent white in colour but not sure what it’s made of, no strong smells.
You get 250ml with this bottle so lasts plenty. Currently priced at 15, which is a decent price for value.
This is looking good so far although I have limited change to do very much as yet.
Good value for the size this is a rich milky cream that goes on the leather well.
I will update further should I have any issues but it has worked well on the small areas that I have done.
Nice cleaner and conditioner.
It is probably best to wear rubber cleaning gloves while using this product because the label states to avoid contact with skin, mouth and eyes.
Application is via a soft cloth or sponge.
It is security sealed across the opening of the bottle. I partially tore the seal to more easily control how much can be dispensed.
There isn’t a distinct fragrance to this product. A possible big benefit for those sensitive to smell and those wanting a product with a very close to neutral scent.
A white liquid which is straightforward to use. Neither too thick nor thin in its consistency. Easy to spread over and be absorbed by leather. There is improvement to the appearance of the leather I applied it to.
A little goes a long way and so a bottle should last quite a while. Although it depends on how many items need an application and their size.
I got this leather cleaner in the hope that it would help cover some of the scratches our cat has made when climbing on the sofa. Unfortunately it didn’t do much for these, but it was really good at removing all the small marks that my usual cleaner can’t seem to shift. It was also quite amazing how much extra dirt it removed too.
The cleaner comes as a fairly runny liquid and is a milky white colour. It doesn’t have much smell and spreads on very easily. After doing a patch test, you simply apply it with a soft cloth, rub it in then remove any excess and leave it to dry. There is no residue left behind and it doesn’t feel sticky at all.
I think it’s competatively priced and although it didn’t do much on the restoring front, it worked well at cleaning the sofa, so overall I’m quite pleased with it.
I got this mainly to clean and restore my various pairs of battered cowboy boots and leather jackets and hats after a wet and muddy winter.
It is a thickish white liquid, with a neutral smell, and I just put a bit on a cloth and rubbed it in. It did take the dirt and grime off, and softened the leather. I left the items to dry and then buffed them up with a dry cloth.
It is a large bottle which will last me for years, and at the current price of 11 I think it is reasonable.
It is made in the UK, which is an added bonus, but I did find it strange that there is no mention of a company or address on the bottle at all. Apart from stating ‘Crafted with care in the UK, there is nothing about the company which makes it, which I find rather odd. Not a big deal, but I just found it strange as I have a habit of always looking to see who has made a product when I buy it (probably just a quirk of mine!).
[I received this product for free, in exchange for an honest review, as part of the Amazon Vine programme. That being said, this review is NOT swayed by that, and (as always) contains only my real thoughts on the product; good and bad.]
I requested the ‘Premium Leather conditioner and cleaner – Restores, Polishes & Protects Car Seats, Sofas’ to try out on a sun damaged leather sofa.
The leather conditioner is packaged in a simple bottle with a secure peel off top to avoid leaks in transit. The liquid inside is not an oil as such, it is an opaque white liquid, with the consistency of yoghurt, so it doesn’t run everywhere and it is easy to control on your cloth. There is not really much of a scent to it, it didn’t change the colour of my sofa cushion (patch test first) and once it has dried there is no sticky residue.
I have enclosed photos of before and after, these are after just 1 application. The leather on the sofa cushion is quite damaged in the before picture and after applying the leather conditioner the cracks appear to shrink. The photo face-on to the cushion shows the treated side on the right.
I was quite sceptical about this product when it first arrived but it has shown itself to be effective when faced with some very damaged leather. I will continue to apply the product to see if it can fully restore my sofa cushions and even if it doesn’t they will be much improved. The price at the time of this review is 11.00, which is a fair price for 250ml, I recommend it. 5 stars.
Does a great job of conditioning the leather with very little residue, however it doesn’t smell nice at all.
I have used to soften up some leather gloves and add some life back into them, works really well, but they do smell a bit now, hoping that it fades over time, it seems to be, or i’m getting used to the smell!
I’ve been searching for a product to clean and restore my favourite leather boots, which were looking terrible after a long winter of use, and then getting thoroughly filthy after trudging along a muddy path. After trying this Hide and Shine leather restorer I’m delighted with the results. My boots are softer, more pliable, clean again, which I thought not possible, and generally looking so much better, as you can see from my before and after photos.
The restorer is a white, viscous liquid in a small bottle. It comes out in tiny amounts as it’s so thick. I didn’t need much to clean up my boots. The instructions are minimal. All you need is a soft cloth, drop a little onto the cloth and gently rub. It lifts the dirt onto the cloth and soaks into the leather. When it looked dried, I rubbed the cloth over the boots again and then gave them a quick buff with a shoe brush. Within ten minutes the boots were transformed and ready for another season. The restorer even cleaned up the sides of the soles.
I expect that this little bottle will go a very long way indeed. I love how versatile this restorer is, because I have other shoes, boots, bags, and my leather car seats could do with a clean. Top marks. I’m impressed. It works a treat.
