So far so good! Always been a Fitbit person but after being on holiday and in the pool it died! Was going to buy another but then thought no I’m not spending silly money anymore so saw this on Amazon and for the price I thought give it a try! Had a week now and at first I thought no Fitbit better but that’s just because of the size of the face. I’m used to it now and it actually works better than Fitbit. In fact it’s picked up that my oxygen levels drop at night whilst sleeping so could possibly be a life saver! Do not hesitate to buy and you won’t be diss appointed!
Bought to try out wearing a smart watch then thought I’d go for more expensive model if I like it. I love it. Won’t be changing. Does everything I want and more. Been wearing for 6 days now and battery still on 48%. Amazing!!
Now I have worked out how to use it. Its dose the job sort of. I need to my blood oxygen levels most of the time. Dose not give any thing like correct levels. Heart rate is better.
As an additional to your phone great.
From Heart Rate monitoring to daily steps and workouts, messaging and making and taking phone calls. This watch has so many benefits they are too long to list. Made from durable plastic with around 5 days between charges that is if your using it to send and receive calls. The small speaker within the watch is crystal clear, you do not need to hold your watch to your ear it can be heard down by your side or whilst jogging / running. Since Apple launched there watch this technology has become better and better year on year. This watch is outstanding value for money with everything you need in today’s sometimes busy lives. I highly recommend this watch with all its bells and whistles.
The watch is very mich ok as functions but not sensitive enough to wake up when you meed it to look at it . Maybe because it needs to dected lifting up , but rotation of the wrist might have been a better option. So often when i just need to look at time i need to make quite a few vigorous movements to wake the face up and see the time . That is my only complain up to now otherwise I like it a lot .
The reason I bought the watch was as a step meter which now only works erroneously i.e. I calibrate it against other step meters and this is always a fraction of the total I have done. For example,I played golf on Friday and wore the watch the whole time. The round of golf comes in at about 12,000 to 15,000 steps but the watch recorded less than a tenth of those steps. So it depends what you want. If you want a good looking watch that links to your phone then this is it. If you want one that will do all of the functions advertised then it has not lasted very long. However, seeing this the company have returned my cost for the purchase.
The Watch is a Great Bargain Basement device. All the relevant things work and is very suited to maybe a child or Young adult due to the somewhat Cartoonesque layouts available.
I Purchased the watch as a back up to save taking My Dail;y Watch “Garmin Fenix 5” on holiday. I have worn both watches to compare some settings and was a little dissapointed by the Step Count error. Reading the FAQs on the Watch App i discovered that the Watch does Not count the first 10 Steps in movement and this is increased to the First 20 at Night (Thats random!!). So as you can see in the pictures over an hour on a treadmill yesterday 2nd Sept i photographed the start on both devices. (The garmin is Calibrated to me and accourate). there was a 597 step discrepancy at the end of the experiment. Where this may not be concidered an issue it is not great for Motivation or trust in the divices accuracy in other areas. On the whole i AM HAPPY with the stand in device but would not trust the distance measurements if there was a need to do so. Heart rate and SATs is also a little gimmicky.
4 stars
I can be careless /clumsy with things so I didn’t want to pay ++++ for an expensive device until I saw how it suits me etc. I needed one for health reasons- to monitor heart rate & sleep so got this one. It’s robust and provides heart rate, O2, sleep info, steps, messaging, weather, music, calls etc. easy to set up, charge lasts well. Has more exercise features which I don’t use. Very good value for money.
I needed it for monitoring my activity during the day. Although I have not used all the facilities as yet it is easy to install from my phone and is currently working well.
I was woken in the night by my watch buzzing. My heart rate was 47 and I had the back pain that has bee a feature of my heart problems. I had turned onto my stomach which is bad for me personally, as I have genetically compromised connective tissue. In hospital recently, they set the alarm went off contnously at 53 but I set it at 51. It later sounded at 47 and 49. Excellent! ( I cannot have a pace maker fitted.)
With the other features and longevity of the battery, charged once when I got it, I think that this watch is a bargain. I have an Apple iwatch and gradually turned off most of the features that I bought it for as it was out of battery before the end of a day. This watch is far more comfortable, less bulky and with a softer strap. The size makes it stay put whereas the smaller iwatch seemed to twist over my narrow wrist.I did try different straps with it too.
I will update if there are any issues which affect any of the endless functions.
Firstly I am not that tech savvy and was pleased how relatively easy setting up the watch was. It did not take long, and the instructions also verify the steps if you need reassurance. As with most devices these days you download the app and then pair with your phone, simples! The phone app called GloryFit (green circle with arrow cursor symbol), allows you to track/monitor all your readings. This includes the usual steps, distance, heart rate and sleep performance. It also includes your blood oxygen level if you want to record this as well. The display on the app is easy on the eye and quite easy to manage. It also allows you to manage various settings, to track if you are doing a run or a cycle and on the whole controls the watch set-up quite well.
Now on to my main gripes, the watch itself does not come on or display the face easily with your wrist movement. It normally takes a few movements for it to come on and is certainly not responsive. The face display which I left to default setting, only stays on for a few seconds so you need to be quick to check the time! In my opinion the manufacturer should have increased the time here to 10 seconds minimum. It can be a bit frustrating. The other slight issue I have picked up so far is that on my first bike ride the cycle app only recorded the first 10Km and then when I tried to restart it was synching and did not record anything. I will try again in a week or so to see if this changes but at the time of writing it is seems quite poor at tracking your full cycle distance and I will probably revert back to Strava.
On the whole I haven’t been too disappointed with this smart watch, yes the jury is out on the longevity of the watch. The watch strap seems a little thin as well but what do you expect for 25! I noted at the beginning that several reviewers said they could not link watch with WhatsApp or Facebook notification. To do this go in to APP reminder setting on GloryFit on your phone, then turn on the Apps you want messages from (under push message) and then it works well. It took me a couple of days to find this so I hope that I save you sometime, I have enclosed pics in my review of the screen prompts.
Based on the price, the few niggles but the fact that the watch does give you everything a smart watch should, I am going to give it full 4 stars. The battery life is excellent and it is easy to charge up when necessary so overall I am quite pleased with my purchase. I hope it lasts longer than my Garmin and if so I will be very pleased.
However I’ve found the notifications features to be more valuable than I expected. Getting a light buzz on my wrist when an email, text, message and even WhatsApp and discord notification (activate these in the phone app) come through is surprisingly useful for me. I can very quickly check if it is something I need to follow up on or dismiss until I have time to sit and browse my phone. Same thing applies for phonecalls. I can quickly see if I need to stop what I’m doing and reach for my phone, or carry on doing what I’m doing and reply to them later.
As for the watch, the quality is very reasonable. Nice bright (adjustable) screen and the strap is comfortable, if a little of a sweat trap, but not serious.
The extremely low cost of the watch means I’m not concerned about it getting knocked while working outdoors. At the price I paid it is practically disposable!
The magnetic charge cable is very convenient and a full charge has lasted me over a few days before recharging crosses my mind. Even then I haven’t seen it drop below 50%. Recharges nice and quickly too.
My only slight gripe would be the delay before the screen turns on after rotating your wrist to wake the screen. It’s not a massive issue but noticeable and may bother some users. Although I’m used to this now and it isn’t something I’d say was a serious negative. Just a niggle.
Overall I’m very happy, great price, easy to connect to phone, nice clear screen with multiple watch-face options (via phone app), useful notification features and of course all the fitness tracking you might need if that’s your interest.
