Perfect size for my son’s basketball duffel bag. He takes it everywhere with him when he plays to keep his basketball pumped up. The whole team uses it. Very durable. Easy to use. Pump your sports balls up fast and easy.
This is a great, small little pump and is easily packed in a bag. I am only going to use it for soccer & basketballs but it also came with adaptors for beach balls or inflatable pool toys which is really useful.
It came with 2 ball pump adaptors, but also came with a really useful extension hose which means the soccer adaptor won’t break as easily – which they always tend to do. I was super impressed with that little addition.
The only thing that I find as a negative here is how small the pump handle is…..it’s so small it makes it a little hard to get a good grip and push/pull. You need to really find a good grip and then you can use it, but if only they had made it a little bigger that would not have been a problem. However, it is still very usable once you get over that, and is a good portable pump to throw in your bag.
I like this air pump a lot because it’s very easy to use and it works quick. The different sizes are very convenient as I can pump up . multiple different things. And the price for the quality is awesome!
I got this ball pump for my sister. It looks terrific. She hasn’t used it yet, however it has a couple needles with it and it was a great price. It arrived quickly. Thank you.
Received this little hand pump and thought it was going to be a little bit bigger to be honest. Let me tell you what I like about it and what I don’t.
I like the fact that it’s actually kind of small and portable. As you can see from one of the photos that I provided, it’s about the length of a dollar bill. At first this size appears appealing, but that might change depending on its use case. I also liked that it came with attachments such as two needles for basketballs, and little cone shaped attachments for balloons or other small use case inflatables. It’s nice and small and portable, but this could be a disadvantage which I’ll talk about.
If you’re going to be inflating something like a basketball or a volleyball, chances are it only needs a little bit of air. This pump works great in that regard. However, if you’re going to be inflating something like a balloon or balloons, that’s where this pump falls short. The reason why is because you’re inserting such a small amount of air, you’re going to be pumping away for a while. I noticed this while inflating a baby shower balloon, and it felt like I was pumping away for almost 5 minutes and nothing was happening.
Eventually, I just remove the pump attachment while leaving the cone inserted, and used my lungs. Surprisingly, within about 20 seconds the balloon was fully inflated. I was a little bit disappointed because I wanted to use the pump and save my lungs. but unfortunately that wasn’t the case in this specific instance. When using the pump to inflate a beach ball, I also noticed that it was taking a while. however when inflating my nephew’s basketball, since it only needed a little bit of air, it worked just fine.
The other thing I don’t like about this pump is that it also makes a weird sound. Not to be over descriptive, but it feels like one of the rubber seals where the nozzle meets the pump, might be loose. I don’t know if this is a defect or a design flaw, but I don’t really think that this had an impact on inflating a balloon. But every time I would pump away it would sound kind of like a farting sound. It was also positional, which meant that I had to make sure that the pump was horizontal to the ground, because if I inclined it at a 45 degree angle or vertically, the sound was so obvious and loud.
In conclusion, I give this pump four out of five stars. Primarily because it does what it says it will in regards to inflating sports balls, but it falls short in regards to bigger objects like a beach ball or a birthday balloon, and it makes a farting sound. If you’re looking for pump to add small amounts of air to like a basketball, this is the one you’re looking for. But in my opinion if you’re looking to pump for larger objects, you should look elsewhere.
