The SunnyOcean Faraday Box is a great investment for security-conscious car owners. It effectively blocks RFID signals, ensuring your key fob is safe from theft. The sleek design and quality materials are a plus. Highly recommended!
This is a small box that looks attractive and leather-esque. It has a metal clip to keep the lid closed. Pop your car keys into this box and close the lid and all signals will be blocked from the keys meaning no-one nearby can clone your car keys. Perfect for all households.

Since this order arrived, it’s been sitting on my work table. It looks great, and works as described. They box is really only just big enough for a modern car key (let’s face it some keys these days are enormous). I had to remove the car key from my carabiner otherwise it wouldn’t fit. Ideally would have been great to have the box a little larger. Suggest you check your requirements before purchasing. Plus I’m using a small key, not large….
The design, build quality, is as advertised.
Overall very pleased with the box, ideally I would recommend the large versus small option.
This Carbon Fiber Car Key Signal Blocker Box is a must-have for protecting your vehicle. Its sleek design effectively blocks RFID signals, preventing theft and GPS tracking. Compact and stylish, it fits easily in your pocket or bag. Highly recommended for peace of mind.
Knowing these days that there are so many scrotebags out there that want to take what you have worked hard for, you want to make sure you can do everything you can to protect them, and with cars, especially now they are becoming more and more expensive, who would have thought a Vauxhall Corsa would be in the high 30k region, I remember them at about 6,700 back in 1993, so keeping your pride and joy safe is paramount these days.
So, when this appeared on the Amazon Vine program it was a definite purchase, we already have one, which is heaving with keys and other bits and pieces, but we wanted one for the everyday car, something that we can put the key in, shut it and know where it is, without rooting around the bigger box.
We have had Faraday bags before, and they can be very hit and miss, mainly miss, so a box, we thought would be better, it arrived, looked the part, seemed well put together, and closed with a confident seal.
We put the key in, shut and closed the latch, walked to the car, nothing, the car refused to open, we undid the lid and the car immediately unlocked, we tried it with one of the other cars in the household, and the same, did not open until we opened the lid.
So we are well happy, and with the size of the box, it is very easy to hide away should we need too, it can be hidden in a clothes draw, or behind similar sized boxes etc, it is the perfect size for the key we keep in there. We wholeheartedly recommend this box, it is well worth the money, and maybe more if it stops your car being thieved.
SunnyOcean’s PU leather wrapped Faraday Box measures in at 16 x 8.5 x 11cm is more than large enough to hold my two car keys. There is a carbon fibre weave pattern embossed in the plastic. This wraps around the whole box; and there aren’t any rubber feet to hold it in place. The lid doesn’t hold itself open when you raise it, which is good as it seals itself back up if you forget to close it. I’m not a huge fan of the boxes looks; it does look a little plastic on my sideboard. It does provide a good home when I get in for my keys and wallet though.
I tested the boxes effectiveness but putting my phone in it and asking my watch to ping it, which didn’t work. If it can block that; it should stop any would be thieves from reading my car keys whilst they are in it.
Prevents the signal being found on the keys. Seems to work well and the car cannot detect the signal from the key when it is in the box so successfully prevents the signal being boosted to steal the car.
The box feels quite lightweight, could have been a better finish but we keep it out of sight anyway so doesn’t make much difference.
A fairly small neat box. You can fit several keys in there or car keys with house keys attached. Tested and it does block the signal. Worth having. Also means that if you keep your keys in it you know where your keys are and they don’t get lost!
This is a lovely little box, although a little wonky in places, but that just adds to its charm. For instance, on mine, the latch on the lid is ever so slightly out of true. And I like it!
The idea of the Faraday is to protect items that operate wirelessly from being compromised in some way. The external dimensions are 11 x 9 x 6 cm, but internally it is somewhat less due to being padded. Nevertheless, it can hold a few key/fobs or credit cards, but is too small for a smartphone.
The box is both well-crafted and looks good, especially with the red stitching and the gold lining.
All in all, not at all bad, but a larger box would be needed to protect your phone.
The SunnyOcean Faraday Box arrived quickly and was packaged with several other items. Now that we have electronic keys, we are aware of the dangers of people being able to ‘piggy-back’ the signal to open your car, so we have all our electronics away from the front of the house. When this Faraday box came up on the Vine program, we thought it would be a good item to review.
The box is smaller than I thought it would be – although to be fair, it is the size as advertised on the internet product page – it is our key that is large! It seems well made and nicely finished with red stitching.
I wondered how I was going to test this, so I put the car key in the box, closed the lid and walked towards the car. Usually, the car automatically opens when I approach, but with the key in the case – nothing! I opened the lid and the car opened – so that works!
If you are worried about the security of your car, or any other electronically activated bits of kit you have -get one of these. Worth the 11.99 cost (at time of writing) for your piece of mind.
Recommended.
This is a nice little Faraday box. Well made and perfectly finished. It does the job it is designed to do. Some people who have large bunches of keys may find it a bit small, one key and a fob will be fine.
Technology now enables crooks to gain access to your credit cards and car remote controls from a distance. This explains the popularity of blocking devices, known as Faraday cages, after Dr Michael Faraday who invented it in the 1830s. The cage/box etc is lined with material that blocks the entry and exit of the electromagnetic radiation that is used by remote control devices.
This beautifully made box, which measured about 11 x 9 x 6 cm, is intended to house car keys and credit cards while they are not being used, such as at night. Any potential outside attempt to communicate with them will fail.
I tested the box with my mobile phone and smart watch. The watch was inside the box and did not register a missed call when I dialled the mobile from my landline. As a control, the watch did register a missed call when it was not in the box (it’s always important to do a control experiment).
So, a very nicely made and good-looking item that serves a very useful purpose. It is quite small but there is enough space for several car keys as long as the fobs aren’t too big.
This key screening box works fine and is fairly well finished, although the catch on mine is not straight (and feels fairly insubstantial – guessing that will be the thing that breaks). Inside has a padded top and bottom lined with a gold-finish fabric (the sides are not padded. It is presented bagged inside a plain cardboard box. Fair value at 10 today.
