These come in their own branded packet. You will need the Swiss Point tool to install these or something similar.
I requested these as the 26mm points I have at the moment are just a bit too short as I throw with my finger resting on the point and with the 26mm ones my finger was actually in front of the tip. I did try the 35mm ones and they were just too long and a bit unwieldy for me and really affected the balance.
Changing the points to these and my grip is much better and I have more control, so I will be sticking with these.
In conclusion, well made points that I’m glad I got.
They feature a distinctive design and come in three different lengths and finishes, all crafted from durable stainless steel. Target Darts Swiss points are high-quality and provide a simple solution for replacing damaged points. Highly recommended
These points are class in that they look good, the longer ones allow tighter grouping in my opinion and the design of these mean they’re more likely to stay in the board. When new they’re actually quite difficult to pull out! They can also pull out the inner of the dartboard material. So although the performance is amazing and bounce outs are reduced you have to take into account the wear and tear on your own board. If you’re playing an important match you might fancy using these but for practice your board is going to wear like crazy. I find the aggressive pattern a bit over the top for everyday play and non professional use. The quality is mint and I love the points but go for the less harsh design.
As expected these Swiss points from Target are a quality addition to my darts setup.
Firstly they look fantastic and really compliment my Rob Cross darts. They took seconds to install using the Swiss point tool which is included with your darts if you have a compatible set.
Grip is sensational – at first I actually struggled to get these out of the board but after a short time throwing they eased up and became easier to remove.
I went for the 35mm which is a personal preference but these balance my darts out and give me more room around the board so more chance of a 180!
I’ve read people have had issues with them snapping but I’ve been using Swiss points since last year and not had a set snap yet. They are super strong and as they grip so well there’s less chance of bounce out. The good thing is that if they do snap they’re easily replaced!
5 stars – recommended!
I’m really impressed with these points which arrived in a sealed, branded plastic sleeve, and you can tell they’re well-made right out of the package. Each pack has 3 sets of tips. Swapping out the points is quick and easy, which is great when you need to replace damaged points or want to change your style. They’re made from stainless steel and vacuum-hardened for extra durability, making them a very solid addition to my darts equipment. Just keep in mind that you’ll need a Swiss Point tool to install them, which isn’t included, but if you’re into darts, you likely already have a similar tool that will work. I’ve been really happy with these points so far—they stay in the board without deflecting and perform really well.
I love Storm Points, I know they’re a bit love or hate in the community but I’m 100% on the love side. First up, let’s get the superficial side out the way: yes, they absolutely do look cool. But more than that, they really do help your darts stick in the board. I usually use the nano points, but these are another level of grip on top of those. In fact, for the first game or so, I’d say they are almost too grippy, but it does relax a little after they’ve been thrown a few times. You also want to give them a little twist as you pull to help them come out the board easier. I honestly don’t have any stats about whether or not the shape helps them deflect better and prevent bounce outs etc. but I can definitely see how they might. Honestly I’m more in it for the grip. I tried the 26mm version, which are more or less the “standard” size, the ones you get when you buy new darts and they were ideal. They’re super easy to remove, provided you have a swiss point tool to hand, and other than that, very good all round. I know some people report them breaking frequently, I can honestly say I’ve never broken a single one, but I do play with a full length dart mat, so maybe that helps as when I do get a bounce out the darts hit a relatively soft floor. I just keep an extra set in my case anyway, just in case, but yeah, as I say, never had one break yet. As far as grip goes, I’ve never seen a point like these and they stick in the board like crazy. If that’s your main goal, or you use the point in your grip and want something textured on your finger, then these will suit you to the ground. The black colour does fade over time and they turn a bit more dark-grey or silvery, but never totally get stripped of their colour. As I said, I love storm points and will use them as long as Target keep making them.
