We’ve been travelling this summer and wanted to wrap our kindle up safe and sound. This case turned out to be a really good option – it feels quality in the hand and has a good firm shape and thickness. The overall feel is like an official product, the overall fit and finish is really nice. And thats important for something you hold for hours at a time – a really good case.
I have used my kindle everyday since I got this and it is still going strong with hardly any use of wear. I love that it switches off the screen when you shut it and then turns it on when you open it so you don’t need to press the button underneath. Its easy and comfortable to hold and really light weight!
This case is a simple single colour case, which wipes-clean really easily. It seems to give quite a decent level of protection – my previous case was a hard-shell, so whilst that felt like it gave a higher level of protection it was heavier, and this definitely has a weight advantage over those. My only issue with it is that it only came in single colours and I much prefer patterns, but as a protective case it works really well.
I have two kindles. One of my children is a reluctant reader and reading from a kindle seems to make him enjoy reading a bit more than reading on a paper page. Who can blame him? He can adjust font size and lighting on a kindle, so I guess that makes it easier and technology always makes him feel cool.
I am gave him my older kindle to use over the summer holidays. Trouble was, it had a lovely hand-crafted leather cover that I bought (not cheap) in Italy a few years ago. I was not about to let my child use and abuse that beautiful kindle cover! So, I ordered this one to put on the kindle while my kid has it. It fits well (please see my photos: no gaps!), protects as well as (if not better than) my leather cover, and the price is fair.
I took these photos when I first put the case on the kindle, but now it’s covered with stickers… which doesn’t bother me in the least (it’s not beautiful hand-tooled leather, right?!) and which makes my son feel even cooler when reading.
Two thumbs up.
I always think electrical gadgets like a Kindle should come with a case. I resent having to pay big money to protect something that didn’t cost much more than the case. So I held off buying an Amazon or Kindle branded case for a while after buying a Kindle.
Eventually I needed something so that I’d feel it was protected whilst travelling and on holiday.
This case or cover is excellent. It’s a matt black soft touch case with a hard plastic frame and front and back panels in a much thinner and softer material covering a sheet of protective plastic.
It looks good and doesn’t add much extra weight or size to the Kindle. The extra weight isn’t a big deal for me since I get to bring hundreds of books. The front cover has a flexible hinge that allows the cover to fold over to the back of the “book” and stays in position when closed by some magnetism.
When the cover is opened the Kindle comes to life so it’s all you could want in a Kindle cover and case. It was a good price too.
Highly recommended.
I like the colour, the sturdyness, the flip open design, the magnetic closure.
It does indeed go to sleep when closed(if wifi is connected it will show ads when sleeping)
Opening does wake it up.
Feels really durable. Highly recommended
Quite a simple, nice case/cover for the paperwhite.
The case part fits well, no really obvious moulding or manufacturing issues. It’s not too thick but has some corner protection and feels sturdy enough.
The attached cover is nice enough, clean and slightly soft synthetic material with a pretty solid magnetic close. It folds all the way back and the hinge can feel a bit thin at times as it’s part of the cover material but no concerns yet.
Just a really nice and simple cover, customisable and not too expensive, definitely worth a look if it’s in your budget and you like the more protective, but not too bulky style.
This is a fairly cheap case for a kindle Paperwhite (i.e. not the basic model).
The case is reasonably good and fits well. It’s not too tight but there’s no chance of the kindle falling out of this case, it’s just tight enough! It’s not the strongest of materials but it is nice and light. All of the ports, lights on the Kindle etc have cut-outs in the case and the surround doesn’t get in the way of any touch-screen functions.
The auto-wake and sleep works perfectly, opening and closing the lid of the case wakes and sleeps the kindle as expected. But the lid is also the problem area with this case. There is no catch, mechanical or magnetic, so the lid will easily open. If you drop this case, there’s nothing to stop the lid opening, exposing the screen of your Kindle during the fall, so the screen could be damaged if it doesn’t fall on a flat surface.
In summary then, a good value case, but it really needs some sort of catch for the cover.
This case fits well, and I am confident with the protection it supplies.
Compared to the OEM original, this product is a bit more plasticky and doesn’t feel as if it would be as long lasting – but the price is good, so it’s good value overall.
I am using it day to day with my Kindle – no complaints at all.
I recently purchased the TQQ Kindle Paperwhite Case for my 11th Generation 2021 release, and it has been a great addition to my e-reader. This slim and lightweight cover provides full protection while maintaining a sleek profile.
One of the best features of this case is the auto sleep/wake function. It works flawlessly, waking up my Kindle when I open the cover and putting it to sleep when I close it. This not only saves battery life but also adds a layer of convenience to using my device.
The magnetic closure is another highlight. It keeps the cover securely closed, ensuring that the screen is protected from scratches and dust when not in use. The magnets are strong enough to keep the cover shut but not so strong that it’s difficult to open.
In terms of build quality, the case feels sturdy and well-made. The material has a nice texture and provides a good grip, making it comfortable to hold for extended reading sessions. The black colour is sleek and professional, and it complements the design of the Kindle Paperwhite nicely.
However, there are a couple of minor downsides. The cover, while slim, does add a bit of bulk to the Kindle, which might be noticeable if you’re used to using it without a case. Additionally, the inside of the cover could benefit from a softer lining to provide extra screen protection.
In terms of value for money, I find this case to be reasonably priced considering the level of protection and the additional features it offers. It’s a worthwhile investment to keep my Kindle safe and looking new.
Overall, the TQQ Kindle Paperwhite Case is a stylish and functional accessory for the 11th Generation Paperwhite. Its auto sleep/wake function, magnetic closure, and solid protection make it a great choice for anyone looking to safeguard their e-reader. If you need a reliable and sleek case, this one is definitely worth considering.
This case does what you’d expect (make sure it matches your Kindle model), and firmly holds and protects a Kindle Paperwhite (2021 edition). The flip-over cover is simple enough, but it makes use of a magnetic catch with the Kindle – so flipping the cover turns the kindle ‘off’ (that is, on to the screensaver, with a need to press the button and do the steps needed to wake it up).
The finish is a kind of matt plastic, which doesn’t strike me as all that attratice, or pleasant to the touch – but it is practical, and will probably wipe clean easily enough if the need should arise.
At the time of writing this review, the price is 11.99 which is a reasonable price for the cover. The advertised ‘full price’ is much higher; I’m not sure I’d pay anywhere near that much.
