Arrived 2 days early which I regard as an excellent service. The plates fitted perfectly & as they are fully adjustable I was confident that they would fit. Excellent product, assembly is just 2 little wing bolts and they are ready for use.
Like many of you our BBQ heat shields were done.
My wife found these in packs of 5 for about $50. At our local store the heat plates are around $40 each, which weren’t anything special. So to find 5 of these for $50 was worth it.
The assembly was super easy and they took the heat. I had to do a burn off and the thermometer on my BBQ read 980F. All being said, if we get 2 seasons out of them, we’re good with that.
Highly recommend these. They’re inexpensive, but they’re not cheaper for what you get.
Sturdy product, appearing well made. Delivered quickly and on time. Easy to piece together and are a good replacement for my existing shields. Not used yet so will have to fully assess when barby out next year!
I think they need to get people to work out how to install these things themselves then get them to write the instructions. Whoever wrote the ones for this product was a bad, lazy person who literally could not be bothered.
That aside, good product. Once I figured out how it all went together (much simpler than I feared – no thanks to the instructions) – I was able to install it in my Outback Spectrum 3 burner BBQ without issue (and was left with one spare!).
It is made of sturdy stuff and worked perfectly when I put it to the test. Good value for money overall.
The plates seem to be solid and well coated. They are easy to assemble with wing nuts – two on each plate. I expect that after some use, the nuts will rust into place. The plates consist of two sliding pieces so that the length can be adjusted according to your BBQ. Mine is a small 2-burner and the plates fit perfectly. The coating on the plates seems thick and I might expect these plates to out-survive the rest of the BBQ.
