Like it cool? Get these. These are lightweight and constant speed fans but my newly built/ refreshed rig is now a wind tunnel with a 10 year old fan as an exhaust. The CPU and GPU are not tipping over 35C – want to chill? Buy these. I may have to buy another 1 or 3 for the exhaust…
I’ve not used this brand of fan before and on initial inspection, they do feel a little less substantial than some other brands, but then they are considerably cheaper.
I plugged them in to a power supply to test them and they all worked fine and were quite a bit quieter than the feel of them would suggest which was reassuring.
They have both three and four pin connectors which gives you options and is a nice touch.
I’ll be putting one of these into a power supply I’m building up and if the others don’t end up in my PC, I’ll no doubt find other uses for them.
While time will tell on the durability of them, these definitely seem to be a bit of a bargain so far.
These fans are just what I need to enhance the air flow in and out of my gaming pc.
Whilst the graphics cards and MB have good cooling, with the warmer weather the overall temperatures just rise quite a lot.
These fans have made a big difference and are very effective.
They are barebones and come with connectors and screws, but I have added some foam mounts between the fan enclosure and mounting points to help with the overall vibration in the case.
Coming boxed in a stack of three these initially felt thin and brittle but once fitting have become a well welcome fan that are giving a good airflow with a acceptable level of sound. They are 3pin or molex and designed to be set to just run at full power which they do well. They can also be daisy chained if your limited on pins so better for a rear/exhaust setup.
The ‘upHere gaming 120mm Silent Computer Case Fan – 3 Pack, Ultra Quiet High Airflow, High Performance Cooling for PC Cases, 12BK3-3’ arrived in a branded box.
I have used upHere 120mm PWM fans before and found them effective, so decided to give these a try on a basic machine I am building that doesn’t need all bells and whistles. I only need one fan at present, but spares are always good to have.
The fan was easy to install after direction of airflow was confirmed. It would have been nice if rubber dampers had been provided for the mounting points.
I needed a few replacement fans for the top of my pc case. These were perfect for what I needed. They installed very easily and are relatively quiet. Great for positive pressure to help keep the inside cool. I have seen a drop by a few degrees which is great as I have a rather hot running Ryzen 7 CPU
