I bought this and its Thunderbolt4 counterpart.
There is no performance between to 20Gbps and the 40Gbps Thunderbolt4 – if both ends are not Thunderbolt4. This cable is well made, is a snug fit into Laptop and the External Disk store, unlike some cables which go loose this does not. Nor is it too fat to interfere with the card when used in a PC – which stops it being a snug fit and so is an unreliable connection. This long cable comes with a velco cabled tidy which is useful, eg is you are planning to keep it in your laptop bad. It also plugs into my mobile from the Laptop (dell) docking station and charges quickly as well does file transfers quickly.
So you dont need a fancy Thunderbolt4 cable as there is little out there that can connect to it.
This Cable also can drive a 4K monitor (from the hub or laptop) with ease.
