he hanger is very cheaply made something more durable needs to be used. now at 5 layers it will be great for 20 to 30 lbs bows more then that your arrows will pass thru about 6 inches with a 54 lbs setup on a compound bow 40 lbs recurve a bit less how ever if your shot placment is good enought to hit the yellow or bulls eye a lot you will put excessive ware fast and youll toast it but otherwise its pretty good id suggest just using 20 to 25 lbs to get the most use from it. you might also want to consider 2 other options a 7 layer version to get more life or using this one at 5 layers a backer of some sort this would increase the life of the target alot and i do mean a lot letting arrows just pass thru all the time with no backer well there you go,, the price is not bad but could be cheaper for what we are getting here there are way better targets for the same or a few bucks more but if your a trad shooter freak for your target style this is what we get.. arrows come out really easy as well. so far i have put over 200 arrows into it but the last 150 or so was with a backer which helped a lot and cuts ware down alot..
