I’ve got a little one who has been struggling with sleep and having noise machines seems to have been the answer. This little igloo while cute, does do what it says with the noise it makes and is soothing when you can set a timer.
What let’s it down is the lack of being able to charge it or having an option to plug into mains, which means you end up changing batteries quiet often.
I don’t think this is one of those items which is a must have for a baby or one that will necessarily be used a great deal.
Having said that, I don’t think there is anything wrong with it. It’s appearance is cute. The sounds it makes are suitably soothing for bedtime. The penguin is soft and sweet and it’s a nice touch that you can remove it and cuddle it.
It has the option to set a timer so it can turn off after a certain period of time if you leave it on to soothe your child while they are going to sleep.
It requires two AA batteries but would be more practical if it also offered the choice of mains plug in as you’ll go through a lot of batteries if your kid does love it and want to use it at every sleep time

The night light consists of two parts, the igloo that projects the light and a soft penguin that your child can remove a hold if they wish.
The music is soft, soothing and helps creating a lovely atmosphere to help your little one get to sleep. The controls on the back are easy to use form setting the timing, to the lights and volume.

This is great for bed time. It is a lovely night lamp which projects colourful shapes onto the ceiling. It comes with a cute penguin which you stick inside and it will play soothing music to help your little one go to sleep. There is an adjustable timer on it as well so it will automatically switch off after a set present time. The quality is great. I trust v tech stuff and have done for years. It’s well build and durable. It comes with the batteries included so we could start using it straight away.

You can remove the penguin from the igloo, to give it a little cuddle. The igloo light goes off when the penguin is not at home, put him back in to see it light up again.
Nice clear English-sounding female voice does the speaking and singing.
The music is clear and loud enough without doing any damage to babies ears.
A lovely toy, which sings and and soothes.
Buttons to control the light and volume, as well as the buttons on the front to switch it on/off, or choose music, noise or night modes.
Great for gifting
The Soothing Starlight Igloo from VTech Baby would be perfect if you’re looking for a gift for a new baby as this is appropriate from birth. Toys for babies can be a little hit and miss. I tend to prefer those that will, like this, grow with a child and still have resonance and interest when they’ve become toddlers.
Who could resist this little penguin with igloo? It’s so cute. Soft and cuddly, babies love it. Put it into the igloo and the igloo lights up which, for a baby or very young child, must seem magical. In my opinion, this toy is great value for money as it incorporates lots of functions and can help very young children to settle down more effectively.
There are more than 60 songs, tunes, phrases and sounds including nature and white noise plus a lovely star projector’s incorporated. Parents can set a timer – 3 different options there – to suit their child’s needs, which of course may alter as a baby grows. The igloo theme would make this a perfect Christmas gift but it would be well received year round – by babies, toddlers, parents and grandparents alike.

My grandchildren loved it and bedtime tonight became very calm and relaxing which is very out of the ordinary !!
The plush little penguin is machine washable and very cuddle-able, perfectly sized for little hands, and if he is in his igloo and the monitor senses crying he will create a soothing, reassuring environment.
The timer is handy and means I can set it to turn off without having to go into the bedroom and risking disturbing them, and the volume control means it can be customised to suit.
Two AA batteries are included but more for demo purposes and I’d suggest changing them out.
I really like this little sleep aid.
It creates a nice relaxing bedtime routine and also is reassuring to the child.
It’s fairly priced in my opinion, well made and I would recommend it.
